< Ephesians 1 >
1 Paul, an emissary of Messiah Yeshua through the will of God, to the kadoshim (in Ephesus) who are faithful in Messiah Yeshua:
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints that are in Ephesus, and the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
grace be to you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Messiah;
Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly things in Christ,
4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without blemish before him in love;
according as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him in love,
5 having predestined us for adoption as sons through Yeshua the Messiah to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire,
having predestinated us for adoption to himself through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved One,
for the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he has shown us favor in the Beloved,
7 in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the remission of sins, according to the riches of his grace,
8 which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,
which he has made to abound to us in all wisdom and understanding,
9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him
by making known to us the mystery of his will according to his good purpose which he had before established in himself,
10 to an administration of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things in Messiah, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, in him;
for a dispensation at the fullness of the times, in order that he might bring together for himself all things in the Christ, both those which are in the heavens, and those which are on earth;
11 in whom also we were assigned an inheritance, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his will;
in him in whom we have obtained our portion, having been predestinated according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,
12 to the end that we should be to the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Messiah:
that we should be for the praise of his glory; even we, who before had hope in the Christ:
13 in whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good News of your salvation, —in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the Ruach ha-Kodesh of promise,
in whom you also hoped after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom, after you also believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14 who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of his glory.
which is the earnest of our inheritance, given for the redemption of his possession to the praise of his glory.
15 For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Yeshua which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the kadoshim,
For this reason I also, since I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and your love to all the saints,
16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,
do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,
17 that the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the acknowledgment of him,
18 having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the kadoshim,
that, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the glorious riches of his inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might
and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to ward us who believe in accordance with the energy of his mighty power,
20 which he worked in Messiah, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places,
which he made active in the Christ when he raised him from the dead, and caused him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places,
21 far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. (aiōn )
high above every principality and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come; (aiōn )
22 He put all things under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things for the congregation,
and subjected all things under his feet, and made him head over all things for the church,
23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all his members with all things,
