Ephesians 6
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
子たる者よ、主に於て汝等の父母に從へ、蓋是正當の事なり。
2 "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise:
「汝の父母を敬へ」とは、約束を附したる第一の掟にして、
3 "that it may be well with you, and that you may live long in the land."
即ち「汝が福を得て地上に長命ならん為」となり。
4 And fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
父たる者よ、汝等も其子等の怒を買ふ事なくして、主の規律と訓戒との中に之を育てよ。
5 Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ;
奴隷たる者よ、キリストに從ふが如くに畏れ慄き、単純なる心を以て肉身上の主人に順へ。
6 not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as people-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
人々の意に適はんとするが如くに目前のみにて事へず、キリストの奴隷として心より神の思召を為し、
7 with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to people;
事ふる事、人に於てせず主に於てするが如くに、快くせよ。
8 knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free.
其は奴隷たると自由の身たるとを問はず、各自の為したる善は、何れも主より報いらるべしと知ればなり。
9 You masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.
主人たる者よ、汝等も亦奴隷に對ひて為す事斯の如くにして、彼等に威嚇を加ふること勿れ、其は彼等と汝等との主天に在して、人に就きて偏り給ふ事なしと知ればなり。
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.
第四項 信者は雄々しく信仰の為に戰ふべし 終に臨みて、兄弟等よ、汝等主に於て又其大能の勢力に於て氣力を得、
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
惡魔の計畧に勝つことを得ん為に、神の武具を身に着けよ。
12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world's rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (aiōn g165)
其は我等の戰ふべきは血肉に對ひてには非ず、権勢及び能力、此暗黒の世の司等、天空の惡霊等に對ひてなればなり。 (aiōn g165)
13 Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.
然れば惡き日に抵抗し、萬事に成功して立つ事を得ん為に、神の武具を執れ。
14 Stand therefore, having the belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
然れば起て汝等、腰に眞實を帯し、身に正義の鎧を着け、
15 and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace;
足に平和の福音に對する奮發を履き、
16 above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
凡ての場合に於て惡魔の火箭を消すべき信仰の楯を執り、
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the spoken word of God;
救霊の兜と神の御言なる[聖]霊の剣を執り、
18 with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints:
尚且凡て祈祷及び懇願を以て、何れの機會に於ても聖霊に由りて祈り、忍耐を以て聖徒一同の為に懇願する事に注意せよ。
19 on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,
又我為にも然なして、我は福音の奥義の為に鎖に繋がれたる使節なれば、憚らず口を開きて之を知らする様、言を賜はり、
20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
之に就きて我が語るべき儘に敢て語る様に祈れ。
21 But that you also may know my affairs, how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make known to you all things;
結末 我に関する事、我為す事を汝等も知らん為に、我至愛なる兄弟にして主の忠實なる役者たるチキコは、萬事を汝等に告ぐるならん。
22 whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know our state, and that he may comfort your hearts.
我が彼を遣はししは之が為、即ち彼が我等に関する事を汝等に知らせて、汝等の心を慰めん為なり。
23 Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
願はくは父にて在す神、及び主イエズス、キリストより、平安と愛と信仰とを兄弟等に賜はらん事を。
24 Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love.
願はくは我主イエズス、キリストを變らず愛し奉る凡ての人に恩寵あらん事を、アメン。
