Jeremiah 25
1 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (the same was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon),
ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗನೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದರೆ, ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿಯೊಂದು ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು.
2 which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying:
ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರಿಗೂ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದು ಏನೆಂದರೆ:
3 "From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty-three years, the word of the LORD has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; but you have not listened.
ಆಮೋನನ ಮಗನೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಹದಿಮೂರನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಈ ದಿವಸದವರೆಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ, ಕಳೆದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಡಮಾಡದೆ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
4 The LORD has sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them (but you have not listened, nor inclined your ear to hear)
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಿವಿ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
5 saying, 'Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forevermore;
ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: “ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಮತ್ತೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮಗೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ವಾಸಿಸುವಿರಿ.
6 and do not go after other gods to serve them or worship them, and do not provoke me to anger with the work of your hands; and I will do you no harm.
ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಆರಾಧಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಆಗ ನಿಮಗೆ ಯಾವ ಕೇಡೂ ಮಾಡೆನು.”
7 Yet you have not listened to me,' says the LORD; 'that you may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.'
“ಆದರೂ ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡದೆ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೇಡು ಬರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
8 Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts: 'Because you have not heard my words,
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: “ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳದ ಕಾರಣ
9 look, I will send and take all the families of the north,' says the LORD, 'and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around; and I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.
ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ, ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅವರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ತರಿಸಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಭಯಕ್ಕೂ, ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಗುರಿಮಾಡಿ ನಿತ್ಯ ನಾಶಮಾಡುವೆನು.
10 Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.
ನಾನು ಈ ದೇಶಗಳಿಂದ ಸಂತೋಷದ ಶಬ್ದ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷದ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುತ್ತೇನೆ, ವಧು ಅಥವಾ ವಧುವಿನ ಧ್ವನಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಬೀಸುಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಸದ್ದನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸುವೆನು. ದೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
11 This whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
ಈ ದೇಶವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ಭಯಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವುದು. ಈ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಸೇವಿಸುವರು.
12 It shall happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, says the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it desolate forever.
“ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ತುಂಬಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಅರಸನನ್ನೂ, ಆ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನೂ, ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಅಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿ ದಂಡಿಸುವೆನು. ಅದನ್ನು ನಿತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವೆನು.
13 I will bring on that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this scroll, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.
ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಆ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿ, ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡುವೆನು.
14 For many nations and great kings shall make bondservants of them, even of them; and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.'"
ಅನೇಕ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೂ, ದೊಡ್ಡ ಅರಸರೂ ಅವರಿಂದ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ಅವರ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೂ, ಅವರ ಕೈಕೆಲಸದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೂ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲ ಕೊಡುವೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
15 For thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, to me: "Take this cup of the wine of wrath at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it.
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಹೀಗೆಂದರು: “ಈ ರೌದ್ರದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಅದನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ.
16 They shall drink, and reel back and forth, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them."
ಆಗ ಅವರು ಕುಡಿದು ನಾನು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವ ಖಡ್ಗದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಕದಲಿ ಓಲಾಡುವರು.”
17 Then took I the cup at the LORD's hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom the LORD had sent me:
ಆಗ ನಾನು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಡಿಸಿದೆನು.
18 Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and its kings, and its officials, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;
ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೂ, ಅದರ ಅರಸುಗಳಿಗೂ, ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಇಂದಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡಿ, ಭಯಕ್ಕೂ, ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ, ಶಾಪಕ್ಕೂ ಗುರಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕುಡಿಸಿದೆನು.
19 Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his officials, and all his people;
ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೂ, ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೂ, ಅವನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೂ, ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಿಗೂ,
20 and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of the Uz, and all the kings of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;
ವಿದೇಶೀಯ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ, ಊಚ್ ದೇಶದ ಅರಸರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯ ದೇಶದ ಅರಸರಾದ, ಅಷ್ಕೆಲೋನಿಗೂ, ಗಾಜಕ್ಕೂ, ಎಕ್ರೋನಿಗೂ, ಅಷ್ಡೋದಿನ ಉಳಿದವರಿಗೂ,
21 Edom, and Moab, and the people of Ammon;
ಎದೋಮಿಗೂ, ಮೋವಾಬಿಗೂ, ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯರಿಗೂ,
22 and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;
ಟೈರಿನ ಅರಸರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ, ಸೀದೋನಿನ ಅರಸರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ, ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದ್ವೀಪದ ಅರಸರಿಗೂ,
23 Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all who have the corners of their beard cut off;
ದೆದಾನಿಗೂ, ತೇಮಾಕ್ಕೂ, ಬೂಜಿಗೂ, ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯ ಮೂಲೆಯವರೆಗೂ,
24 and all the kings of Arabia, [and all the kings of the mixed people] who dwell in the wilderness;
ಅರೇಬಿಯದ ಅರಸರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ, ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಮಿಶ್ರವಾದ ಜನರ ಅರಸರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ,
25 and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;
ಜಿಮ್ರಿಯ ಅರಸರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ, ಏಲಾಮಿನ ಅರಸರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ, ಮೇದ್ಯದ ಅರಸರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ,
26 and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
ಹತ್ತಿರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಒಬ್ಬರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಿರುವ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ಅರಸರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲ್ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವಂಥ ಲೋಕದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೂ ಕುಡಿಸಿದೆನು. ಶೇಷಕಿನ ಅರಸನು ಅವರ ತರುವಾಯ ಕುಡಿಯುವನು.
27 "You shall tell them, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: "Drink, and be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you."'
“ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ‘ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವ ಖಡ್ಗದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೇ ಕುಡಿಯಿರಿ, ಮತ್ತರಾಗಿರಿ, ಕಾರಿರಿ, ಬೀಳಿರಿ, ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಏಳದಿರಿ.’
28 It shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you shall tell them, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts: "You shall surely drink.
ಅವರು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಕುಡಿಯಲು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದರೆ, ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ‘ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ, ನೀವು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಕುಡಿಯಬೇಕು.
29 For, look, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You shall not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth,"' says the LORD of hosts.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಕರೆಯಲಾಗಿರುವ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಕೇಡನ್ನು ತರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನೀವು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೀರೋ? ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.’
30 Therefore prophesy you against them all these words, and tell them, 'The LORD will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he will mightily roar against his fold; he will give a shout, as those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
“ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳತಕ್ಕದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಉನ್ನತದಿಂದ ಗರ್ಜಿಸಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ನಿವಾಸದೊಳಗಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವರು. ತಮ್ಮ ನಿವಾಸದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಗರ್ಜಿಸಿ, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ತುಳಿಯುವವರ ಹಾಗೆ ಆರ್ಭಟವನ್ನು ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತುವರು.
31 A noise shall come even to the remotest parts of the earth; for the LORD brings charges against the nations; he will enter into judgment with all flesh: as for the wicked, he will give them to the sword,' says the LORD.
ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಂತ್ಯಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಘೋಷವು ಬರುವುದು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಲ್ಲುವರು. ದುಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ಖಡ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವರು,’” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
32 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'Look, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great storm shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.'
ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: “ಇಗೋ, ಜನಾಂಗದಿಂದ ಜನಾಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇಡು ಹೊರಡುವುದು. ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇರೆಗಳಿಂದ ಮಹಾ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿ ಏಳುವುದು.”
33 The slain of the LORD shall be on that day from all areas of the earth. They shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung on the surface of the ground.
ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಈ ಮೇರೆಯಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಆ ಮೇರೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹತರಾದವರು ಇರುವರು. ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಗೋಳಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೂಳಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಗೊಬ್ಬರದಂತಿರುವರು.
34 Wail, you shepherds, and cry; and wallow in dust, you principal of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are fully come, and you shall fall like a goodly vessel.
ಕುರುಬರೇ, ಗೋಳಿಟ್ಟು ಕೂಗಿರಿ. ಮಂದೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ರಮುಖರೇ, ಧೂಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಳಾಡಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಚದರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ದಿನಗಳು ತುಂಬಿ ಇವೆ. ಆಗ ನೀವು ಒಡೆದುಹೋದ ಅಂದವಾದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಂತೆ ಬೀಳುವಿರಿ.
35 The shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.
ಆಗ ಕುರುಬರಿಗೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಮಂದೆಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖರಿಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಮಾರ್ಗವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗುವುದು.
36 A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the principal of the flock. For the LORD lays waste their pasture.
ಕುರುಬರ ಕೂಗಿನ ಶಬ್ದವು, ಮಂದೆಯ ಗೋಳಾಡುವಿಕೆಯೂ ಪ್ರಮುಖರಿಗೆ ಕೇಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರ ಮೇವಿನ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
37 The peaceable folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
ಸಮಾಧಾನವುಳ್ಳ ಗೋಮಾಳಗಳು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪದ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆಡವಿಬಿದ್ದವು.
38 He has left his covert, as the lion; for their land has become an astonishment, because of the sword of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger."
ಅವರು ಸಿಂಹದಂತೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಗವಿಯನ್ನು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಉಪದ್ರವ ಪಡಿಸುವವನ ಉರಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ, ಅವರ ಕೋಪದ ಉರಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ಅವರ ದೇಶವು ಹಾಳಾಯಿತು.
