Nehemiah 7
1 Now it happened, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the gatekeepers and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
Setelah tembok selesai dibangun, aku memasang pintu-pintu. Lalu diangkatlah penunggu-penunggu pintu gerbang, para penyanyi dan orang-orang Lewi.
2 that I put my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the commander of the fortress, in charge of Jerusalem; for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
Pengawasan atas Yerusalem aku serahkan kepada Hanani, saudaraku, dan kepada Hananya, panglima benteng, karena dia seorang yang dapat dipercaya dan yang takut akan Allah lebih dari pada orang-orang lain.
3 I said to them, "Do not let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot; and while they stand guard, let them shut the doors, and you bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, everyone in his watch, with everyone near his house."
Berkatalah aku kepada mereka: "Pintu-pintu gerbang Yerusalem jangan dibuka sampai matahari panas terik. Dan pintu-pintunya harus ditutup dan dipalangi, sementara orang masih bertugas di tempatnya. Tempatkanlah penjaga-penjaga dari antara penduduk Yerusalem, masing-masing pada tempat-tempat penjagaan dan di depan rumahnya."
4 Now the city was wide and large; but the people were few in it, and the houses were not built.
Adapun kota itu luas dan besar, tetapi penduduknya sedikit dan rumah-rumah belum dibangun.
5 My God put into my heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. I found the book of the genealogy of those who came up at the first, and I found written in it:
Maka Allahku memberikan dalam hatiku rencana untuk mengumpulkan para pemuka, para penguasa dan rakyat, supaya mereka dicatat dalam silsilah. Lalu kudapati daftar silsilah orang-orang yang lebih dahulu berangkat pulang. Dalam daftar itu kudapati tertulis:
6 These are the people of the province, who went up out of the captivity of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and who returned to Jerusalem and to Judah, everyone to his city;
Inilah orang-orang propinsi Yehuda yang berangkat pulang dari pembuangan, yakni para tawanan, yang dahulu diangkut oleh Nebukadnezar, raja Babel, dan yang kembali ke Yerusalem dan ke Yehuda, masing-masing ke kotanya.
7 who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
Mereka datang bersama-sama Zerubabel, Yesua, Nehemia, Azarya, Raamya, Nahamani, Mordekhai, Bilsan, Misperet, Bigwai, Nehum dan Baana. Inilah daftar orang-orang bangsa Israel:
8 The descendants of Parosh, two thousand one hundred seventy-two.
bani Paros: dua ribu seratus tujuh puluh dua orang;
9 The descendants of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy-two.
bani Sefaca: tiga ratus tujuh puluh dua orang;
10 The descendants of Arah, six hundred fifty-two.
bani Arakh: enam ratus lima puluh dua orang;
11 The descendants of Pahath-Moab, of the descendants of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand eight hundred eighteen.
bani Pahat-Moab, yakni bani Yesua dan Yoab: dua ribu delapan ratus delapan belas orang;
12 The descendants of Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four.
bani Elam: seribu dua ratus lima puluh empat orang;
13 The descendants of Zattu, eight hundred forty-five.
bani Zatu: delapan ratus empat puluh lima orang;
14 The descendants of Zaccai, seven hundred sixty.
bani Zakai: tujuh ratus enam puluh orang;
15 The descendants of Bani, six hundred forty-eight.
bani Binui: enam ratus empat puluh delapan orang;
16 The descendants of Bebai, six hundred twenty-eight.
bani Bebai: enam ratus dua puluh delapan orang;
17 The descendants of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty-two.
bani Azgad: dua ribu tiga ratus dua puluh dua orang;
18 The descendants of Adonikam, six hundred sixty-seven.
bani Adonikam: enam ratus enam puluh tujuh orang;
19 The descendants of Bigvai, two thousand sixty-seven.
bani Bigwai: dua ribu enam puluh tujuh orang;
20 The descendants of Adin, six hundred fifty-five.
bani Adin: enam ratus lima puluh lima orang;
21 The descendants of Ater, of Hezekiah, ninety-eight.
bani Ater, yakni bani Hizkia: sembilan puluh delapan orang;
22 The descendants of Hashum, three hundred Twenty-eight.
bani Hasum: tiga ratus dua puluh delapan orang;
23 The descendants of Bezai, three hundred twenty-four.
bani Bezai: tiga ratus dua puluh empat orang;
24 The descendants of Jorah, one hundred twelve.
bani Harif: seratus dua belas orang;
25 The descendants of Gibbar, ninety-five.
bani Gibeon: sembilan puluh lima orang;
26 The men of Bethlehem and Netophah, one hundred eighty-eight.
orang-orang Betlehem dan Netofa: seratus delapan puluh delapan orang;
27 The men of Anathoth, one hundred twenty-eight.
orang-orang Anatot: seratus dua puluh delapan orang;
28 The men of Beth Azmaveth, forty-two.

29 The men of Kiriath Jearim, Kephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty-three.

30 The men of Ramah and Geba, six hundred twenty-one.
orang-orang Rama dan Gaba: enam ratus dua puluh satu orang;
31 The men of Michmas, one hundred and twenty-two.
orang-orang Mikhmas: seratus dua puluh dua orang;
32 The men of Bethel and Ai, a hundred twenty-three.
orang-orang Betel dan Ai: seratus dua puluh tiga orang;
33 The men of the other Nebo, fifty-two.

34 The descendants of the other Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four.

36 The descendants of Jericho, three hundred forty-five.
orang-orang Yerikho: tiga ratus empat puluh lima orang;
37 The descendants of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty-one.
orang-orang Lod, Hadid dan Ono: tujuh ratus dua puluh satu orang;
38 The descendants of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred thirty.
bani Senaa: tiga ribu sembilan ratus tiga puluh orang.
39 The cohanim: The descendants of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy-three.
Inilah para imam: bani Yedaya, yakni kaum keluarga Yesua: sembilan ratus tujuh puluh tiga orang;
40 The descendants of Immer, one thousand fifty-two.
bani Imer: seribu lima puluh dua orang;
41 The descendants of Pashhur, one thousand two hundred forty-seven.
bani Pasyhur: seribu dua ratus empat puluh tujuh orang;
42 The descendants of Harim, one thousand seventeen.
bani Harim: seribu tujuh belas orang.
43 The Levites: the descendants of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, of the descendants of Hodaviah, seventy-four.
Inilah orang-orang Lewi: bani Yesua, yakni bani Kadmiel dan bani Hodewa; tujuh puluh empat orang.
44 The singers: the descendants of Asaph, one hundred forty-eight.
Inilah para penyanyi: bani Asaf: seratus empat puluh delapan orang.
45 The gatekeepers: the descendants of Shallum, the descendants of Ater, the descendants of Talmon, the descendants of Akkub, the descendants of Hatita, the descendants of Shobai, one hundred thirty-eight.
Inilah para penunggu pintu gerbang: bani Salum, bani Ater, bani Talmon, bani Akub, bani Hatita, bani Sobai: seratus tiga puluh delapan orang.
46 The Nethinim: the descendants of Ziha, the descendants of Hasupha, the descendants of Tabbaoth,
Inilah para budak di bait Allah: bani Ziha, bani Hasufa, bani Tabaot;
47 the descendants of Keros, the descendants of Siaha, the descendants of Padon,
bani Keros, bani Sia, bani Padon;
48 the descendants of Lebana, the descendants of Hagaba, the descendants of Salmai,
bani Lebana, bani Hagaba, bani Salmai;
49 the descendants of Hanan, the descendants of Giddel, the descendants of Gahar,
bani Hanan, bani Gidel, bani Gahar;
50 the descendants of Reaiah, the descendants of Rezin, the descendants of Nekoda,
bani Reaya, bani Rezin, bani Nekoda;
51 the descendants of Gazzam, the descendants of Uzza, the descendants of Paseah.

52 The descendants of Besai, the descendants of Meunim, the descendants of Nephusim,
bani Besai, bani Meunim, bani Nefusim;
53 the descendants of Bakbuk, the descendants of Hakupha, the descendants of Harhur,
bani Bakbuk, bani Hakufa, bani Harhur;
54 the descendants of Bazluth, the descendants of Mehida, the descendants of Harsha,
bani Bazlit, bani Mehida, bani Harsa;
55 the descendants of Barkos, the descendants of Sisera, the descendants of Temah,
bani Barkos, bani Sisera, bani Temah;
56 the descendants of Neziah, the descendants of Hatipha.
bani Neziah, bani Hatifa.
57 The descendants of Solomon's servants: the descendants of Sotai, the descendants of Hassophereth, the descendants of Peruda,
Inilah keturunan para hamba Salomo: bani Sotai, bani Soferet, bani Perida;
58 the descendants of Jaalah, the descendants of Darkon, the descendants of Giddel,
bani Yaala, bani Darkon, bani Gidel;
59 the descendants of Shephatiah, the descendants of Hattil, the descendants of Pokereth Hazzebaim, the descendants of Amon.
bani Sefaca, bani Hatil, bani Pokheret-Hazebaim, bani Amon.
60 All the Nethinim, and the descendants of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety-two.
Seluruh budak di bait Allah dan keturunan para hamba Salomo ada tiga ratus sembilan puluh dua orang.
61 These were those who went up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addan, and Immer; but they could not prove their ancestral houses, nor their descent, whether they were of Israel:
Inilah orang-orang yang berangkat pulang dari Tel-Melah, Tel-Harsa, Kerub, Adon dan Imer, tetapi mereka tidak dapat menyatakan apakah kaum keluarga dan asal-usul mereka termasuk bangsa Israel:
62 The descendants of Delaiah, the descendants of Tobiah, the descendants of Nekoda, six hundred forty-two.
bani Delaya, bani Tobia, bani Nekoda: enam ratus empat puluh dua orang;
63 Of the cohanim: the descendants of Hobaiah, the descendants of Hakkoz, the descendants of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name.
dan dari antara para imam: bani Habaya, bani Hakos, bani Barzilai. Barzilai itu memperisteri seorang anak perempuan Barzilai, orang Gilead itu, dan sejak itu ia dinamai menurut nama keluarga itu.
64 These searched for their genealogical records, but couldn't find them. Therefore they were deemed defiled and not allowed as cohanim.
Mereka itu menyelidiki apakah nama mereka tercatat dalam silsilah, tetapi karena itu tidak didapati, maka mereka dinyatakan tidak tahir untuk jabatan imam.
65 The governor said to them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, until there stood up a cohen with Urim and Thummim.
Dan tentang mereka diputuskan oleh kepala daerah, bahwa mereka tidak boleh makan dari persembahan maha kudus, sampai ada seorang imam bertindak dengan memegang Urim dan Tumim.
66 The whole assembly together was forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,
Seluruh jemaah itu bersama-sama ada empat puluh dua ribu tiga ratus enam puluh orang,
67 besides their male servants and their female servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven: and they had two hundred forty-five singing men and singing women.
selain dari budak mereka laki-laki dan perempuan yang berjumlah tujuh ribu tiga ratus tiga puluh tujuh orang. Pada mereka ada dua ratus empat puluh lima penyanyi laki-laki dan perempuan.
68 Their horses were seven hundred thirty-six; their mules, two hundred forty-five;
Mereka mempunyai tujuh ratus tiga puluh enam ekor kuda, dua ratus empat puluh lima ekor bagal,
69 their camels, four hundred thirty-five; their donkeys, six thousand seven hundred twenty.
empat ratus tiga puluh lima ekor unta dan enam ribu tujuh ratus dua puluh ekor keledai.
70 Some from among the heads of fathers' households gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury one thousand darics of gold, fifty basins, and five hundred thirty cohanim' garments.
Sebagian dari kepala kaum keluarga memberi sumbangan untuk pekerjaan itu, sedang kepala daerah memberi sumbangan untuk perbendaharaan seribu dirham emas, lima puluh buah bokor penyiraman, dan lima ratus tiga puluh helai kemeja imam.
71 Some of the heads of fathers' households gave into the treasury of the work twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand two hundred minas of silver.
Pula beberapa kepala kaum keluarga memberi sumbangan untuk perbendaharaan pekerjaan itu dua puluh ribu dirham emas dan dua ribu dua ratus mina perak.
72 That which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand minas of silver, and sixty-seven cohanim' garments.
Dan yang disumbangkan oleh orang-orang lain adalah: dua puluh ribu dirham emas, dua ribu mina perak dan enam puluh tujuh helai kemeja imam.
73 So the cohanim, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinim, and all Israel, lived in their cities. When the seventh month had come, the children of Israel were in their cities.
Adapun para imam dan orang-orang Lewi, para penunggu pintu dan para penyanyi, juga sebagian dari rakyat, para budak di bait Allah dan semua orang Israel yang lain menetap di kota-kota mereka. Ketika tiba bulan yang ketujuh, sedang orang Israel telah menetap di kota-kotanya,
