Ephesians 5
1 Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.
Bodite torej Božji posnemovalci, kakor ljubljeni otroci
2 And walk in love, even as Messiah also loved us, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
in živite v ljubezni, kakor nas je tudi Kristus ljubil in dal samega sebe za nas kot daritev in žrtev Bogu v blagodišeč vonj.
3 But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes kadoshim;
Toda prešuštvovanje in vse nečistosti ali pohlepnosti naj ne bodo niti enkrat omenjene med vami, kakor se spodobi svetim;
4 nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate; but rather giving of thanks.
niti umazanost, niti nespametno govorjenje, niti šaljiva vulgarnost, ki niso primerne, temveč rajši zahvaljevanje.
5 Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, that is, an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Messiah and God.
Kajti to veste, da ne vlačugar ne nečista oseba niti pohlepnež, ki je malikovalec, nima nobene dediščine v Kristusovem in Božjem kraljestvu.
6 Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
Naj vas noben človek ne vara s praznimi besedami, kajti zaradi teh stvari prihaja Božji bes na otroke neposlušnosti.
7 Therefore do not be partakers with them.
Ne bodite torej udeleženci z njimi.
8 For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,
Kajti včasih ste bili tema, toda sedaj ste svetloba v Gospodu. Živite kot otroci svetlobe,
9 for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,
(kajti sad Duha je v vsej dobroti in pravičnosti ter resnici)
10 proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.
in preizkušajte, kaj je sprejemljivo Gospodu.
11 Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.
In ne imejte družbe z brezplodnimi deli teme, temveč jih raje grajajte.
12 For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of.
Kajti sramota je celó govoriti o teh stvareh, ki so po njih storjene na skrivnem.
13 But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light.
Toda vse stvari, ki so pograjane, so razodete po svetlobi; kajti karkoli razodeva je svetloba.
14 Therefore he says, "Awake, you who sleep, and rise from the dead, and Messiah will shine on you."
Zatorej on pravi: ›Prebúdi se ti, ki spiš in vstani od mrtvih in Kristus ti bo dal svetlobo.‹
15 Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise;
Glejte torej, da živite preudarno, ne kakor bedaki, temveč kakor modri.
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Izkoristite čas, kajti dnevi so hudi.
17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Zatorej ne bodite nemodri, temveč razumevajte, kaj je Gospodova volja.
18 Do not get drunk with wine, which is debauchery, but be filled with the Ruach,
In ne bodite opiti z vinom, v čemer je izgred, temveč bodite napolnjeni z Duhom.
19 speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music in your heart to the Lord;
Nagovarjajte se s psalmi in hvalnicami ter duhovnimi pesmimi, prepevajte in v svojem srcu skladajte napeve Gospodu.
20 giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah to God the Father;
Vedno se zahvaljujte Bogu in Očetu v imenu našega Gospoda Jezusa Kristusa za vse stvari.
21 subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Messiah.
Drug drugemu se podrejajte v strahu Božjem.
22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
Žene, podredite se svojim lastnim soprogom kakor Gospodu.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, and Messiah also is the head of the congregation, being himself the savior of the body.
Kajti soprog je glava ženi, kakor je tudi Kristus glava cerkvi; in on je rešitelj telesa.
24 But as the congregation is subject to Messiah, so let the wives also be to their husbands in everything.
Torej kakor je cerkev podrejena Kristusu, tako naj bodo v vsaki stvari žene svojim lastnim soprogom.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Messiah also loved the congregation, and gave himself up for it;
Soprogi, ljubite svoje žene, prav tako kakor je tudi Kristus ljubil cerkev in dal zanjo samega sebe,
26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,
da bi jo lahko posvetil in očistil z vodnim izpiranjem po besedi,
27 that he might present the congregation to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
da bi lahko sebi predstavil krasno cerkev, ki nima madeža ali gube ali katerekoli takšne stvari, temveč da bi bila sveta in brez pomanjkljivosti.
28 Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.
Tako so možje dolžni ljubiti svoje žene kakor svoja lastna telesa. Kdor ljubi svojo ženo, ljubi sebe.
29 For no one ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Messiah also does the congregation;
Kajti še nikoli ni noben človek sovražil svojega lastnega mesa, temveč ga hrani in neguje, kakor Gospod cerkev;
30 because we are members of his body, of his flesh and of his bones.
kajti mi smo udje njegovega telesa, iz njegovega mesa in iz njegovih kosti.
31 "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."
Zaradi tega razloga bo mož zapustil svojega očeta in mater in bo pridružen k svoji ženi in ona dva bosta eno meso.
32 This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Messiah and of the congregation.
To je velika skrivnost, vendar jaz govorim glede Kristusa in cerkve.
33 Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
Vseeno naj vsak izmed vas še posebej ljubi svojo ženo, celo kakor samega sebe; in žena [naj] gleda, da spoštuje svojega soproga.
