< Judges 5 >

1 Then Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam sang on that day, saying,
“Tsiku limenelo Debora ndi Baraki mwana wa Abinoamu anayimba nyimbo iyi:
2 "Because the leaders took the lead in Israel, because the people offered themselves willingly, be blessed, LORD.
“Popeza kuti atsogoleri anatsogoleradi mʼdziko la Israeli; ndipo anthu anadzipereka okha mwa ufulu, tamandani Yehova:
3 "Hear, you kings. Give ear, you princes. I, even I, will sing to the LORD. I will sing praise to the LORD, the God of Israel.
“Imvani inu mafumu! Tcherani khutu, atsogoleri inu! Ndidzayimba nyimbo, ndidzayimbira Yehova, Mulungu wa Israeli nyimbo yokoma.
4 "LORD, when you went forth out of Seir, when you marched out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, the sky also dropped. Yes, the clouds dropped water.
“Inu Yehova, pamene munkatuluka mu Seiri, pamene mumayenda kuchokera mʼdziko la Edomu, dziko linagwedezeka, mitambo inasungunuka nigwetsa madzi.
5 The mountains quaked at the presence of the LORD, even Sinai, at the presence of the LORD, the God of Israel.
Mapiri anagwedezeka pamaso pa Yehova, Mulungu wa Israeli.
6 "In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied. The travelers walked through byways.
“Pa nthawi ya Samugara mwana wa Anati, pa nthawi ya Yaeli, misewu inasiyidwa; alendo ankangoyenda mʼtinjira takumbali.
7 The rulers ceased in Israel. They ceased until I, Deborah, arose; Until I arose a mother in Israel.
Anthu a ku midzi anathawa; mu Israeli munalibe midzi mpaka pamene iwe Debora unafika; unafika ngati mayi ku Israeli.
8 They chose new gods. Then war was in the gates. Was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?
Pamene anasankha milungu ina, nkhondo inabwera ku zipata za mzinda, ndipo chishango kapena mkondo sizinapezeke pakati pa anthu 40,000 mu Israeli.
9 My heart is toward the leaders of Israel, who offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless the LORD.
Mtima wanga uli ndi atsogoleri a Israeli, uli ndi anthu amene anadzipereka okha mwaufulu pakati pa anthu. Tamandani Yehova!
10 "Speak, you who ride on white donkeys, you who sit on saddle blankets, and you who walk by the way.
“Inu okwera pa abulu oyera, okhala pa zishalo, ndi inu oyenda pa msewu, yankhulani.
11 Far from the noise of archers, in the places of drawing water, there they will rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD, the righteous acts of his rule in Israel. "Then the people of the LORD went down to the gates.
Ku zitsime, kutali ndi phokoso la a mauta; kumeneko akusimba za kuti Yehova wapambana; akusimba kuti Yehova walipsira anthu ake mu Israeli. “Choncho anthu a Yehova anasonkhana ku zipata za mzinda.
12 'Awake, awake, Deborah. Awaken the multitudes of a nation. Awake, awake, sing a song. Be strong. Arise, Barak. And Deborah, strengthen Barak. And lead away your captives, son of Abinoam.'
Anati, ‘Tsogolera ndiwe, Debora, tsogolera; tsogolera ndiwe, tsogolera, imba nyimbo. Iwe Baraki! nyamuka Tsogolera akapolo ako, iwe mwana wa Abinoamu.’
13 "Then a remnant of the nobles came down. The people of the LORD marched down to me against the mighty.
“Kenaka anthu okhulupirika anatsatira atsogoleri awo; anthu a Yehova anapita kukamenyera Yehova nkhondo kulimbana ndi adani amphamvu.
14 From Ephraim those who uprooted Amalek came out, following you, Benjamin, among your peoples; out of Makir leaders came down, and out of Zebulun those that handle the staff of office.
Anakalowa mʼchigwa kuchokera ku Efereimu; akutsatira iwe Benjamini ndi abale ako. Akulu a ankhondo anachokera ku Makiri, ndipo onyamula ndodo ya udindo anachokera ku Zebuloni.
15 And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah. As was Issachar, so was Barak. They rushed into the valley at his feet. By the watercourses of Reuben, there were great resolves of heart.
Olamulira a Isakara anali pamodzi ndi Debora; inde, anthu ochokera ku Isakara anatsatanso Baraki, ndipo anathamangira ku chigwa akumutsatira. Koma pakati pa mafuko a Rubeni panali kusinkhasinkha mtima kwambiri osadziwa chenicheni choyenera kuchita.
16 Why did you sit among the sheepfolds, to hear the piping for the flocks? At the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.
Chifukwa chiyani munangokhala ku makola a nkhosa nʼkumangomvetsera zitoliro zoyitanira nkhosa? Pakati pa anthu a fuko la Rubeni panali kusinkhasinkha mtima kwambiri osadziwa chenicheni choyenera kuti achite.
17 Gilead lived beyond the Jordan. Why did Dan remain in ships? Asher sat still at the haven of the sea, and lived by his harbors.
Agiliyadi anatsala pa tsidya la Yorodani. Ndipo nʼchifukwa chiyani anthu afuko la Dani anatsarira mʼsitima za pa madzi? Aseri anali pa gombe la Nyanja; anangokhala mʼmadooko mwawo.
18 Zebulun was a people that risked their lives even to death; Naphtali also, on the high places of the field.
Azebuloni ndi anthu amene anayika moyo wawo mʼzoopsa. Nawonso anthu a fuko la Nafutali anayika miyoyo yawo pa chiswe pomenya nkhondo pamwamba pa mapiri.
19 The kings came and fought, then the kings of Canaan fought at Taanach by the waters of Megiddo. They took no plunder of silver.
“Mafumu anabwera, anachita nkhondo; mafumu Akanaani anachita nkhondo ku Tanaki pafupi ndi madzi a ku Megido, koma sanatengeko zofunkha zasiliva.
20 From the sky the stars fought. From their courses, they fought against Sisera.
Ngakhalenso nyenyezi zakumwamba zinachita nkhondo, zinathira nkhondo Sisera, zikuyenda mʼnjira zake.
21 The river Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. My soul, march on with strength.
Mtsinje wa Kisoni unawakokolola, chigumula cha mtsinje wa Kisoni chinawakokolola. Mtima wanga, yenda mwamphamvu, limbika!
22 Then the horse hoofs pounded because of the galloping, the galloping of their steeds.
Ndipo ziboda za ngʼombe zazimuna zinachita phokoso lalikulu, akavalo ali pa liwiro, akuthamanga kwambiri.
23 Curse Meroz, said the angel of the LORD. Curse bitterly its inhabitants, because they did not come to help the LORD, to help the LORD against the mighty.
Mngelo wa Yehova anati ‘Tembererani Merozi.’ ‘Tembererani nzika zake mwaukali, chifukwa sanabwere kudzathandiza Yehova, kulimbana ndi adani ake amphamvu.’
24 Jael shall be blessed above women, the wife of Heber the Kenite; blessed shall she be above women in the tent.
“Akhale wodala kupambana akazi onse, Yaeli mkazi wa Heberi Mkeni; inde mwa akazi onse okhala mʼdziko, akhale wodala iyeyu.
25 He asked for water. She gave him milk. She brought him curds in a princely bowl.
Munthu uja anapempha madzi akumwa, koma iye anamupatsa mkaka; anamupatsa chambiko mʼchikho cha wolemekezeka.
26 She put her hand to the tent peg, and her right hand to the workmen's hammer. She struck Sisera, she pierced his head; she shattered and struck through his temple.
Anatenga chikhomo cha tenti mʼdzanja lake, anatenganso nyundo ndi dzanja lake lamanja. Ndipo anakhoma nacho Sisera, anamuphwanya mutu wake, ndi kumubowola mu litsipa mwake.
27 At her feet he collapsed, he fell, he lay. At her feet he collapsed, he fell. Where he collapsed, there he fell down, destroyed.
Anathifukira ku mapazi a mkaziyo nagwa, anagwa; iye anagona pamenepo. Anagwera pa mapazi a mkaziyo, iye anagwa; pamene anagwera, pamenepo anaferapo.
28 Through the window she looked out. Sisera's mother cried out through the lattice, 'Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why are the hoofbeats of his chariots delayed?'
“Amayi ake a Sisera anasuzumira pa zenera; nafuwula mokweza kuti, ‘Nʼchifukwa chiyani galeta lake lachedwa kufika? Nʼchifukwa chiyani phokoso la magaleta ake silikumveka?’
29 Her wise princesses answered her; indeed, she answers herself,
Amayi ake anzeru kwambiri anamuyankha, ndithudi, mwiniwake anadziyankha yekha kuti,
30 'Have they not found, have they not divided the spoil? A womb or two for every man; to Sisera a spoil of dyed garments, A spoil of dyed garments embroidered, Of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, for the neck of the plunderer?'
‘Kodi iwo sakufunafuna zofunkha kuti agawane; akugawana wankhondo aliyense mtsikana mmodzi kapena awiri. Sisera akumupatsa zofunkha: zovala zonyikidwa mu utoto, zoti ndizivala mʼkhosi zovala zopeta zonyika mu utoto, ndi zopeta zomavala mʼkhosi?’
31 So let all your enemies perish, LORD, but let those who love you be as the sun when it rises forth in its strength." And the land had rest forty years.
“Choncho Yehova! adani anu onse awonongeke, koma iwo amene amakukondani inu akhale ngati dzuwa pamene lituluka ndi mphamvu zake.” Ndipo dziko linakhala pa mtendere zaka makumi anayi.
