3 Now the man Moses was very humble, above all the men who were on the surface of the earth.
(Koma Mose anali munthu wodzichepetsa kwambiri kuposa munthu aliyense pa dziko lapansi).
4 The LORD spoke suddenly to Moses, to Aaron, and to Miriam, "You three come out to the Tent of Meeting." The three of them came out.

Mulungu anati, “Mverani mawu anga: “Pakakhala mneneri wa Yehova pakati panu, ndimadzionetsera kwa iyeyo mʼmasomphenya, ndimayankhula naye mʼmaloto.
7 My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house.
Koma sinditero ndi Mose mtumiki wanga; Iyeyu ndi wokhulupirika mʼnyumba yanga yonse.
8 With him I will speak mouth to mouth, even openly, and not in riddles; and he shall see the LORD's form. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?"

9 The anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.
Ndipo Yehova anawakwiyira, nachoka.
10 The cloud departed from over the Tent; and look, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. Aaron looked at Miriam, and look, she was leprous.
Pamene mtambo unachoka pamwamba pa Chihema, taonani, Miriamu anagwidwa ndi khate. Aaroni atachewuka anaona Miriamu ali ndi khate;

ndipo Aaroni anawuza Mose kuti, “Pepani mbuye wanga, musatilange chifukwa cha tchimo limene tachita mopusa.
12 Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb."
Musalole kuti Miriamu akhale ngati mwana wobadwa wakufa kuchoka mʼmimba mwa amayi ake, thupi lake litawonongeka.”

Tsono Mose anafuwulira Yehova kuti, “Chonde Inu Mulungu, muchiritseni!”
14 The LORD said to Moses, "If her father had but spit in her face, shouldn't she be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut up outside of the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again."
Yehova anayankha Mose kuti, “Abambo ake akanamulavulira malovu mʼmaso, kodi sakanakhala wonyozeka masiku asanu ndi awiri? Mutsekereni kunja kwa msasa masiku asanu ndi awiri, kenaka mumulowetsenso.”
15 Miriam was shut up outside of the camp seven days, and the people did not travel until Miriam was brought in again.
Choncho anamutsekera Miriamu kunja kwa msasa masiku asanu ndi awiri ndipo anthu sanayende ulendo wawo mpaka Miriamu atamulowetsanso.
16 Afterward the people traveled from Hazeroth, and camped in the wilderness of Paran.
