< Psalms 40 >
1 [For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] I waited patiently for the LORD, and he turned to me, and heard my cry.
Nitamàko am-pahaliñisañe t’Iehovà, le nitokilaña’e, vaho jinanji’e ty fitoreoko.
2 He also brought me up out of a pit of tumult, out of the miry clay; and he set my feet on a rock, making my steps secure.
Naaka’e an-koboñe namparikoriko, naho boak’ an-dietse nipaletroke, vaho nampitongoà’e ambone lamilamy eo o tombokoo; le nalaha’e o liakoo.
3 And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God. Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
Napo’e am-bavako ao ty sabo vao, fijejoañe aman’Añaharen-tikañe; maro ty hahaoniñe le hañeveñe, vaho hitsolok’ am’ Iehovà.
4 Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, and doesn't respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Haha ty manao Iehovà ho fiatoa’e, naho tsy mitolike mb’amo mpirengevokeo, vaho tsy mitsile mb’an-dremborake.
5 Many, LORD, my God, are the wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are toward us. They can't be declared back to you. If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
Maro, ry Iehovà Andrianañahareko, o fitoloña’o fanjàkao, naho ty fivetsevetse’o anay, tsy eo ty mañirinkiriñe Azo! Naho nitaroñeko naho nilañoneko, mbe mandikoatse ze mete ho talilieñe.
6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me. Whole burnt offering and sin offering you did not require.
Tsy mahafale Azo o soroñeo naho o enga-mahakamao; sinoka’o o sofikoo; tsy nipaia’o ty engan-kolorañe ndra ty engan-kakeo.
7 Then I said, "Look, I have come. It is written about me in the scroll of a book;
Le hoe raho: Intoy iraho, homb’eo, fa nisokireñe am-boke-pelek’ ao;
8 to do your will, O God, I desired. And your Law is within my heart."
Noko, ry Andrianañahareko, ty mitoloñe amo satrin’arofo’oo; eka, an-troko ato o Tsara’oo.
9 I have proclaimed glad news of righteousness in the great assembly. Look, I will not seal my lips, LORD, you know.
Fa nitaroneko am-pivori-bey ao ty talily soan-kavantañañe; tsy ho sebañeko o soñikoo, ry Iehovà, Ihe ro maharofoanañe.
10 I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart. I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation. I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great assembly.
Tsy naetako an-troko ao ty havantaña’o; fa nitaroñeko ty figahiña’o naho ty fandrombaha’o; vaho tsy nakafiko amy fivori-beiy ty fiferenaiña’o naho ty hatò’o.
11 Do not withhold your tender mercies from me, LORD. Let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.
Ry Iehovà ko hazoñeñ’ amako ty fitretreza’o; añaro ahy nainai’e ty fiferenaiña’o naho ty hatò’o.
12 For innumerable evils have surrounded me. My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up. They are more than the hairs of my head. My heart has failed me.
Miarikoboñe ahy ty haratiañe tsifotofoto; miambotrak’ amako o hakeokoo, le tsy mahafiandra, ie maro te amo volon-dohakoo, vaho milesa ty troko.
13 Be pleased, LORD, to deliver me. Hurry to help me, LORD.
Ho no’o abey ry Iehovà ty hamotsotse ahy; malisà ry Iehovà hañolotse ahy,
14 Let them be put to shame and confounded together who seek after my soul to destroy it. Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor who delight in my hurt.
Le aharò salareñe naho meñareñe o mipay ty fiaiko hasintake; ampiamboho vaho injeo o te hijoy ahio.
15 Let them be desolate by reason of their shame that tell me, "Aha. Aha."
Ehe ampidabao an-kenatse ze manao amako ty hoe: Hiy! Hiy!
16 Let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. Let such as love your salvation say continually, "Let the LORD be exalted."
Hirebeke naho hifale ze mipay Azo, vaho hitolon-kanao ty hoe o mpitea i fandrombaha’oio: Onjoneñe t’Iehovà. 17 Aa kanao rarake naho misotry iraho, ee t’ie ho vetsevetse’ i Talè; Ihe ro mpañimba naho mpañaha ahy, ry Andrianañahareko; ko mihenekeneke.
17 But I am poor and needy. May the LORD think about me. You are my help and my deliverer. Do not delay, my God.
