< Acts 8 >

1 Saul was consenting to his death. A great persecution arose against the church which was in Jerusalem in that day. They were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except for the apostles.
Na bhalabho a shauli bhaapali ilikwaanonyela ga bhulagwa kwa a Shitepano. Lyene lyubhalyo bhandunji bha a Nnungu bha pa Yelushalemu gubhatandubhenje kupotekwa kwa kaje. Bhaakagula bhowe gubhapwilingenenje kwenda mwilambo ya ku Shamalia na ku Yudea, ikabhe ashimitume.

6 The crowds listened with one accord to the things that were spoken by Philip, when they heard and saw the signs which he did.
Bhandunji bhakaibhonanjeje ilapo ibhaitendaga a Pilipi, gubhapilikanishiyenje ntenga kwa ntima ndende.
7 For unclean spirits came out of many of those who had them. They came out, crying with a loud voice. Many who had been paralyzed and lame were healed.

9 But there was a certain man, Simon by name, who used to practice sorcery in the city, and amazed the people of Samaria, making himself out to be some great one,

Bhandunji bhowe, bhana na bhakungulungwanji gubhaapilikanishiyenje ukoto, gubhashitenje, “A Shimonibha bhashikola mashili ga a Nnungu gashemwaga, ‘Mashili Makulu.’”
11 They listened to him, because for a long time he had amazed them with his sorceries.
Gubhaakulupalilenje kwa kaje, pabha kwa mobha gamagwinji bhatendaga tenda ilapo kwa uabhi gwabho.
12 But when they believed Philip as he preached good news concerning the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
Ikabheje bhakakulupalilanjeje ntenga gwa a Pilipi gwa Ngani ja Mmbone ja Ukulungwa gwa a Nnungu na lina lya a Yeshu Kilishitu, gubhabhatishwenje, bhanabhakongwe na bhanabhalume.
13 Simon himself also believed. Being baptized, he continued with Philip. Seeing signs and great miracles occurring, he was amazed.
Nkali a Shimoni gubhakulupalile, bhakabhatishweje gubhatendile shilongani na a Pilipi, gubhakanganigwe ga ilapo yaatendekaga.
14 Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them,
Mitume bhalinginji ku Yelushalemu bhakapilikananjeje kuti Bhashamalia na bhalabhonji bhaliposhelenje lilobhe lya a Nnungu, gubhaatumilenje kweneko a Petili na a Yowana.
15 who, when they had come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit;
Bhakaikanganjeje gubhaajujilenje a Nnungu nkupinga bhaakulupalila bhamposhelanje Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo,
16 for he had not yet fallen upon any of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
pabha gene mobhago Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo paaliji akanabhe kuntulushila mundu jojowe munkumbi gwabhonji, ikabheje bhashinkubhatishwangape kwa lina lya Bhakulungwa a Yeshu.

18 Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money,

“Mmbanganje na nne gene mashiligo, nkupinga nimmishilaga mundu makono, amposhele Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo.”
20 But Peter said to him, "May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money.
Ikabheje a Petili gubhaajangwile, “Nkaobhele ako na ela yenuyo, punkuganishaya mashili ga a Nnungu gaumwa na ela!
21 You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.
Mmwe mwangali shakamula kwa ali liengoli, pabha ntima gwenu gwangali gwa mmbone kwa a Nnungu.
22 Repent therefore of this, your wickedness, and ask the Lord if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.
Kwa nneyo mwiipete yangali ya mmbone yenui na mwaajuje Bhakulungwa ipingaga, bhalabho shibhanneshelele ng'aniyo yenuyo.
23 For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bondage of iniquity."
Pabha ngunakummona lushikungumbala lupimilo lwa kaje na punnipa mmabhanda bha ilebho.”
24 Simon answered, "Pray for me to the Lord, that none of the things which you have spoken happen to me."
A Shimoni gubhajangwile, “Shonde, nnyujilanje ku Bhakulungwa linambate lyolyowe lya gene gunnugwilenjego.”
25 They therefore, when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the Good News to many villages of the Samaritans.
A Petili na a Yowana bhakakong'ondelanjeje na lunguya ga Ngani ja Bhakulungwa, gubhabhujilenje ku Yelushalemu. Gwa mmabhuja gubhalunguyenje Ngani ja Mmbone mwijiji yaigwinji ya ku Shamalia.
26 But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, "Arise, and go toward the south to the way that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza. This is a desert."
Malaika jwa Bhakulungwa gwabhalugulile a Pilipi, “Mpanganishe nnjende mmbali ja kwibhanda kupitila mpanda gwa anga ukopoka ku Yelushalemu kwenda ku Gasha.”
27 And he arose and went. And look, there was a man from Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Kandake, the queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge over all her treasure. He had come to Jerusalem to worship,
Bhai a Pilipi gubhatandwibhe mwanja. Gubhammweni mundu jumo jwa ku Eshiopia, nkulungwa jwa shibhiko sha a Kandate malikia bha ku Eshiopia. Bhashinkwenda ku Yelushalemu kukwatindibhalila a Nnungu na penepo bhatendaga bhuja bhali bhakwelile mutuka ja kwakwatwa.

Bhali mmwanja bhatendaga kwishomela shitabhu sha a Ishaya ankulondola bha a Nnungu.
29 And the Spirit said to Philip, "Go and join up with that chariot."
Bhai, Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo gwabhabhalanjile a Pilipi, “Nnjende tome na mutuka jila nkalongane najo.”
30 And running near, Philip heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?"
A Pilipi gubhabhutushile tome na mutuka jila, gubhampilikene mundu jula alishoma shitabhu sha a Ishaya ankulondola bha a Nnungu. A Pilipi gubhaabhushiye, “Bhuli, nnikwimanya inkushomayo?”
31 He said, "How can I, unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
Bhandu bhala gubhajangwile, “Ngombole kwapi kwiimanya gwangali mundu jwa ndalashiya?” Penepo gubhaashemile a Pilipi bhakwele mmutuka mula bhatame nabho.
32 Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, "He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he does not open his mouth.
Na Majandiko ga Ukonjelo gubhashomaga pugaliji nnei, “Paliji mbuti ngondolo apelekwa kuingwa, eu mbuti mwana ngondolo atama ilili alimogwa mang'omba, jwangakopoya lilobhe lyakwe wala kashoko.
33 In his humiliation his justice was taken away. Who will declare his generation? For his life is taken from the earth."
Ashinkutokomaywa na bhonelwa. Jwakwa shakombole kutagulila ga lubheleko lwakwe, pabha gumi gwakwe ushishoywa pashilambolyo.”
34 The eunuch answered Philip, "Who is the prophet talking about? About himself, or about someone else?"
Bhaeshiopia bhala bhakwaalugulilaga a Pilipi, “Nnugulile, jwene nkulondola jwa a Nnunguju abheleketa ngani jikeni? Gene gabheleketaga gakwe nnyene eu gaka mundu juna?”
35 Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached to him Jesus.
Bhai, a Pilipi gubhatandwibhe na gene Majandiko ga Ukonjelogo, gubhaatalashiye Ngani ja Mmbone ja a Yeshu.
36 As they went on the way, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. What is keeping me from being baptized?"
Bhalinginji mmwanja, gubhaikenenje palitanda, mundu jula gwashite, “Apano gapali mashi, bhuli shipali shoshowe shang'ibhilila ngunabhatishwe?”
37 And he said to him, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
A Pilipi gubhashite, “Ibhaga nkulupalilaga kwa ntima gwenu gowe inatendeka kubhatishwa.” Nabhalabho gubhajangwile, “Elo ngunakulupalila kuti a Yeshu Kilishitu ni bhanabhabho a Nnungu.”
38 He commanded the chariot to stand still, and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.
Bhai gubhaamulishe mutuka jila jijime. Bhaeshiopia bhala na a Pilipi gubhapitengenenje mmashi mula, a Pilipi gubhaabhatishe.
39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him any more, for he went on his way rejoicing.
