< Psalms 8 >
1 [For the Chief Musician; on an instrument of Gath. A Psalm by David.] LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth. You have put your glory upon the heavens.
Kumutungamiri wokuimba negititi. Pisarema raDhavhidhi. Haiwa Jehovha, Ishe wedu, zita renyu rakaisvonaka sei panyika yose! Makaisa kubwinya kwenyu kudenga kumusoro.
2 From the lips of children and infants you have established praise, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.
Pamiromo yavana navacheche makaisa rumbidzo nokuda kwavavengi venyu, kuti munyaradze muvengi nomutsivi.
3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained;
Kana ndichifunga nezvamatenga enyu, iro basa reminwe yenyu, mwedzi nenyeredzi, zvamakarongedza panzvimbo yazvo,
4 what is man, that you think of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
munhu chiiko zvamunomufunga, kana mwanakomana womunhu zvamune hanya naye?
5 For you have made him a little lower than the angels. You have crowned him with glory and honor,
Makamuita muduku zvishoma pana Mwari, uye mukamushongedza korona yokubwinya nokukudzwa.
6 and you made him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:
Makamuita mutongi pamusoro pebasa ramaoko enyu; mukaisa zvinhu zvose pasi petsoka dzake:
7 all sheep and cattle, and also the wild animals,
makwai ose nemombe, nemhuka dzesango,
8 the birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
neshiri dzedenga, nehove dzegungwa, zvose zvinofamba munzira dzomugungwa.
9 LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.
Haiwa Jehovha, Ishe wedu, zita renyu rakaisvonaka sei panyika yose!
