Genesis 24
1 Now Abraham was old, and well advanced in years. The LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.
൧അബ്രാഹാം വയസ്സുചെന്നു വൃദ്ധനായി; യഹോവ അബ്രാഹാമിനെ സകലത്തിലും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരുന്നു.
2 Abraham said to his servant, the elder of his house, who ruled over all that he had, "Please put your hand under my thigh.
൨തന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ മൂപ്പനും തനിക്കുള്ള സമ്പത്തിനൊക്കെയും കാര്യവിചാരകനായ ദാസനോട് അബ്രാഹാം പറഞ്ഞത്: “നിന്റെ കൈ എന്റെ തുടയിൻകീഴിൽ വെക്കുക;
3 I will make you swear by the God of heaven and earth, that you shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I live.
൩ചുറ്റും വസിക്കുന്ന കനാന്യരുടെ കന്യകമാരിൽനിന്നു നീ എന്റെ മകന് ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കാതെ,
4 But you shall go to my country, and to my relatives, and take a wife for my son Isaac."
൪എന്റെ ദേശത്തും എന്റെ കുടുംബക്കാരുടെ അടുക്കലും ചെന്ന് എന്റെ മകനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന് ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കുമെന്ന് സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിനും ഭൂമിക്കും ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെക്കൊണ്ട് സത്യം ചെയ്യിക്കും”.
5 The servant said to him, "What if the woman isn't willing to follow me to this land? Must I then bring your son back to the land from which you came?"
൫ദാസൻ അവനോട്: “പക്ഷേ സ്ത്രീക്ക് എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഈ ദേശത്തേക്ക് വരുവാൻ മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കിലോ? നീ വിട്ടുപോന്ന ദേശത്തേക്ക് ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മകനെ മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകണമോ? എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
6 Abraham said to him, "Be careful that you do not take my son back there.
൬അബ്രാഹാം അവനോട് പറഞ്ഞത്: “എന്റെ മകനെ അവിടേക്കു മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു പോകാതിരിക്കുവാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾക.
7 Now the God of heaven, who took me from my father's house, and from the land of my birth, who spoke to me, and who swore to me, saying, 'I will give this land to your offspring'-- he will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.
൭എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിൽ നിന്നും ജന്മദേശത്തുനിന്നും എന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നവനും എന്നോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തവനും നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്ക് ഞാൻ ഈ ദേശം കൊടുക്കുമെന്ന് എന്നോട് സത്യം ചെയ്തവനുമായി സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്റെ മകന് നീ ഒരു ഭാര്യയെ അവിടെനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻതക്കവണ്ണം നിനക്ക് മുമ്പായി തന്റെ ദൂതനെ അയക്കും.
8 If the woman isn't willing to follow you, then you shall be free from this oath to me. Only you shall not bring my son there again."
൮എന്നാൽ പെൺകുട്ടിക്ക് നിന്നോടുകൂടെ വരുവാൻ മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കിൽ നീ ഈ സത്യത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഒഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും; എന്റെ മകനെ അവിടേക്കു മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുപോവുക മാത്രം അരുത്”.
9 The servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and swore to him concerning this matter.
൯അപ്പോൾ ദാസൻ തന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ തുടയിൻകീഴിൽ കൈവച്ച് ഈ കാര്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അവനോട് സത്യംചെയ്തു.
10 The servant took ten camels, of his master's camels, and departed, having a variety of good things of his master's with him. He arose, and went to Aram Naharaim, to the city of Nahor.
൧൦അനന്തരം ആ ദാസൻ തന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങളിൽ പത്ത് ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെയും യജമാനനുള്ള വിവിധങ്ങളായ വിശേഷവസ്തുക്കളും കൊണ്ട് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ആരാം നഹരായീമില്‍ നാഹോരിന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിൽ ചെന്നു.
11 He made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water at the time of evening, the time that women go out to draw water.
൧൧വൈകുന്നേരം സ്ത്രീകൾ വെള്ളംകോരുവാൻ വരുന്ന സമയത്ത് അവൻ ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെ പട്ടണത്തിന് പുറത്ത് ഒരു കിണറിനരികെ നിർത്തി ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞു:
12 He said, "God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham.
൧൨“എന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, എന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു കൃപ ചെയ്ത് ഇന്നുതന്നെ കാര്യം സാധിപ്പിച്ചുതരണമേ.
13 Look, I am standing by the spring of water. The daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water.
൧൩ഇതാ, ഞാൻ കിണറിനരികെ നില്ക്കുന്നു; ഈ പട്ടണക്കാരുടെ കന്യകമാർ വെള്ളംകോരുവാൻ വരുന്നു.
14 Let it happen, that the young woman to whom I will say, 'Please let down your pitcher, that I may drink,' and she will say, 'Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink,'—let her be the one you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master."
൧൪‘നിന്റെ പാത്രം ഇറക്കി എനിക്ക് കുടിക്കുവാൻ തരണം’ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയുമ്പോൾ: ‘കുടിക്ക; നിന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങൾക്കും കുടിക്കാൻ വെള്ളം ഞാൻ കൊടുക്കാം’ എന്നു പറയുന്ന പെൺകുട്ടി തന്നെ അവിടുന്ന് അവിടുത്തെ ദാസനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന് നിയമിച്ചവളായിരിക്കട്ടെ; അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ യജമാനനോട് കൃപ ചെയ്തു എന്നു ഞാൻ അതിനാൽ ഗ്രഹിക്കും”.
15 It happened, before he had finished speaking, that look, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her pitcher on her shoulder.
൧൫അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു തീരുംമുമ്പെ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ നാഹോരിന്റെ ഭാര്യ മിൽക്കയുടെ മകൻ ബെഥൂവേലിന്റെ മകൾ റിബെക്കാ തോളിൽ പാത്രവുമായി വന്നു.
16 The young woman was very beautiful to look at, a virgin; no man had ever slept with her. She went down to the spring, filled her pitcher, and came up.
൧൬ബാലിക അതിസുന്ദരിയും പുരുഷൻ തൊടാത്ത കന്യകയും ആയിരുന്നു; അവൾ കിണറ്റിൽ ഇറങ്ങി പാത്രത്തിൽ വെള്ളം നിറച്ച് കയറി വന്നു.
17 The servant ran to meet her, and said, "Please give me a drink, a little water from your pitcher."
൧൭ദാസൻ അവളെ കാണുവാനായി ഓടിച്ചെന്നു: “നിന്റെ പാത്രത്തിലെ വെള്ളം കുറച്ച് എനിക്ക് കുടിക്കുവാൻ തരണം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
18 She said, "Drink, my lord." She hurried, and let down her pitcher to her hands, and gave him a drink.
൧൮“യജമാനനേ, കുടിക്ക” എന്ന് അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു വേഗം പാത്രം അവളുടെ തോളിൽനിന്നും താഴ്ത്തി അവന് കുടിക്കുവാൻ കൊടുത്തു.
19 When she had finished giving him drink, she said, "I will also draw for your camels, until they have finished drinking."
൧൯അവന് കുടിക്കുവാൻ കൊടുത്തശേഷം: “അങ്ങയുടെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങൾക്കും വേണ്ടുവോളം ഞാൻ കോരിക്കൊടുക്കാം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു,
20 She hurried, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again to the well to draw, and drew for all his camels.
൨൦പാത്രത്തിലെ വെള്ളം വേഗം തൊട്ടിയിൽ ഒഴിച്ചു, പിന്നെയും കോരിക്കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ കിണറ്റിലേക്ക് ഓടി ഇറങ്ങി അവന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങൾക്കും എല്ലാം കോരിക്കൊടുത്തു.
21 The man looked steadfastly at her, remaining silent, to know whether God had made his journey prosperous or not.
൨൧ആ പുരുഷൻ അവളെ സൂക്ഷിച്ച് നോക്കി, യഹോവ തന്റെ യാത്രയെ സഫലമാക്കിയോ ഇല്ലയോ എന്ന് അറിയേണ്ടതിന് മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.
22 It happened, as the camels had finished drinking, that the man took a gold ring weighing a beka, which he put on her nose, and two bracelets for her hands weighing ten [shekels] of gold,
൨൨ഒട്ടകങ്ങൾ കുടിച്ചു തീർന്നപ്പോൾ അവൻ അര ശേക്കെൽ തൂക്കമുള്ള ഒരു പൊന്മൂക്കുത്തിയും അവളുടെ കൈയ്യിലിടുവാൻ പത്തുശേക്കെൽ തൂക്കമുള്ള രണ്ടു പൊൻവളയും എടുത്ത് അവളോട്:
23 and said, "Whose daughter are you? Please tell me. Is there room in your father's house for us to lodge in?"
൨൩“നീ ആരുടെ മകൾ? പറയുക; നിന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു രാത്രിയിൽ വിശ്രമിക്കുവാൻ സ്ഥലമുണ്ടോ? എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
24 She said to him, "I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, whom she bore to Nahor."
൨൪അവൾ അവനോട്: “നാഹോരിന് മിൽക്കാ പ്രസവിച്ച മകനായ ബെഥൂവേലിന്റെ മകൾ ആകുന്നു ഞാൻ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
25 She said moreover to him, "We have plenty of straw and feed, and room to lodge in."
൨൫“ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് വയ്ക്കോലും വേണ്ടുവോളം ഉണ്ട്; രാപാർക്കുവാൻ സ്ഥലവും ഉണ്ട്” എന്നും അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു.
26 The man bowed his head, and worshiped God.
൨൬അപ്പോൾ ആ പുരുഷൻ കുനിഞ്ഞു യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു:
27 He said, "Blessed be the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his loving kindness and his truth toward my master. As for me, he has led me on the journey to the house of my master's relatives."
൨൭“എന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ; അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ യജമാനനോടുള്ള ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. ഈ യാത്രയിൽ യഹോവ എന്നെ എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നുവല്ലോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
28 The young woman ran, and told her mother's house about these words.
൨൮ബാലിക ഓടിച്ചെന്ന് അമ്മയുടെ വീട്ടുകാരെ ഈ കാര്യങ്ങൾ അറിയിച്ചു.
29 Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban. Laban ran out to the man, to the spring.
൨൯റിബെക്കായ്ക്ക് ഒരു സഹോദരൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന് ലാബാൻ എന്നു പേർ. ലാബാൻ പുറത്തു കിണറിനരികെ ആ പുരുഷന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു.
30 It happened, when he saw the nose ring, and the bracelets on his sister's hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, "This is what the man said to me," that he came to the man. Look, he was standing by the camels at the spring.
൩൦അവൻ മൂക്കുത്തിയും സഹോദരിയുടെ കൈയ്യിൽ വളകളും കാണുകയും “ആ പുരുഷൻ ഇപ്രകാരം എന്നോട് പറഞ്ഞു” എന്ന് തന്റെ സഹോദരിയായ റിബെക്കയുടെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ ആ പുരുഷന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു; അവൻ കിണറിനരികെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങളുടെ സമീപത്ത് നിൽക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
31 He said, "Come in, you blessed of God. Why do you stand outside? For I have prepared the house, and room for the camels."
൩൧അപ്പോൾ ലാബാൻ: “യഹോവയാൽ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനേ, അകത്ത് വരുക; എന്തിന് പുറത്തു നില്ക്കുന്നു? വീടും ഒട്ടകങ്ങൾക്കു സ്ഥലവും ഞാൻ ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
32 The man came into the house, and he unloaded the camels. He gave straw and feed for the camels, and water to wash his feet and the feet of the men who were with him.
൩൨അങ്ങനെ ആ പുരുഷൻ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നു. അവൻ ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെ കോപ്പഴിച്ചു ഒട്ടകങ്ങൾക്ക് വയ്ക്കോലും അവനും കൂടെയുള്ളവർക്കും കാൽ കഴുകുവാൻ വെള്ളവും കൊടുത്തു. അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഭക്ഷണം വച്ചു.
33 Food was set before him to eat, but he said, "I will not eat until I have told my message." He said, "Speak on."
൩൩എന്നാൽ അവൻ: “ഞാൻ വന്ന കാര്യം അറിയിക്കും മുമ്പെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കുകയില്ല” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. “പറക” എന്ന് ലാബാനും പറഞ്ഞു.
34 He said, "I am Abraham's servant.
൩൪അപ്പോൾ അവൻ പറഞ്ഞത്: “ഞാൻ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദാസൻ.
35 The Lord has blessed my master greatly. He has become great. He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male servants and female servants, and camels and donkeys.
൩൫യഹോവ എന്റെ യജമാനനെ ഏറ്റവും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു; അവൻ മഹാനായിത്തീർന്നു; യഹോവ അവന് ആട്, മാട്, പൊന്ന്, വെള്ളി, ദാസീദാസന്മാർ, ഒട്ടകങ്ങൾ, കഴുതകൾ എന്നിവയൊക്കെയും കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
36 Sarah, my master's wife, bore a son to my master when she was old. He has given all that he has to him.
൩൬എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറാ വൃദ്ധയായപ്പോൾ എന്റെ യജമാനന് ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു; അവൻ സർവ്വതും അവന് കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
37 My master made me swear, saying, 'You shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I live,
൩൭‘ഞാൻ പാർക്കുന്ന കനാൻദേശത്തിലെ കനാന്യകന്യകമാരിൽനിന്നു നീ എന്റെ മകനു ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കാതെ,
38 but you shall go to my father's house, and to my relatives, and take a wife for my son.'
൩൮എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിലും കുടുംബക്കാരുടെ അടുക്കലും ചെന്ന് എന്റെ മകനു ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കണം’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് എന്റെ യജമാനൻ എന്നെക്കൊണ്ട് സത്യംചെയ്യിച്ചു.
39 I said to my master, 'What if the woman will not follow me?'
൩൯ഞാൻ എന്റെ യജമാനനോട്: ‘പക്ഷേ സ്ത്രീ എന്നോടുകൂടെ പോരുന്നില്ലെങ്കിലോ’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന് യജമാനൻ എന്നോട്:
40 He said to me, 'God, before whom I walk, will send his angel with you, and prosper your journey. You shall take a wife for my son of my relatives, and of my father's house.
൪൦‘ഞാൻ സേവിച്ചുപോരുന്ന യഹോവ തന്റെ ദൂതനെ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ അയച്ച്, നീ എന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിൽനിന്നും പിതൃഭവനത്തിൽ നിന്നും എന്റെ മകനു ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ യാത്രയെ സഫലമാക്കും;
41 Then will you be free from my oath, when you come to my relatives. If they do not give her to you, you shall be free from my oath.'
൪൧എന്റെ കുടുംബക്കാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നാൽ നീ ഈ സത്യത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഒഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും; അവർ ബാലികയെ നിനക്ക് തന്നില്ല എന്നുവന്നാലും നീ ഈ സത്യത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഒഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
42 I came this day to the spring, and said, 'God of my master Abraham, if now you will prosper my journey in which I go—
൪൨ഞാൻ ഇന്ന് കിണറിനരികെ വന്നപ്പോൾ പറഞ്ഞത്: ‘എന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ യാത്രയെ നീ സഫലമാക്കി എങ്കിൽ
43 look, I am standing by this spring of water. Let it happen, that the virgin who comes out to draw, to whom I will say, "Please give me a little water from your pitcher to drink,"
൪൩ഇതാ, ഞാൻ കിണറിനരികെ നില്ക്കുന്നു; വെള്ളംകോരുവാൻ ഒരു കന്യക വരികയും ഞാൻ അവളോട്: “നിന്റെ പാത്രത്തിലെ വെള്ളം കുറച്ച് എനിക്ക് കുടിക്കുവാൻ തരിക” എന്നു പറയുമ്പോൾ,
44 and she will tell me, "Drink, and I will also draw for your camels,"—let her be the woman who has been appointed for my master's son.'
൪൪അവൾ എന്നോട്: “കുടിച്ചാലും, ഞാൻ അങ്ങയുടെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങൾക്കും കോരി കൊടുക്കാം” എന്നു പറയുകയും ചെയ്താൽ അവൾ തന്നെ യഹോവ എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ മകനു നിയമിച്ച മണവാട്ടിയായിരിക്കട്ടെ.
45 Before I had done speaking in my heart, look, Rebekah came out with her pitcher on her shoulder. She went down to the spring, and drew. I said to her, 'Please give me a drink.'
൪൫ഞാൻ ഇങ്ങനെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞു തീരുംമുമ്പ് ഇതാ, റിബെക്കാ തോളിൽ പാത്രവുമായി വന്നു കിണറ്റിൽ ഇറങ്ങി വെള്ളംകോരി; ഞാൻ അവളോട്: ‘എനിക്ക് കുടിക്കുവാൻ വെള്ളം തരേണം’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
46 She hurried and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, 'Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink.' So I drank, and she made the camels drink also.
൪൬അവൾ വേഗം തോളിൽനിന്നു പാത്രം താഴ്ത്തി: ‘കുടിക്കുക, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങൾക്കും കുടിക്കുവാൻ കൊടുക്കാം’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ കുടിച്ചു; അവൾ ഒട്ടകങ്ങൾക്കും കുടിക്കുവാൻ വെള്ളം കൊടുത്തു.
47 I asked her, and said, 'Whose daughter are you?' She said, 'The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bore to him.' I put the ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her hands.
൪൭ഞാൻ അവളോട്: ‘നീ ആരുടെ മകൾ’ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന് അവൾ: ‘മിൽക്കാ നാഹോരിനു പ്രസവിച്ച മകനായ ബെഥൂവേലിന്റെ മകൾ’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാൻ അവളുടെ മൂക്കിനു മൂക്കുത്തിയും കൈകൾക്കു വളയും ഇട്ടു.
48 I bowed my head, and worshiped God, and blessed the God of my master Abraham, who had led me in the right way to take the granddaughter of my master's brother for his son.
൪൮ഞാൻ കുനിഞ്ഞു യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു, എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ സഹോദരന്റെ മകളെ അവന്റെ മകനുവേണ്ടി എടുക്കുവാൻ എന്നെ നേർവ്വഴിക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നവനായ എന്റെ യജമാനൻ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.
49 Now if you will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me. If not, tell me, that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left."
൪൯ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ യജമാനനോടു ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയും കാണിക്കുമെങ്കിൽ എന്നോട് പറയുവിൻ; അല്ല എന്നു വരികിൽ അതും പറയുവിൻ; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഇടത്തോട്ടോ വലത്തോട്ടോ തിരിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളാം”.
50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered, "The thing proceeds from God. We can't speak to you bad or good.
൫൦അപ്പോൾ ലാബാനും ബെഥൂവേലും: “ഈ കാര്യം യഹോവയാൽ വരുന്നു; നിന്നോട് ഗുണമെങ്കിലും ദോഷമെങ്കിലും പറയുവാൻ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു കഴിയുകയില്ല.
51 Look, Rebekah is before you. Take, and go, and let her be the wife of your master's son, as God has spoken."

52 It happened that when Abraham's servant heard their words, he bowed himself down to the ground.

53 The servant brought out articles of silver and articles of gold, and clothing, and gave them to Rebekah. He also gave valuable gifts to her brother and her mother.
൫൩പിന്നെ ദാസൻ വെള്ളിയാഭരണങ്ങളും പൊന്നാഭരണങ്ങളും വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും എടുത്തു റിബെക്കായ്ക്കു കൊടുത്തു; അവളുടെ സഹോദരനും അമ്മയ്ക്കും വിശേഷവസ്തുക്കൾ കൊടുത്തു.
54 They ate and drank, he and the men who were with him, and stayed all night. They rose up in the morning, and he said, "Send me away to my master."
൫൪അവനും കൂടെയുള്ളവരും ഭക്ഷിച്ചു പാനംചെയ്തു രാപാർത്തു. രാവിലെ അവർ എഴുന്നേറ്റശേഷം അവൻ: “എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എന്നെ അയക്കേണം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
55 Her brother and her mother said, "Let the young woman stay with us a few days, at least ten. After that she will go."

56 He said to them, "Do not hinder me, seeing that he has prospered my journey. Send me away that I may go to my master."
൫൬അവൻ അവരോട്: “എന്നെ താമസിപ്പിക്കരുതേ; യഹോവ എന്റെ യാത്ര സഫലമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; യജമാനന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോകുവാൻ എന്നെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കണം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
57 They said, "We will call the young woman, and ask her."
൫൭“ഞങ്ങൾ ബാലികയെ വിളിച്ചു അവളോടു ചോദിക്കട്ടെ” എന്ന് അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.
58 They called Rebekah, and said to her, "Will you go with this man?" She said, "I will go."
൫൮അവർ റിബെക്കയെ വിളിച്ച് അവളോട്: “നീ ഈ പുരുഷനോടുകൂടെ പോകുന്നുവോ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. “ഞാൻ പോകുന്നു” എന്ന് അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു.
59 They sent away Rebekah, their sister, with her nurse, Abraham's servant, and his men.
൫൯അങ്ങനെ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരിയായ റിബെക്കയെയും അവളുടെ പരിചാരികയെയും അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദാസനെയും അവന്റെ ആളുകളെയും പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.
60 They blessed Rebekah, and said to her, "Our sister, may you be the mother of thousands of ten thousands, and let your descendants possess the gate of those who hate them."
൬൦അവർ റിബെക്കയെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളോട്: “സഹോദരീ, നീ ആയിരം പതിനായിരങ്ങളുടെ അമ്മയായി തീരുക; നിന്റെ സന്തതികൾ, അവരെ വെറുക്കുന്നവരുടെ പടിവാതിൽ കൈവശമാക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
61 Rebekah arose with her female servants. They rode on the camels, and followed the man. The servant took Rebekah, and went his way.
൬൧പിന്നെ റിബെക്കായും അവളുടെ ദാസിമാരും എഴുന്നേറ്റ് ഒട്ടകപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ആ പുരുഷനോടുകൂടെ പോയി; അങ്ങനെ ദാസൻ റിബെക്കയെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
62 Isaac came from the way of Beer Lahai Roi, for he lived in the land of the Negev.
൬൨എന്നാൽ യിസ്ഹാക്ക് ബേർലഹയിരോയീവരെ വന്നു; അവൻ തെക്കേദേശത്തു പാർക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
63 Isaac went out to walk in the field at the evening. He lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, look, there were camels coming.
൬൩വൈകുന്നേരത്തു യിസ്ഹാക്ക് ധ്യാനിക്കുവാൻ വിജനസ്ഥലത്തു പോയിരുന്നു; അവൻ തലപൊക്കി നോക്കി ഒട്ടകങ്ങൾ വരുന്നത് കണ്ടു.
64 Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she dismounted from the camel.
൬൪റിബെക്കായും തലപൊക്കി യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെ കണ്ടിട്ട് ഒട്ടകപ്പുറത്തുനിന്ന് ഇറങ്ങി.
65 She said to the servant, "Who is the man who is walking in the field to meet us?" The servant said, "It is my master." She took her veil, and covered herself.
൬൫അവൾ ദാസനോട്: “വിജനസ്ഥലത്തു നമ്മെ എതിരേറ്റു വരുന്ന പുരുഷൻ ആര്” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന് “എന്റെ യജമാനൻ തന്നെ” എന്നു ദാസൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ അവൾ ഒരു മൂടുപടം എടുത്തു തന്നെ മൂടി.
66 The servant told Isaac all the things that he had done.
൬൬താൻ ചെയ്ത കാര്യം ഒക്കെയും ദാസൻ യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടു വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
67 Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife. He loved her. Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.
൬൭യിസ്ഹാക്ക് അവളെ തന്റെ അമ്മയായ സാറയുടെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി. അവൻ റിബെക്കയെ സ്വീകരിച്ചു അവൾ അവന് ഭാര്യയായിത്തീർന്നു; അവൻ അവളെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു. ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്ഹാക്കിനു തന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ മരണദുഃഖത്തിന് ആശ്വാസം ലഭിച്ചു.
