Jeremiah 19
1 Thus said the LORD, "Go, and buy a potter's earthen bottle, and take with you some of the elders of the people, and of the elders of the cohanim;
൧യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം കല്പിച്ചു: “നീ പോയി കുശവനോട് ഒരു മൺകുടം വിലയ്ക്കു വാങ്ങി, ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരിലും പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാരിലും ചിലരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട്,
2 and go forth to the Valley of Ben Hinnom, which is by the entry of the Potsherd Gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell you;
൨ഹർസീത്ത് (ഓട്ടുനുറുക്ക്) വാതിലിന്റെ പുറമെയുള്ള ബെൻ-ഹിന്നോം താഴ്വരയിൽ ചെന്ന്, ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്ന വാക്കുകൾ അവിടെ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടത്:
3 and say, 'Hear the word of the LORD, kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem: thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, "Look, I will bring evil on this place, which whoever hears, his ears shall tingle.
൩“യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരും യെരൂശലേം നിവാസികളുമായുള്ളോരേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾക്കുവിൻ! യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഞാൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിന് വരുത്തുന്ന അനർത്ഥത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് കേൾക്കുന്നവന്റെ ചെവി തരിച്ചുപോകും.
4 Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it to other gods, that they did not know, they and their fathers and the kings of Judah; and have filled this place with the blood of innocents,
൪അവർ എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച്, ഈ സ്ഥലത്തെ വഷളാക്കി, അവരും അവരുടെ പൂര്‍വ്വ പിതാക്കന്മാരും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരും അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്ത അന്യദേവന്മാർക്ക് അവിടെവച്ച് ധൂപം കാട്ടി, ഈ സ്ഥലത്തെ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവരുടെ രക്തംകൊണ്ടു നിറയ്ക്കുകയും
5 and have built the high places of Baal, to burn their sons in the fire for burnt offerings to Baal; which I did not command, nor spoke it, neither came it into my mind:
൫ബാലിനു ദഹനയാഗങ്ങളായി അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെ തീയിൽ ഇട്ടു ദഹിപ്പിക്കുവാൻ പൂജാഗിരികൾ പണിയുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. അത് ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ല, അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല, എന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ വന്നിട്ടുമില്ല.
6 therefore, look, the days come," says the LORD, "that this place shall no more be called Topheth, nor The Valley of Ben Hinnom, but The Valley of Slaughter.
൬അതുകൊണ്ട് ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിന് ഇനി തോഫെത്ത് എന്നും ബെൻ-ഹിന്നോം താഴ്വര എന്നും പേരുപറയാതെ കൊലത്താഴ്വര എന്ന് പേരുപറയുന്ന കാലം വരും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
7 I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hand of those who seek their life: and their dead bodies will I give to be food for the birds of the sky, and for the animals of the earth.
൭“അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവച്ച് യെഹൂദയുടെയും യെരൂശലേമിന്റെയും ആലോചനയെ നിഷ്ഫലമാക്കും; ഞാൻ അവരെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വാൾകൊണ്ടും അവർക്ക് പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൈകൊണ്ടും വീഴ്ത്തുകയും, അവരുടെ ശവങ്ങൾ ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികൾക്കും കാട്ടിലെ മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കും ഇരയാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
8 I will make this city an astonishment, and a hissing; everyone who passes thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all its plagues.
൮ഞാൻ ഈ നഗരത്തെ സ്തംഭനത്തിനും പരിഹാസത്തിനും വിഷയമാക്കിത്തീർക്കും; അതിനരികിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ഏവനും സ്തംഭിച്ച്, അതിന് നേരിട്ട സകലബാധകളും നിമിത്തം പരിഹാസത്തോടെ ചൂളംവിളിക്കും.
9 I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters; and they shall eat everyone the flesh of his friend, in the siege and in the distress, with which their enemies, and those who seek their life, shall distress them."'
൯അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കളും അവർക്ക് പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവരും അവരെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കത്തിലും ഉപരോധത്തിലും ഞാൻ അവരെ സ്വന്തപുത്രന്മാരുടെ മാംസവും പുത്രിമാരുടെ മാംസവും തിന്നുമാറാക്കും; ഓരോരുത്തൻ അവനവന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നും.
10 Then you shall break the bottle in the sight of the men who go with you,
൧൦പിന്നെ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ വന്ന പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ കൺമുമ്പിൽ നീ ആ മൺകുടം ഉടച്ച് അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാൽ:
11 and shall tell them, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaks a potter's vessel, that can't be made whole again; and they shall bury in Topheth, until there is no place to bury.
൧൧“സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നന്നാക്കുവാൻ കഴിയാത്തവണ്ണം കുശവന്റെ പാത്രം ഉടച്ചുകളഞ്ഞതുപോലെ, ഞാൻ ഈ ജനത്തെയും ഈ നഗരത്തെയും ഉടച്ചുകളയും. അടക്കം ചെയ്യുവാൻ വേറെ സ്ഥലമില്ലായ്കയാൽ അവരെ തോഫെത്തിൽ അടക്കം ചെയ്യും.
12 Thus will I do to this place," says the LORD, "and to its inhabitants, even making this city as Topheth:
൧൨ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തോടും അതിലെ നിവാസികളോടും ചെയ്യും; ഞാൻ ഈ നഗരത്തെ തോഫെത്തിനു സമമാക്കും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
13 and the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, which are defiled, shall be as the place of Topheth, even all the houses on whose roofs they have burned incense to all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings to other gods."'"
൧൩മലിനമായിരിക്കുന്ന യെരൂശലേമിലെ വീടുകളും, യെഹൂദാ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ അരമനകളും, അവർ മട്ടുപ്പാവുകളിൽവച്ച് ആകാശത്തിലെ സർവ്വസൈന്യത്തിനും ധൂപം കാണിക്കുകയും, അന്യദേവന്മാർക്ക് പാനീയബലി പകരുകയും ചെയ്ത എല്ലാ ഭവനങ്ങളും തോഫെത്ത് എന്ന സ്ഥലംപോലെയാകും”.
14 Then came Jeremiah from Topheth, where the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD's house, and said to all the people:
൧൪അനന്തരം യഹോവ തന്നെ പ്രവചിക്കുവാൻ അയച്ചിരുന്ന തോഫെത്തിൽനിന്ന് യിരെമ്യാവ് വന്ന്, യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പ്രാകാരത്തിൽ നിന്നുകൊണ്ട് സകലജനത്തോടും:
15 "Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, 'Look, I will bring on this city and on all its towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it; because they have made their neck stiff, that they may not hear my words.'"
൧൫“യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: അവർ എന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കാതെ ശാഠ്യംപിടിച്ചിരിക്കുകകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ ഈ നഗരത്തിനു വിധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സകല അനർത്ഥവും അതിനും അതിനടുത്ത എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങൾക്കും വരുത്തും” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
