< Hebrews 5 >

1 For every high priest, being taken from among people, is appointed for people in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
Ulakuva untekechi umbavaha uvyahalilwe ukhuhuma na mbanu, uhalilwe ukwima kuvanu mufinu ifya Nguluve ukuta ahumie enekelo ya mbivi.
2 The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness.
Ivwesya ukuvatolela mu mbwololo nu vupelwa nu lukani ulakova vope mwene achunguliwe nu vulemwa.
3 Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself.
Ku njila eye, anogile ukuhumia enekelo ku mbivi cha mnene ndu umu avombile ku mbivi cha vanu.
4 Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was.
Asikuli umunu uvigega ilisima ele kusavuli ya mwene, umwene impaka ilangiwe nu Nguluve, nduvu zle u Aron.
5 So also Christ did not glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, "You are my Son. Today I have become your Father."
Ata uKlisite sa iyepe ilisima yuvwya mwene ukuva intekhechi imbaha. Ulakuva uNguluve achovile nu mwene, “Uve ve mwana vango, ilelo nivile Dadayo.”
6 As he says also in another place, "You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek." (aiōn g165)
Ndu uvu achovile puvunge, “Uve veve intekhechi koke whani kya Melkizedeki.” (aiōn g165)
7 In the days of his flesh, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
Munseki ugwa mwene ugwa mbili, adovile nu kudovela, andovile uNguluve na kulwihochi, ku mwene uvi ivnesye ukumpoka ukuhuma kuvufwe. Kuvudekedeke vwa mwene kwa Nguluve, apulikike.
8 Although he was a Son, he learned obedience by the things which he suffered.
Upu ingave ale mwana, amanyile uwedihichi kumbombo ichontesiche.
9 Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of everlasting salvation, (aiōnios g166)
Agingachiove na ku njila iye avombike ku kila munu uvi ikumwediko ukuva vupoki vwa siku choni, (aiōnios g166)
10 named by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
Pa kwimikiwa nu Nguluve pakuva untekhechi umbaha ukulutile unseke gwa Melkizedeki.
11 About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing.
Tulinagwo mingi agakuchova kunongwa ya Yesu, pu pakafu ukuvavola ukova umwe mule volo ukupulika.
12 For when by reason of the time you ought to be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God. You have come to need milk, not solid food.
Puingave ku kaseki aka mukanogile ukuva va vamanyisi, mukale ukuta umunu ale avamanyisye ulumanyisyo ulutachi ulwa ndagilo cha limenyu lya Nguluve. Munogile ulukama sio ikwakulya ikikafu.
13 For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby.
Pu ulakova uvi inywa ulu kama lwenu, inchila welewa mu mbofu mbwe uasa yelweli ulakuva mukale mulivaana.
14 But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
Kuluvafu ulunge, ikyakulya ikikafu kwa vanu avakulu, vala uvu vivwesya lekulehania uvuyelweli nu vuvivi vamanyisiwe ukuvumanya uvunonu nu vuvivi.
