< Isaiah 31 >

1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, and they do not seek the LORD.
Feh-ohatse amo mizotso mb’e Mitsraime mb’eo hipay olotse, miato aman-tsoavala, naho mirampy an-tsarete kanao maro, vaho amo mpiningitse ama’eo katao maozatse; f’ie tsy mitolike amy Masi’ Israele, tsy paia’ iareo t’Iehovà!
2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring disaster, and will not call back his words, but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against those who help evildoers.
Fa mahihitse ka re hindesa’e hankàñe, vaho tsy hampoli’e o tsara’eo; f’ie hiongake hiatreatre ty anjomba’ o lo-tserekeo naho ty fañimba’ o mikitro-karatiañeo.
3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD stretches out his hand, both he who helps shall stumble, and he who is helped shall fall, and they all shall be consumed together.
Ondaty ‘nio o nte-Mitsraimeo fa tsy Andrianañahare, naho nòfotse o soavala’eo fa tsy angatse; aa le hatora-kitsi’ Iehovà ty fità’e, le hitsikapy ty mpañimba naho hikorovoke i imbaeñey, vaho songa hitrao-pihotrake.
4 For thus says the LORD to me, "As the lion and the young lion growling over his prey, if a multitude of shepherds is called together against him, will not be dismayed at their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them, so the LORD of hosts will come down to fight on Mount Zion and on its heights.
Fa hoe t’Iehovà amako: Hambañe ami’ty liona naho ty liona tora’e, ie mitromoroñe ambone’ i nitsàtsa’ey, ndra te maro ty mpiarak’añondry nikoiheñe ty ama’e, tsy mañembañe aze ty feo’ iareo, tsy mañembetse aze ty fikorà’ iareo; izay ty hizotsoa’ Iehovà’ i Màroy hialia’e am-bohi-Tsione, naho an-kaboa’e eo;
5 As birds hovering, so the LORD of hosts will protect Jerusalem. He will protect and deliver it. He will pass over and preserve it."
Manahake ty fihelahela’ o voroñeo, ty hañarova’ Iehovà’ i Màroy t’Ierosalaime; katao mañaro, mamotsotse, kanao ihelaña’e ambone, mandrombake.
6 Return to him from whom you have deeply revolted, children of Israel.
Mitoliha amy loho niolà’ areoy, ry ana’ Israeleo.
7 For in that day everyone shall cast away his idols of silver and his idols of gold—sin which your own hands have made for you.
Ie amy andro zay, songa hañary ze sare-sokim-bolafoti’e naho o saren-draha volamena’eo, o tsinene am-pitañe aman-kakeoo.
8 "The Assyrian will fall by the sword, not of man; and the sword, not of mankind, shall devour him. He will flee from the sword, and his young men will become subject to forced labor.
Toe hampikorovohe’ ty fibara tsy a’ ondaty ty Asore; ty fibara tsy a’ ondaty ty hamotsek’ aze; aa le tsy hibotatsaha’e i fibaray, vaho ho mpitorom-pamorekèke o ajalahi’eo.
9 His rock will pass away by reason of terror, and his officers will be afraid of the banner," says the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
Hihelañe añe am-pirevendreveñañe i hafatrara’ey, naho hitsolofìñe amy saiñey o mpifehe’eo, hoe t’Iehovà, an-Tsione ao ty afo’e vaho e Ierosalaime ao ty toña’e.
