< Romans 13 >

1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
Mihing khatsim in a thunei te thumang tahen. Banghangziam cile Pathian i thuneina simngawl a dang om ngawl hi: tua thuneina sia Pathian i piak a hihi.
2 Therefore he who resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will incur judgment.
Tua ahikom thuneina a do peuma sia Pathian i teal te a do a hihi: taciang tua a do te in amate le amate ki puavawkna thengsak tu hi.
3 For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same,
Banghangziam cile ngam ukte sia nasep pha a seam te atu in lauhuai ngawl hi. Ahihang na pha ngawl a seam te atu in lauhuai hi. Tabang hile thuneina lau ngawl in na om nuam ziam? a pha vawt in a, hong uk te in hong pok tu hi:
4 for it is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for it does not bear the sword in vain. It is God's servant to administer retribution on those who do what is wrong.
Banghangziam cile ama sia nangma phat natu in Pathian i naseam te a hihi. Ahihang na pha ngawl na vawt le, lau in; banghangziam cile ama in namsau sia manna om ngawl in toai ngawl hi: banghangziam cile ama in Pathian i naseam hi a, na pha ngawl a vawt te tung ah Pathian thin-ukna phula tu hi.
5 Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of this retribution, but also as a matter of conscience.
Tua ahikom Pathian thin-ukna atu bek hi ngawl in, a sia le a pha heakna atu in zong amate thu na ngai uh kul hi.
6 For this reason you also pay taxes, for they are servants of God, concerned with this very thing.
Tua ahikom hi thu hang in shia zong na pia uh hi: banghangziam cile amate sia pathian i naseam te hi a, hibang nate tung ah a tawntung in naseam uh hi.
7 Give therefore to everyone what you owe: taxes to whom taxes are due; customs to whom customs; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.
Tua ahikom na piak tu uh te theampo pia tavun: neisa tungtawn piak kul te le sum le pai tungtawn piak kul te pia tavun; zatak tu te zakta tavun; upat kul te upat tavun.
8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
Khat le khat ki it tu simngawl, kuama tung ah leiba heak vun: banghangziam cile ngualdang a it peuma in thukham a khuangkhim a hihi.
9 For the commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not give false testimony," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You are to love your neighbor as yourself."
Banghangziam cile, palngul mawna vawt heak in, tual that heak in, nguta heak in, a man ngawl tettipang heak in, ngual neisa eang heak in; taciang a dang thupiak a om tazong, nangma le nangma na ki it bang in na innpam te it in, a ci sia sung ah huam siat zo hi.
10 Love does not harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.
Itna in a innpam tung ah a pha ngawl vawt ngawl hi: tua ahikom itna sia thukham kicinna a hihi.
11 Do this, knowing the time, that it is already time for you to awaken out of sleep, for salvation is now nearer to us than when we first believed.
Taciang, tu in mut na pan in khanlaw hun zo hi, ci i he hi: banghangziam cile i up kipat tung lai sang in i ngupna ni sia tu in hong nai zaw zo hi.
12 The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let us therefore throw off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
Zan hun bo dek zo a, sun hun hong theng dektak zo hi: tua ahikom khuazing nasep te nusia in, khuavak ngalhiam sil tawng.
13 Let us walk decently, as in the daytime; not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and lustful acts, and not in dissension and jealousy.
Poai vawt na le zukham na, paktatna le cilesa nopsak na, ki nialna le hazatna te vawt ngawl in, sun hun sung bang in thumantak in nungta tek tawng.
14 But put on the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.
Ahihang Topa Jesus Christ sil vun, taciang cilesa deina te khuangkhim tu in ngaisun khol heak vun.
