1 Timothy 6
1 Let as many as are slaves under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the doctrine not be blasphemed.
ദൈവനാമവും ഉപദേശവും ദുഷിക്കപ്പെടാതിരിക്കുന്നതിന്, അടിമനുകത്തിൻകീഴിലുള്ളവരെല്ലാം തങ്ങളുടെ യജമാനന്മാർ പൂർണബഹുമതിക്ക് യോഗ്യരായി പരിഗണിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്.
2 Those who have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brothers, but rather let them serve them, because those who partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.
വിശ്വാസികളായ യജമാനർ ഉള്ളവർ “അവർ സഹോദരങ്ങളാണല്ലോ” എന്നുകരുതി അവരോട് അനാദരവു കാണിക്കരുത്. മറിച്ച്, തങ്ങളുടെ സേവനത്തിന്റെ പ്രയോജനം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നവർ കൂട്ടുവിശ്വാസികളും പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടവരും ആകുകയാൽ, അവരെ കൂടുതൽ മെച്ചമായി സേവിക്കുകയാണു വേണ്ടത്. ഈ കാര്യങ്ങൾ നീ ഉപദേശിക്കുകയും പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുക.
3 If anyone teaches a different doctrine, and does not consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,
ഇതിനു വ്യത്യസ്തമായ രീതിയിൽ ഉപദേശിക്കുകയും നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നിർമലവചനത്തോടും ദൈവഭക്തിക്കനുസൃതമായ ഉപദേശത്തോടും അനുകൂലിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നവർ
4 he is conceited, knowing nothing, but obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word battles, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions,
അഹന്ത നിറഞ്ഞവരും വിവേകരഹിതരുമാണ്. അവർ അസൂയ, ഭിന്നത, ദുർഭാഷണം, അഭ്യൂഹം, ദുർബുദ്ധി എന്നിവ നിറഞ്ഞ് സത്യത്യാഗികളായ മനുഷ്യർതമ്മിലുള്ള വാദകോലാഹലം ഉണ്ടാക്കും.
5 constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain.
ഇങ്ങനെ, അനാരോഗ്യകരമായ വിവാദങ്ങളും ചില വാക്കുകളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള തർക്കവിഷയങ്ങളും നിരന്തരം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്ന പ്രവണതയുള്ളവരാണ് ഇവർ. ദൈവഭക്തി ഒരു ആദായമാർഗമായി അവർ കരുതുന്നു.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
എന്നാൽ, സംതൃപ്തിയോടുകൂടിയ ദൈവഭക്തി വലിയ നേട്ടംതന്നെയാണ്.
7 For we brought nothing into the world, so neither can we carry anything out.
ഈ ലോകത്തിലേക്കു വന്നപ്പോൾ നാം ഒന്നും കൊണ്ടുവന്നിട്ടില്ല. ഇവിടെനിന്നു പോകുമ്പോൾ നമുക്ക് ഒന്നും കൊണ്ടുപോകാനും കഴിയുന്നതല്ല.
8 But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.
ഭക്ഷണവും വസ്ത്രവും ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അതുകൊണ്ടു നമുക്കു തൃപ്തരാകാം.
9 But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as plunge people into ruin and destruction.
ധനികരാകാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവർ പ്രലോഭനത്തിലും കെണിയിലും കുടുങ്ങി, മനുഷ്യരെ തകർച്ചയിലും നാശത്തിലും മുക്കിക്കളയുന്ന ബുദ്ധിഹീനവും ഉപദ്രവകരവുമായ അനവധി മോഹങ്ങളിൽ വീണുപോകുന്നു.
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
ദ്രവ്യാഗ്രഹം സകലവിധ ദോഷങ്ങളുടെയും ഉറവിടമാണ്. ധനമോഹത്താൽ ചിലർ വിശ്വാസത്തിൽനിന്ന് വ്യതിചലിച്ച്, പലവിധ വേദനകൾക്ക് തങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ അധീനരാക്കുകയുംചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
11 But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.
എന്നാൽ ദൈവപുരുഷാ, നീയോ ഇവയിൽനിന്നെല്ലാം ഓടിയകലുക. നീതി, ഭക്തി, വിശ്വാസം, സ്നേഹം, സഹിഷ്ണുത, സൗമ്യത എന്നിവയെ അനുഗമിക്കുക.
12 Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of the everlasting life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ നല്ല യുദ്ധംചെയ്യുക. നിത്യജീവനെ മുറുകെപ്പിടിക്കുക; അതിനായി നീ വിളിക്കപ്പെടുകയും അനേകസാക്ഷികളുടെമുമ്പിൽ ആ കാര്യം ഏറ്റുപറയുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ. (aiōnios g166)
13 I command you before God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate testified the good confession,
സകലത്തിനും ജീവൻ നൽകുന്ന ദൈവത്തെയും പൊന്തിയോസ് പീലാത്തോസിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഉത്തമവിശ്വാസപ്രഖ്യാപനം നടത്തിയ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിനെയും സാക്ഷിയാക്കി ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നത്:
14 that you keep the commandment without spot, blameless, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ;
നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പുനരാഗമനംവരെ നീ ഈ കൽപ്പനകൾ നിഷ്കളങ്കമായും നിരാക്ഷേപമായും പാലിച്ചുകൊള്ളണം എന്നാണ്.
15 which in its own times he will show, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ രാജാവും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ പ്രഭുവും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ട ഏകാധിപതിയുമായ ദൈവം ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ യഥാകാലം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തും.
16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; whom no human has seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and eternal power. Amen. (aiōnios g166)

17 Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; (aiōn g165)
ഈ ലോകത്തിലെ ധനികരോട്, ധാർഷ്ട്യം പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കാതെയും അസ്ഥിരമായ ലൗകികസമ്പത്തിൽ തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രത്യാശവെക്കാതെയും നമ്മുടെ ആസ്വാദനത്തിന് ഉതകുന്നതെല്ലാം സമൃദ്ധമായി പ്രദാനംചെയ്യുന്ന ദൈവത്തിൽത്തന്നെ പ്രത്യാശ അർപ്പിക്കണമെന്ന് നീ ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുക. (aiōn g165)
18 that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
അവരോട് നന്മ ചെയ്യാനും സുകൃതങ്ങളിൽ സമ്പന്നരാകാനും തങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളത് ഔദാര്യത്തോടെ പങ്കുവെക്കാൻ സന്നദ്ധത കാണിക്കാനും ഉദ്ബോധിപ്പിക്കുക.
19 laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of that which is truly life.
ഇപ്രകാരം, ഭാവികാലത്തിൽ യഥാർഥജീവനാകുന്ന ജീവൻ മുറുകെപ്പിടിക്കുന്നതിനുവേണ്ടി തങ്ങളുടെ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾകൊണ്ട് ഭദ്രമായ ഒരു അടിസ്ഥാനം പണിയട്ടെ.
20 Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of the knowledge which is falsely so called;
തിമോത്തിയോസേ, നിന്നെ ഭരമേൽപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത് നീ പരിരക്ഷിക്കുക. ദൈവഭക്തിക്ക് അനുസൃതമല്ലാത്ത വ്യർഥഭാഷണത്തിൽനിന്നും വിജ്ഞാനം എന്നു ദ്യോതിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ആശയവൈരുധ്യങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും ഒഴിഞ്ഞു നിൽക്കുക.
21 which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with you.
ചിലർ ഇത് അനുകരിച്ചതിനാൽ വിശ്വാസത്തിൽനിന്നു വ്യതിചലിക്കാൻ കാരണമായിത്തീർന്നു. കൃപ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.
