Psalms 116

1 I love the LORD, because he listens to my voice, and my cries for mercy.

நான் யெகோவாவிடம் அன்பாயிருக்கிறேன், ஏனெனில் அவர் என் குரலைக் கேட்டார்; இரக்கத்திற்காக நான் கதறியதை அவர் கேட்டார்.

2 Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.

அவர் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தபடியால், நான் என் வாழ்நாளெல்லாம் அவரை வழிபடுவேன்.

3 The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)

மரணக் கயிறுகள் என்னைச் சிக்கவைத்தன; பாதாளத்தின் வேதனைகள் என்மீது வந்தன; கஷ்டமும் கவலையும் என்னை மேற்கொண்டன. (Sheol h7585)

4 Then I called on the name of the LORD: "LORD, I beg you, deliver my soul."

அப்பொழுது நான் யெகோவாவின் பெயரைச்சொல்லிக் கூப்பிட்டுச் சொன்னதாவது: “யெகோவாவே, என்னைக் காப்பாற்றும்!”

5 The LORD is Gracious and righteous. Yes, our God is merciful.

யெகோவா கிருபையும் நீதியுமுள்ளவர்; நம்முடைய இறைவன் கருணை நிறைந்தவர்.

6 The LORD preserves the simple. I was brought low, and he saved me.

யெகோவா கற்றுக்கொள்ளவிருக்கும் இருதயமுள்ளவர்களைப் பாதுகாக்கிறார்; நான் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டபோது, அவர் என்னை இரட்சித்தார்.

7 Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.

என் ஆத்துமாவே, மீண்டும் நீ இளைப்பாறு; யெகோவா உனக்கு எவ்வளவு நல்லவராய் இருக்கிறார்.

8 For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

யெகோவாவே, நீர் என் ஆத்துமாவை மரணத்திலிருந்து விடுவித்தீர்; என் கண்களைக் கண்ணீர் சிந்துவதிலிருந்தும், என் கால்களை இடறுவதிலிருந்தும் விடுவித்தீர்.

9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

நான் உயிருள்ளோரின் நாட்டிலே யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக நடப்பேன்.

10 I believed, therefore I said, "I am greatly afflicted."

“நான் மிகவும் துன்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன்” என்று நான் சொன்னபோதிலும், நான் விசுவாசித்தேன், ஆகையால் பேசுகிறேன்.

11 I said in my haste, "All men are liars."

ஆனாலும் என் மனச்சோர்வினாலே, “எல்லா மனிதரும் பொய்யர்” என்று நான் சொன்னேன்.

12 What will I give to the LORD for all his benefits toward me?

யெகோவா எனக்குச் செய்த எல்லா நன்மைகளுக்கும் பதிலாக, நான் அவருக்கு எதைத்தான் கொடுப்பேன்?

13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of the LORD.

நான் இரட்சிப்பின் பாத்திரத்தை உயர்த்திக்கொண்டு யெகோவாவினுடைய பெயரைச் சொல்லி வழிபடுவேன்.

14 I will pay my vows to the LORD, yes, in the presence of all his people.

நான் யெகோவாவுக்குச் செய்த நேர்த்திக் கடன்களை அவருடைய மக்கள் எல்லாருக்கும் முன்பாக நிறைவேற்றுவேன்.

15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful ones.

யெகோவாவினுடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களின் மரணம் அவருடைய பார்வையில் விலையேறப்பெற்றது.

16 LORD, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your handmaid. You have freed me from my chains.

யெகோவாவே, உண்மையாகவே நான் உமது பணியாளனாய் இருக்கிறேன்; நான் உமது அடியாளின் மகனும், உமது ஊழியக்காரனுமாய் இருக்கிறேன்; என்னைக் கட்டியிருந்த சங்கிலியிலிருந்து நீர் என்னை விடுதலையாக்கினீர்.

17 I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call on the name of the LORD.

நான் உமக்கு ஒரு நன்றிக் காணிக்கையைப் பலியிட்டு, யெகோவாவினுடைய பெயரைச் சொல்லி வழிபடுவேன்.

18 I will pay my vows to the LORD, yes, in the presence of all his people,

நான் யெகோவாவுக்குச் செய்த நேர்த்திக்கடனை, அவருடைய மக்கள் எல்லோருக்கும் சமுகத்தில் நிறைவேற்றுவேன்.

19 in the courts of the LORD's house, in the midst of you, Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.

எருசலேமே உன் நடுவில் யெகோவாவினுடைய ஆலய முற்றங்களில், நான் எனது நேர்த்திக்கடனை நிறைவேற்றுவேன். அல்லேலூயா.
