< Psalms 83 >

1 [A song. A Psalm by Asaph.] God, do not be silent. Do not be deaf, and do not be inactive, God.
Rwiyo. Pisarema raAsafi. Haiwa Mwari, regai kunyarara; musanyarara, imi Mwari, musati mwiro.
2 For, look, your enemies make an uproar. Those who hate you are hostile.
Tarirai kumutswa kwaitwa vavengi venyu, namasimudziro avaita misoro yavo.
3 They devise crafty plans against your people, and conspire together against your treasured ones.
Vakarangana nounyengeri pamusoro pavanhu venyu; vanorangana pamusoro paavo vamunochengeta zvakanaka.
4 They say, "Come, and let us annihilate them as a nation; let the name of Israel may be remembered no more."
Ivo vanoti, “Uyai, ngativaparadzei sorudzi, kuti zita raIsraeri rirove.”
5 For they plot a unified strategy; they make a covenant against you;
Vanorangana pamwe chete nomwoyo mumwe chete; vanoita sungano yokuzorwa nemi,
6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab, and the Hagrites,
matende eEdhomu nevaIshumaeri, neMoabhu navaHagari,
7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre.
Gebha, Amoni neAmareki, Firistia, navanhu veTire.
8 Assyria too is joined with them; they lend support to the descendants of Lot. (Selah)
Kunyange neAsiria yabatana navo kuti vasimbise zvizvarwa zvaRoti. Sera
9 Do to them as you did to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin at the Kishon River,
Muvaitire sezvamakaitira vaMidhia, sezvamakaita kuna Sisera naJabhini paRwizi Kishoni,
10 who were destroyed at Endor, who became manure for the ground.
ivo vakafira paEndori uye vakava sendove pamusoro pevhu.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
Muite makurukota avo saOrebhu naZibhi, machinda avo ose saZebha naZarumuna,
12 who said, "Let us take possession for ourselves the pastures of God."
ivo vakati, “Handei tindotora mafuro aMwari.”
13 My God, make them like tumbleweed; like dead weeds blown by the wind.
Haiwa Mwari wangu, vaitei sendira, sehundi inodzingwa nemhepo.
14 Like a fire that consumes a forest, and like the flames that consume the mountains,
Somoto unopisa sango kana moto unoririma mugomo,
15 so pursue them with your gale winds, and terrify them with your storm.
saka vateverei nedutu renyu mugovavhundutsa nokutinhira wenyu.
16 Cover their faces with shame, so that they might seek your name, LORD.
Fukidzai zviso zvavo nenyadzi kuti vanhu vagotsvaka zita renyu, imi Jehovha.
17 Let them be put to shame and terrified forever; let them perish in disgrace,
Ngavarambe vachinyadziswa uye vavhundutswe; ngavafire munyadzi dzavo.
18 that they will know that you alone, whose name is the LORD, are the Most High over all the earth.
Ngavazive kuti imi, mune zita rinonzi Jehovha, ndimi moga Wokumusoro-soro ari pamusoro penyika yose.
