Revelation 9
1 The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from the sky which had fallen to the earth. The key to the pit of the abyss was given to him. (Abyssos g12)
Az ötödik angyal is trombitált, és láttam, hogy egy csillag esett le az égről a földre, és neki adatott a mélység kútjának kulcsa. (Abyssos g12)
2 He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out of the shaft, like the smoke from a great furnace. The sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke from the pit. (Abyssos g12)
Megnyitotta azért a mélységnek kútját és füst jött föl a kútból, mint egy nagy kemencének füstje, és elhomályosodott a nap és a levegő a kút füstjétől. (Abyssos g12)
3 Then out of the smoke came forth locusts on the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
A füstből pedig sáskák jöttek ki a földre és olyan hatalom adatott nekik, amilyen hatalmuk van a skorpióknak a földön.
4 They were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those people who do not have God's seal on their foreheads.
És megmondatott nekik, hogy a földnek füvét ne bántsák, se semmi zöldellőt, se élőfát, hanem csak azokat az embereket, akiknek homlokán nincs az Isten pecsétje.
5 They were given power not to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion, when it strikes a person.
És megadatott nekik, hogy ne öljék meg őket, hanem kínozzák őket öt hónapig. Kínzásuk olyan legyen, mint a skorpió kínzása, amikor megmarja az embert.
6 In those days people will seek death, and will in no way find it. They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.
Azokban a napokban keresik az emberek a halált, de nem találják és kívánnának meghalni, de a halál menekül előlük.
7 The shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for war. On their heads were something like golden crowns, and their faces were like people's faces.
A sáskák formája pedig hasonló volt a harcra felkészített lovakhoz, és a fejükön aranyhoz hasonló korona volt, és arcuk olyan volt, mint az emberek arca.
8 They had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like those of lions.
A hajuk olyan volt, mint az asszonyok haja, és fogaik olyanok voltak, mint az oroszláné,
9 They had breastplates, like breastplates of iron. The sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, or of many horses rushing to war.
és olyan mellvértjük volt, mint a vasmellvértek, és szárnyaik zúgása olyan volt, mint a viadalra száguldó sok lovas szekér dübörgése.
10 They have tails like those of scorpions, and stings. In their tails is their power to harm people for five months.
Skorpiókhoz hasonló farkuk és fullánkjuk volt, és a farkukban volt hatalmuk, hogy ártsanak az embereknek öt hónapig.
11 They have over them as king the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is "Abaddon," and in Greek, he has the name "Apollyon." (Abyssos g12)
Királyuk a mélység angyala volt, annak neve zsidóul Abaddón, görögül pedig Apollüón, azaz Pusztító. (Abyssos g12)
12 The first woe is past. Look, there are still two woes coming after this.
Az első jaj elmúlt, s íme, ezután még két jaj következik.
13 The sixth angel sounded. I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
A hatodik angyal is trombitált, és az arany oltár négy szarva felől, amely Isten előtt van, egy szózatot hallottam,
14 saying to the sixth angel who had one trumpet, "Free the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates."
amely ezt mondta a hatodik angyalnak: „Oldd el azt a négy angyalt, akik a nagy folyóvíznél, az Eufrátesznél vannak megkötve“.
15 The four angels were freed who had been prepared for this hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill one third of humanity.
Erre eloldozták a négy angyalt, akik készen voltak órára, napra, hónapra és esztendőre, hogy megöljék az emberek harmadrészét.
16 The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million. I heard the number of them.
A lovasseregek száma húszezerszer tízezer volt, hallottam a számukat.
17 Thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of lions. Out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke, and sulfur.
Látomásban így láttam a lovakat és a rajtuk ülőket, akiknek tűzvörös, jácinték és kénsárga mellvértjük volt, és a lovak feje olyan volt, mint az oroszlánok feje és szájukból tűz, füst és kénkő jött ki.
18 By these three plagues were one third of humanity killed: from the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur, which proceeded out of their mouths.
Ez a három csapás ölte meg az emberek harmadrészét: a tűz, a füst, a kénkő, amely szájukból jött ki.
19 For the power of the horses is in their mouths, and in their tails. For their tails are like serpents, and have heads, and with them they harm.
Mert hatalmuk a szájukban és farkukban van. Farkuk a kígyóhoz hasonló, fej van rajta, és azzal ártanak.
20 The rest of humanity, who were not killed with these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they would not worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of bronze, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk.
Az emberek közül a többiek, akiket nem öltek meg ezek a csapások, mégsem tértek meg kezük alkotásaitól, hanem tovább imádták a gonosz lényeket, és az arany és ezüst és érc és kő és fa bálványokat, amelyek sem látni, sem hallani, sem járni nem tudnak.
21 They did not repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.
És nem tértek meg sem gyilkosságaikból, sem varázslásaikból, sem paráználkodásaikból, sem lopásaikból.
