Hosea 9
1 Do not rejoice, Israel, to jubilation like the nations; for you were unfaithful to your God. You love the wages of a prostitute at every grain threshing floor.
| لَا تَبْتَهِجْ يَا إِسْرَائِيلُ وَلا تَطْرَبْ كَبَقِيَّةِ الشُّعُوبِ، لأَنَّكَ قَدْ خُنْتَ إِلَهَكَ وَهَجَرْتَهُ، وَأَحْبَبْتَ أُجْرَةَ الزِّنَى عَلَى كُلِّ بَيَادِرِ الْحِنْطَةِ. | ١ |
2 The threshing floor and the winepress won't feed them, and the new wine will fail her.
| لِهَذَا فَإِنَّ الْبَيْدَرَ وَالْمِعْصَرَةَ لَا يُطْعِمَانِكُمْ وَالْخَمْرَةَ الْجَدِيدَةَ لَا تُلَبِّي حَاجَتَكُمْ. | ٢ |
3 They won't dwell in the LORD's land; but Ephraim will return to Egypt, and they will eat unclean food in Assyria.
| لَنْ تَظَلُّوا مُقِيمِينَ فِي أَرْضِ الرَّبِّ بَلْ يَرْجِعَ أَفْرَايِمُ إِلَى دِيَارِ مِصْرَ، وَيَأْكُلُوا لَحْماً نَجِساً فِي أَشُّورَ. | ٣ |
4 They won't pour out wine offerings to the LORD, neither will they be pleasing to him. Their sacrifices will be to them like the bread of mourners; all who eat of it will be polluted; for their bread will be for their appetite. It will not come into the house of the LORD.
| لَا تَسْكُبُوا لِلرَّبِّ خَمْراً وَلَنْ تَسُرَّهُ ذَبَائِحُكُمْ، بَلْ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ كَخُبْزِ النَّائِحِينَ. كُلُّ مَنْ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ يَتَنَجَّسُ، إِذْ يَكُونُ خُبْزُكُمْ لِسَدِّ جُوعِكُمْ فَقَطْ، وَلا يَدْخُلُ أَبَداً إِلَى بَيْتِ الرَّبِّ. | ٤ |
5 What will you do in the day of solemn assembly, and in the day of the feast of the LORD?
| مَاذَا تَفْعَلُونَ فِي يَوْمِ الاِحْتِفَالِ وَفِي يَوْمِ عِيدِ الرَّبِّ؟ | ٥ |
6 For, look, they have gone away from destruction. Egypt will gather them up. Memphis will bury them. Nettles will possess their pleasant things of silver. Thorns will be in their tents.
| حَتَّى لَوْ سَلِمْتُمْ مِنَ الْخَرَابِ فَإِنَّ مِصْرَ تَجْمَعُكُمْ وَمَنْفَ تُفْنِيكُمْ وَتَدْفِنُكُمْ. يَرِثُ الْقَرِيصُ نَفَائِسَ فِضَّتِكُمْ، وَيَنْمُو الْعَوْسَجُ فِي مَنَازِلِكُمْ. | ٦ |
7 The days of visitation have come. The days of reckoning have come. Let Israel know. The prophet is a fool, and the man of the spirit is mad, because of the abundance of your sins, and because your hostility is great.
| لَقَدْ أَزِفَتْ أَيَّامُ الْعِقَابِ وَحَانَ يَوْمُ الْحِسَابِ، فَلْيَعْلَمْ إِسْرَائِيلُ هَذَا. لِكَثْرَةِ إِثْمِكَ وَفَرْطِ حِقْدِكَ حُسِبَ النَّبِيُّ أَحْمَقَ، وَرَجُلُ الرُّوحِ مَجْنُوناً. | ٧ |
8 A prophet watches over Ephraim with my God. A fowler's snare is on all of his paths, and hostility in the house of his God.
| إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ هُوَ رَقِيبُ أَفْرَايِمَ شَعْبِ إِلَهِي، غَيْرَ أَنَّ فَخَّ صَيَّادٍ قَدْ نُصِبَ فِي كُلِّ طُرُقِهِ، وَطَغَى الْحِقْدُ عَلَى بَيْتِ إِلَهِي. | ٨ |
9 They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity. He will punish them for their sins.
| قَدْ أَوْغَلُوا فِي الْفَسَادِ كَمَا حَدَثَ فِي أَيَّامِ جِبْعَةَ، لِهَذَا سَيَذْكُرُ إِثْمَهُمْ وَيُعَاقِبُهُمْ عَلَى خَطَايَاهُمْ. | ٩ |
10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness. I saw your fathers as the first ripe in the fig tree at its first season; but they came to Baal Peor, and consecrated themselves to the shameful thing, and became abominable like that which they loved.
| وَجَدْتُ إِسْرَائِيلَ كَعِنَبٍ فِي الْبَرِّيَّةِ، وَرَأَيْتُ آبَاءَهُمْ كَبَاكُورَةِ ثَمَرِ شَجَرَةِ التِّينِ فِي أَوَّلِ مَوْسِمِهَا. وَلَكِنَّهُمُ الْتَصَقُوا بِبَعْلِ فَغُورَ وَنَذَرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ لِلصَّنَمِ الْمُخْزِي، فَأَصْبَحُوا رِجْساً نَظِيرَ الشَّيْءِ الَّذِي أَحَبُّوهُ. | ١٠ |
11 As for Ephraim, their glory will fly away like a bird. There will be no birth, none with child, and no conception.
| إِنَّ مَجْدَ أَفْرَايِمَ يَتَوَارَى كَالطَّائِرِ الْمُحَلِّقِ إِذْ يَمُوتُ أَوْلادُكُمْ فِي أَثْنَاءِ الْوِلادَةِ أَوْ فِي الأَرْحَامِ، أَوْ لَا يُحْبَلُ بِهِمْ أَبَداً. | ١١ |
12 Though they bring up their children, yet I will bereave them, so that not a man shall be left. Indeed, woe also to them when I depart from them.
| وَحَتَّى إِنْ أَنْجَبُوا أَوْلاداً فَإِنِّي أَحْرِمُكُمْ مِنْهُمْ حَتَّى لَا يَبْقَى مِنْهُمْ أَحَدٌ. وَيْلٌ لَكُمْ حِينَ أَنْصَرِفُ عَنْكُمْ. | ١٢ |
13 I have seen Ephraim, like Tyre, planted in a pleasant place; but Ephraim will bring out his children to the murderer.
| مَصِيرُ أَبْنَاءِ أَفْرَايِمَ، كَمَا أَرَى، هُوَ الوُقُوعُ فِي قَبْضَةِ الصَّيَّادِ، لأَنَّ أَفْرَايِمَ، يَقْتَادُ أَبْنَاءَهُ لِلذَّبْحِ. | ١٣ |
14 Give them—LORD what will you give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.
| أَعْطِهِمْ يَا رَبُّ: وَلَكِنْ مَاذَا تُعْطِيهِمْ؟ أَعْطِهِمْ نِسَاءً ذَوَاتِ أَرْحَامٍ مُسْقِطَةٍ، وَأَثْدَاءَ جَافَّةٍ. | ١٤ |
15 "All their wickedness is in Gilgal; for there I hated them. Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of my house. I will love them no more. All their rulers are rebels.
| فِي الْجِلْجَالِ ارْتَكَبُوا جَمِيعَ شُرُورِهِمْ، فَكَرِهْتُهُمْ هُنَاكَ. لِسُوءِ أَعْمَالِهِمْ أَطْرُدُهُمْ مِنْ بَيْتِي وَلا أَعُودُ أُحِبُّهُمْ، فَكُلُّ رُؤَسَائِهِمْ مُتَمَرِّدُونَ. | ١٥ |
16 Ephraim is struck. Their root has dried up. They will bear no fruit. Even though they bring forth, yet I will kill the beloved ones of their womb."
| أَفْرَايِمُ مُصَابٌ. قَدْ جَفَّتْ أُصُولُهُمْ فَلَنْ يُثْمِرُوا، وَإِنْ أَنْجَبُوا فَإِنِّي أُهْلِكُ أَبْنَاءَهُمُ الأَعِزَّاءَ. | ١٦ |
17 My God will cast them away, because they did not listen to him; and they will be wanderers among the nations.
| يَنْبِذُهُمْ إِلَهِي لأَنَّهُمْ أَبَوْا الِاسْتِمَاعَ إِلَيْهِ، لِهَذَا يَتَشَرَّدُونَ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ. | ١٧ |
