Psalms 109
1 [For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] God of my praise, do not remain silent,
૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે. દાઉદનું ગીત. હે મારા સ્તુતિના ઈશ્વર, તમે શાંત ન રહો.
2 for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.
૨કારણ કે દુષ્ટ અને કપટી માણસો મારા પર હુમલાઓ કરે છે; તેઓ મારી વિરુદ્ધ જૂઠું બોલે છે.
3 They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
૩તેઓએ મને તિરસ્કૃત શબ્દોથી ઘેરી લીધો છે અને કોઈ કારણ વગર મારી સાથે લડાઈ કરવા હુમલો કરે છે.
4 In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer.
૪તેઓ મારી પ્રીતિના બદલામાં મારા શત્રુ થયા છે, પણ હું તેઓને માટે પ્રાર્થના જ કરું છું.
5 They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
૫તેઓ ઉપકારને બદલે અપકાર કરે છે અને તેઓ મારા પ્રેમને ધિક્કારે છે.
6 Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand.
૬મારા શત્રુનો સામનો કરવા માટે એક દુષ્ટ માણસને નિયુક્ત કરો; તેને જમણે હાથે કોઈ અપ્રામાણિકને ઊભો રાખો.
7 When he is judged, let him come forth guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin.
૭જ્યારે તે ન્યાય કરે, ત્યારે તે અપરાધી ઠરો; તેની પ્રાર્થના પાપરૂપ ગણાઓ.
8 Let his days be few. Let another take his office.
૮તેના દિવસો થોડા થાઓ; તેનું સ્થાન બીજા કોઈ લઈ લો.
9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
૯તેના સંતાનો અનાથ અને તેની પત્ની વિધવા થાઓ.
10 Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins.
૧૦તેના સંતાનો રખડીને ભીખ માગો, ઉજ્જડ થયેલાં પોતાના ઘરોમાંથી તેઓને નસાડી મૂકવામાં આવે.
11 Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.
૧૧તેનો લેણદાર જોરજુલમથી તેનું બધું લઈ જાઓ; તેની મહેનતનું ફળ અજાણ્યા લૂંટી જાઓ.
12 Let there be none to extend kindness to him, neither let there be any to have pity on his fatherless children.
૧૨તેના પર દયા રાખનાર કોઈ ન રહો; તેનાં અનાથ બાળકો પર કોઈ કૃપા રાખનાર ન રહો.
13 Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.
૧૩તેના વંશજોનો ઉચ્છેદ થાઓ; આવતી પેઢીમાંથી તેનું નામ સંપૂર્ણપણે ભૂંસાઈ જાઓ.
14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by the LORD. Do not let the sin of his mother be blotted out.
૧૪તેના પિતૃઓનાં પાપ યહોવાહને યાદ રહો; અને તેની માતાનું પાપ માફ કરવામાં ન આવો.
15 Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth;
૧૫તેનાં પાપો નિત્ય યહોવાહની નજરમાં રહો; યહોવાહ તેનું નામ પૃથ્વી પરથી ઉખેડી નાખે.
16 because he did not remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them.
૧૬કારણ કે તેણે બીજાઓ પ્રત્યે દયા કરવાનું ચાહ્યું નહિ, પણ નિરુત્સાહીની હત્યા કરવા માટે અને ગરીબ તથા જરૂરતમંદને સતાવ્યા.
17 Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He did not delight in blessing, and it was far from him.
૧૭બીજાઓને શાપ આપવામાં તે ખુશ હતો; માટે એ શાપ તેને લાગો. તે આશીર્વાદને ધિક્કારતો; તેથી તેના પર કોઈ આશીર્વાદ ન આવો.
18 He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones.
૧૮તેણે વસ્ત્રની જેમ પોતાના શરીર પર શાપ ધારણ કર્યો હતો અને તેનો શાપ પાણીની માફક તેના અંતઃકરણમાં તેના હાડકામાં તેલની જેમ પ્રસરી જતો હતો.
19 Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.
૧૯પહેરવાનાં વસ્ત્રની જેમ તે તેને આચ્છાદિત કરનાર થાઓ કમરબંધની જેમ તે સદા વીંટળાઈ રહો.
20 This is the reward of my adversaries from the LORD, of those who speak evil against my soul.
૨૦જેઓ મારા શત્રુ છે અને જેઓ મારા આત્માની વિરુદ્ધ બોલનાર છે, તેઓને યહોવાહ તરફથી આવો બદલો મળો.
21 But deal with me, the LORD the Lord, for your name's sake, because your loving kindness is good, deliver me;
૨૧હે યહોવાહ, મારા પ્રભુ, તમે તમારા નામની ખાતર મારા માટે લડો. કેમ કે તમારી કૃપા ઉત્તમ છે, મારો બચાવ કરો.
22 for I am poor and needy. My heart is wounded within me.
૨૨કેમ કે હું ગરીબ તથા દરિદ્રી છું અને મારું હૃદય ઊંડે સુધી ઘાયલ થયું છે.
23 I fade away like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust.
૨૩હું નમી ગયેલી છાયાના જેવો થઈ ગયો છું; મને તીડની જેમ ખંખેરી નાખવામાં આવે છે.
24 My knees are weak through fasting. My body is thin and lacks fat.
૨૪ઉપવાસથી મારાં ઘૂંટણ નબળા પડ્યાં છે; મારું માંસ પુષ્ટિ વિના ઘટી ગયું છે.
25 I have also become a reproach to them. When they see me, they shake their head.
૨૫હું સર્વ માણસો માટે નિષ્ફળતાનું પ્રતીક બન્યો છું; જ્યારે તેઓ મને જુએ છે, ત્યારે તેઓ પોતાના માથાં હલાવે છે.
26 Help me, LORD, my God. Save me according to your loving kindness;
૨૬હે યહોવાહ મારા ઈશ્વર, મને મદદ કરો; તમારી કૃપા પ્રમાણે મારો બચાવ કરો.
27 that they may know that this is your hand; that you, LORD, have done it.
૨૭તેઓ જાણે કે આ તમે કર્યું છે, હે યહોવાહ, તમે જ આ કર્યું છે,
28 They may curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be shamed, but your servant shall rejoice.
૨૮જો તેઓ મને શાપ આપે, તો કૃપા કરી તેમને આશીર્વાદ આપજો; જ્યારે તેઓ હુમલો કરે, ત્યારે તેઓ શરમાઈ જાઓ, પણ તમારો સેવક આનંદ કરે.
29 Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.
૨૯મારા શત્રુઓ વસ્ત્રની જેમ બદનામીથી શરમ અનુભવો અને ઝભ્ભાની જેમ તેઓ શરમથી ઢંકાઈ જાઓ.
30 I will give great thanks to the LORD with my mouth. Yes, I will praise him among the multitude.
૩૦હું વારંવાર યહોવાહનો આભાર માનીશ; હું ઘણા લોકોમાં તેમની સ્તુતિ ગાઈશ.
31 For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul.
૩૧કારણ કે દરિદ્રીના આત્માને અપરાધી ઠરાવનારાઓથી ઉદ્ધાર આપવાને માટે યહોવાહ તેને જમણે હાથે ઊભા રહેશે.
