1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah and of Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood.

2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

3 The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
Gomer ƒe viŋutsuwoe nye: Askenaz, Rifat kple Togarma.
4 The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.
Yavan ƒe viŋutsuwoe nye: Elisa, Tarsis, Kititɔwo kple Dodanitɔwo.
5 From these, the coastlands of the nations separated into their territories, every one according to its language, according to their families, in their nations.

6 The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
Ham ƒe viŋutsuwoe nye: Kus, Egipte, Put kple Kanaan.
7 The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

8 Cush became the father of Nimrod. He began to be a mighty one on the earth.

9 He was a mighty hunter before God. Therefore it is said, "Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before God."

10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Akkad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

11 Out of that land he went forth into Assyria, and built Nineveh, and Rehoboth Ir, and Calah,

12 and Resen, between Nineveh and the great city of Calah.

15 And Canaan became the father of Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth,
Kanaan ƒe viwo dometɔ aɖewoe nye: Sidon, ame si nye eƒe ŋgɔgbevi kple Het.
16 and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, and the Girgashites,
Kanaan ƒe dzidzimeviwoe nye: Yebusitɔwo, Amoritɔwo, Girgasitɔwo,
17 and the Hivites, and the Arkites, and the Sinites,
Hivitɔwo, Arkitɔwo, Sinitɔwo,
18 and the Arvadites, and the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward the families of the Canaanites were spread abroad.

19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as you go toward Gerar, to Gaza; as you go toward Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboiim, to Lasha.

20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their languages, in their lands, in their nations.

21 To Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, to him also were children born.
Sem, ame si nye Yafet nɔvi tsitsitɔ ƒe vie nye Eber.
22 The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
Sem ƒe dzidzimeviwoe nye: Elam, Asur, Arfaxad, Lud kple Aram.
23 The sons of Aram: Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
Aram ƒe dzizimeviwoe nye: Uz, Hul, Geter kple Mas.
24 And Arpachshad became the father of Kenan. And Kenan became the father of Shelah. And Shelah became the father of Eber.
Arfaxad ƒe vie nye Sela, ame si dzi Eber.
25 To Eber were born two sons. The name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided. His brother's name was Joktan.

26 And Joktan became the father of Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

27 and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
Hadoram, Uzal, Dikla,
28 and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
Obal, Abimael, Seba,
29 and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

30 Their dwelling was from Mesha, as you go toward Sephar, the mountain of the east.

31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their languages, in their lands, after their nations.
Ame siawoe nye Sem ƒe dzidzimeviwo. Woɖo wo ɖe woƒe dukɔwo, gbegbɔgblɔwo kple woƒe nɔƒewo nu.
32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations, and from these the nations branched out on the earth after the flood.
Ame siwo katã woyɔ va yi la nye Noa ƒe dzidzimeviwo, to dzidzime geɖewo me, eye wonɔ dukɔ vovovo siwo dzɔ le tsiɖɔɖɔ megbe la me.
