< Isaiah 13 >

1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw:
Nibekoe’ Iesaià ana’ i Amotse i Bavele amy nioni’ey.
2 Set up a banner on the bare mountain. Lift up your voice to them. Wave your hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
Ampitroaro viloñe am-bohits’abo ey, ipoñafo feo, mañelahelà fitañe, himoaha’ iareo an-dalam-bein-droandriañe ao.
3 I have commanded my consecrated ones; I have also called my mighty men to carry out my anger, my proudly exulting ones.
Fa liniliko o neferakoo naho kinoiko o manjofakoo, o mahimbañe naho rototseo ty amy habosehakoy.
4 The noise of a multitude is in the mountains, as of a great people; the noise of an uproar of the kingdoms of the nations gathered together. The LORD of hosts is mustering the army for the battle.
Inay ty rehoreho am-bohitse eñe, hoe ondaty mitozantozañe! Inao ty fikoraha’ ty fitontona’ o fifehea’ o kilakila ‘ndatio! Tehafe’ Iehovà’ i Màroy o valobohòkeo hihotakotake.
5 They come from a far country, from the uttermost part of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
Boak’ an-tsietoitane añe iereo, boak’ am-pigadoña’ i likerañey añe, —Iehovà, naho o fialiam-pifombo’eo— handrotsake i tane iabiy.
6 Wail; for the day of the LORD is at hand. It will come as destruction from Shaddai.
Mangololoiha; fa antitotse ty andro’ Iehovà; toe fandrotsahañe boak’ amy El-Sadai ty hivotraha’e;
7 Therefore all hands will be feeble, and everyone's heart will melt.
Hene higebañe amy zao o fitañeo, vaho songa hitranake ty arofo’ ondaty.
8 They will be dismayed. Pangs and sorrows will seize them. They will be in pain like a woman in labor. They will look in amazement one at another. Their faces will be faces of flame.
Hangebahebake iereo; hamihiñe iareo ty hativontivoñe naho ty fisintosintoñe; le hanahake ty fitsongoan-ampela ty fanaintaiña’ iareo; ho veren-draha hifampitorìtotse; ho tarehe mibelabela-afo ty lahara’ iareo.
9 Look, the day of the LORD comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger; to make the land a desolation, and to destroy its sinners out of it.
Inao, antitotse ty andro’ Iehovà, hasarerahañe, filoroloro naho fifombo miforoforo, hampangotomomoke i taney, vaho hamongotse o lo-tsereke ama’eo.
10 For the stars of the sky and its constellations will not give their light. The sun will be darkened in its going forth, and the moon will not cause its light to shine.
Le tsy hañomey ty hazavà’e o vasian-dikerañeo naho o fitoboroña’eo, ho maieñe i àndroy te manjirike, vaho tsy hampaviahe’ i volañey ty hazavà’e.
11 I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity. I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will humble the haughtiness of the terrible.
Ho liloveko ty tane toy ty amo hakeo’ iareoo, o tsy vokatseo ty amo tahi’ iareoo, le haziko ty firengevoha’ o mpiebotsebotseo, vaho hazevoko ambane ty fireñeta’ o mpamorekekeo.
12 I will make people more rare than fine gold, even a person than the pure gold of Ophir.
Hanoeko loho sarotse ta ty volamena hiringiri’e t’indaty; le ambone’ ty vongam-bolamena’ i Ofirey ondatio.
13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
Aa le hampiezeñezeñeko o likerañeo, naho hahifikifike tsy ho amy toe’ey ty tane toy, ty ami’ty fifombo’ Iehovà’ i Màroy, amy andron-kaviñera’e miloroloroy.
14 It will happen that like a hunted gazelle, and like sheep that no one gathers, they will each turn to their own people, and will each flee to their own land.
Ho tondroke amy zay t’ie hanahake ty farasy rinoake naho ty añondry tsy amam-pamory sindre milay mb’an-tane’e mb’eo, songa himpoly mb’am’ondati’eo.
15 Everyone who is found will be thrust through. Everyone who is captured will fall by the sword.
Ho tomboheñe iaby ze zoeñe, vaho hene hampikorovohem-pibara ze tsinepake.
16 Their infants also will be dashed in pieces before their eyes. Their houses will be ransacked, and their wives raped.
Ho demodemoheñe añatrefam- pihaino’iareo o anak’ajaja’ iareoo; ho kopaheñe ty anjomba’ iareo, vaho ho vahorañe ty rakemba’ iareo.
17 Look, I will stir up the Medes against them, who will not value silver, and as for gold, they will not delight in it.
Eka, ho troboheko am’ iareo o nte-Madaio, o tsy mañaom-bolafotio; ndra volamena tsy ifalea’e.
18 Their bows will dash the young men in pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb. Their eyes will not spare children.
Ho trofatrofahem-pale o ajalahio; tsy ho ferenaiña’ iareo ty vokan-koviñe; tsy ho tretrezem-pihaino’e o ajajao.
19 Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans' pride, will be like when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
I Bavele amy zao, i volonahe’ o fifeheañeoy, i fisengea’ o nte-Kasdio fanjakay: le hanahake ty fandrotsahan’Añahare i Sedome naho i Amorà.
20 It will never be inhabited, neither will it be lived in from generation to generation. The Arabian will not pitch a tent there, neither will shepherds make their flocks lie down there.
Le lia’e tsy ho amam-pimoneñe, vaho tsy hañialo ao o tariratse mifandimbeo; tsy hañoren-kivoho eo t’i nte-Arabe, tsy hamahetse goloboñe ao o mpiarakeo.
21 But wild animals of the desert will lie there, and their houses will be full of jackals. Ostriches will dwell there, and wild goats will frolic there.
Toe ho fandrea’ o fanalokeo; ho àtseke ty ontsoñontsoñe o anjomba’ iareoo, himoneñe ao o voron-tsatrañeo, vaho hitsinjake ao o lolo miogogoo.
22 Wolves will cry in their fortresses, and jackals in the pleasant palaces. Her time is near to come, and her days will not be prolonged.
Hañaolo añ’anjomba-hara’ iareo ao o maràmboloo naho o amboa sirasirao an-toe’ iareo fanjakao; fa antitotse ty amotoañañe aze, vaho tsy haesoñe o andro’eo.
