< Job 2 >

1 Again it happened on the day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, that Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.
Ke sun len se ma lipufan inkusrao uh enenu in sifilpa tuku ye mutun LEUM GOD, Satan el sifilpa welulos tuku.
2 The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, and said, "From going back and forth on the earth, and from walking up and down on it."
Na LEUM GOD El siyuk sel, “Kom muta ya tuku?” Na Satan el fahk, “Nga foroht na forma rarauni faclu.”
3 The LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? For there is none like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil. And he still holds firmly to his integrity, although you incited me against him, to ruin him without cause."
Na LEUM GOD El siyuk sel, “Ac kom tuh liyal Job, mwet kulansap luk? Wangin sie mwet fin faclu wo ac inse pwaye nu sik oana el. El alu nu sik, ac arulana karinganang elan tia orala kutena ma koluk. Kom tuh kifusyu nwe nga lela nu sum in akupaye nu sel ke wangin, tusruktu Job el srakna inse pwayena nu sik oana meet ah.”
4 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, "Skin for skin. Indeed, all that a man has he will give for his life.
Na Satan el fahk, “Mwet se ac ku na in pilesrala ma nukewa lal elan mau ku in moul.
5 But put forth your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse you to your face."
Tusruktu kom ac fin akkolukyela manol, el ac ngetot nu sum ac selngawikomi!”
6 The LORD said to Satan, "Look, he is in your power. Only preserve his life."
Ouinge LEUM GOD El fahk nu sel Satan, “Kwal, inge el oan inpoum, tusruktu nimet kom unilya.”
7 So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the top of his head.
Na Satan el fahsr lukel LEUM GOD ac oru tuh faf puspis in sikyak ac nokomla nufon manol Job.
8 And he took for himself a potsherd to scrape himself with while he sat among the ashes.
Job el som ac muta ke nien sisi kutkut, ac sang ipin ahlu fokelik se srike in koala faf kacl inge.
9 Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold firmly to your integrity? Curse God, and die."
Na mutan kial ah fahk nu sel, “Kom srakna sruokyana lulalfongi lom an oana meet ah. Efu ku kom tia tari selngawi God ac misa?”
10 But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. Shall we indeed accept good at the hand of God, and shall we not accept adversity?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips.
Na Job el topuk ac fahk, “Kom kaskas oana mwet na lalfon se. Ke God El ase ma wo nu sesr, kut insewowo kac. Na efu ku kut in torkaskas El fin ase ma upa nu sesr?” Job el ne arulana keok, a el tiana torkaskas lain God.
11 Now when Job's three friends heard of all this adversity that had come on him, they each came from his own place: Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite, and they made an appointment together to come to sympathize with him and to comfort him.
Tolu sin mwet kawuk lal Job uh pa Eliphaz sie mwet in siti Teman, Bildad sie mwet Shuah, ac Zophar sie mwet Naamah. Ke elos lohngak lah Job el arulana keok, elos nunkauk elos in som ac akpwaryal.
12 When they lifted up their eyes from a distance, and did not recognize him, they raised their voices, and wept; and they each tore his robe, and threw dust in the air over their heads.
Ke elos srakna fahsr loes lukel Job, elos liyalak, tusruktu elos tiana akilenul. A ke pacl se elos akilenulak elos mutawauk in wowoyak ke tung, ac seya nuknuk lalos ke asor, ac sisak fohkfok nu lucng ah nu fin sifalos.
13 So they sat down with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spoke a word to him, for they saw that his pain was very great.
