< Revelation 9 >
1 The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from the sky which had fallen to the earth. The key to the pit of the abyss was given to him. (Abyssos )
(Abyssos )
2 He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out of the shaft, like the smoke from a great furnace. The sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke from the pit. (Abyssos )
Esi wòʋu nu le ʋe globo la nu la, dzudzɔ do tso eme abe abolokpo gã aɖe mee dzudzɔ le dodom le ene. Dzudzɔ gã la na be ɣe kple dziŋgɔli do viviti. (Abyssos )
3 Then out of the smoke came forth locusts on the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
Ʋetsuviwo ƒe ha gã aɖe do go tso dzudzɔ la me va anyigba dzi, eye wòna ŋusẽ wo be woawɔ nu abe ahɔ̃ siwo le anyigba dzi la ene.
4 They were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those people who do not have God's seal on their foreheads.
5 They were given power not to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion, when it strikes a person.
Womena ŋusẽ wo be woawu wo o, ke boŋ be woawɔ funyafunya wo dzinu atɔ̃. Ale fukpekpe si me woto la nɔ abe ale si ame si ahɔ̃ te la sea vevee ene.
6 In those days people will seek death, and will in no way find it. They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.
Ku adzro wo vevie, gake ku asi abu ɖe wo.
7 The shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for war. On their heads were something like golden crowns, and their faces were like people's faces.
8 They had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like those of lions.
Woƒe ɖa le abe nyɔnuwo ƒe ɖa ene, eye woƒe aɖuwo le abe dzatawo tɔ ene.
9 They had breastplates, like breastplates of iron. The sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, or of many horses rushing to war.
Wodo akɔtakpoxɔnu siwo le abe gayibɔkɔtakpoxɔnuwo ene, eye woƒe aʋalawo ƒe hoowɔwɔ le abe sɔwo kple tasiaɖamwo ƒe hoowɔwɔ ne wolũ ɖe aʋa me la ene.
10 They have tails like those of scorpions, and stings. In their tails is their power to harm people for five months.
Asiketiwo kple tiwo le wo si abe ahɔ̃wo tɔ ene, eye ŋusẽ le woƒe asiketiwo me be woawɔ funyafunya amewo hena ɣleti atɔ̃.
11 They have over them as king the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is "Abaddon," and in Greek, he has the name "Apollyon." (Abyssos )
(Abyssos )
12 The first woe is past. Look, there are still two woes coming after this.
Vɔ̃ gbãtɔ nu va yi, eye vɔ̃ eve bubuwo le mɔ dzi gbɔna.
13 The sixth angel sounded. I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
14 saying to the sixth angel who had one trumpet, "Free the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates."
Gbe la gblɔ na mawudɔla adelia si lé kpẽ la ɖe asi la be, “Ɖe ga mawudɔla ene siwo wobla da ɖe Frat tɔsisi gã la to la.”
15 The four angels were freed who had been prepared for this hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill one third of humanity.
Ale woɖe ga mawudɔla ene siwo wodzra ɖo ɖi na gaƒoƒo vevi, ŋkeke vevi, dzinu vevi kple ƒe vevi sia be woayi aɖawu amegbetɔƒomea ƒe mama etɔ̃ ƒe ɖeka.
16 The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million. I heard the number of them.
Asrafo siwo do sɔ la ƒe xexlẽme anɔ miliɔn alafa eve. Nye ŋutɔ mekpɔ woƒe xexlẽme.
17 Thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of lions. Out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke, and sulfur.
Sɔ kple sɔdola siwo mekpɔ le nye ŋutega me la ƒe dzedzeme nɔ ale: Woƒe akɔtakpoxɔnu biã hẽe abe dzo ene; ɖewo nye blɔ, eye ɖewo hã ɖi aŋuti ɖiɖi abe sulfakpe ene. Sɔawo ƒe tawo ɖi dzatawo ƒe ta, eye dzudzɔ kple sulfakpe do tso woƒe nuwo me.
18 By these three plagues were one third of humanity killed: from the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur, which proceeded out of their mouths.
Dzo, dzudzɔ kple sulfakpe si do go tso sɔawo ƒe nu me la wu amegbetɔƒomea ƒe mama etɔ̃ ƒe ɖeka.
19 For the power of the horses is in their mouths, and in their tails. For their tails are like serpents, and have heads, and with them they harm.
Sɔawo ƒe ŋusẽ le woƒe nuwo kple asiketiwo me, elabena woƒe asiketiwo le abe dawo ene, eye ta li na asiketiawo, esiwo wotsɔna dea abi amewo ŋui.
20 The rest of humanity, who were not killed with these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they would not worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of bronze, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk.
Amegbetɔƒomea si susɔ, ame siwo dɔvɔ̃ siawo mewu o la gbe tɔtrɔ le woƒe asiwo ƒe nu tovowo wɔwɔ me. Wogbe be yewomaɖe asi le gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo subɔsubɔ, sika, klosalo, akɔbli, kpe kple ati legba siwo metea ŋu kpɔa nu, sea nu loo alo zɔna o la subɔsubɔ ŋuti o.
21 They did not repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.
Nenema ke wometrɔ le woƒe amewuwu, afakaka, ahasiwɔwɔ alo fififi yome o.
