Deuteronomy 29

1 These are the words of the covenant which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.

۱ این است کلمات عهدی که خداوند درزمین موآب به موسی‌امر فرمود که بابنی‌اسرائیل ببندد، سوای آن عهد که با ایشان درحوریب بسته بود.

2 Moses called to all Israel, and said to them, You have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land;

۲ و موسی تمامی اسرائیل را خطاب کرده، به ایشان گفت: «هر‌آنچه خداوند در زمین مصر بافرعون و جمیع بندگانش و تمامی زمینش عمل نمود، شما دیده‌اید.

3 the great trials which your eyes saw, the signs, and those great wonders:

۳ تجربه های عظیم که چشمان تو دید و آیات و آن معجزات عظیم.

4 but the LORD has not given you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, to this day.

۴ اماخداوند دلی را که بدانید و چشمانی را که ببینید وگوشهایی را که بشنوید تا امروز به شما نداده است.

5 I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your shoes have not worn out on your feet.

۵ و شما را چهل سال در بیابان رهبری نمودم که لباس شما مندرس نگردید، و کفشها درپای شما پاره نشد.

6 You have not eaten bread, neither have you drunk wine or strong drink; that you may know that I am the LORD your God.

۶ نان نخورده و شراب ومسکرت ننوشیده‌اید، تا بدانید که من یهوه خدای شما هستم.

7 When you came to this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us to battle, and we struck them:

۷ و چون به اینجا رسیدید، سیحون، ملک حشبون، و عوج، ملک باشان، به مقابله شمابرای جنگ بیرون آمدند و آنها را مغلوب ساختیم.

8 and we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half-tribe of the Manassites.

۸ و زمین ایشان را گرفته، به روبینیان وجادیان و نصف سبط منسی به ملکیت دادیم.

9 Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.

۹ پس کلمات این عهد را نگاه داشته، بجا آورید تا در هر‌چه کنید کامیاب شوید.

10 You stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your heads, your tribes, your elders, and your officers, even all the men of Israel,

۱۰ «امروز جمیع شما به حضور یهوه، خدای خود حاضرید، یعنی روسای شما و اسباط شما ومشایخ شما و سروران شما و جمیع مردان اسرائیل.

11 your little ones, your wives, and your foreigner who is in the midst of your camps, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who draws your water;

۱۱ و اطفال و زنان شما و غریبی که درمیان اردوی شماست از هیزم شکنان تا آب کشان شما.

12 that you may enter into the covenant of the LORD your God, and into his oath, which the LORD your God makes with you this day,

۱۲ تا در عهد یهوه خدایت و سوگند او که یهوه خدایت امروز با تو استوار می‌سازد، داخل شوی.

13 so that he may establish you today as his people, and that he may your God, as he spoke to you and as he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

۱۳ تا تو را امروز برای خود قومی برقراردارد، و او خدای تو باشد چنانکه به تو گفته است، و چنانکه برای پدرانت، ابراهیم و اسحاق ویعقوب، قسم خورده است.

14 Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath,

۱۴ و من این عهد و این قسم را با شما تنها استوار نمی نمایم.

15 but with him who stands here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him who is not here with us this day

۱۵ بلکه باآنانی که امروز با ما به حضور یهوه خدای ما دراینجا حاضرند، و هم با آنانی که امروز با ما دراینجا حاضر نیستند.

16 (for you know how we lived in the land of Egypt, and how we came through the midst of the nations through which you passed;

۱۶ زیرا شما می‌دانید که چگونه در زمین مصر سکونت داشتیم، و چگونه از میان امتهایی که عبور نمودید، گذشتیم.

17 and you have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them);

۱۷ ورجاسات و بتهای ایشان را از چوب و سنگ ونقره و طلا که در میان ایشان بود، دیدید.

18 lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turns away this day from the LORD our God, to go to serve the gods of those nations; lest there should be among you a root that bears gall and wormwood;

۱۸ تا درمیان شما مرد یا زن یا قبیله یا سبطی نباشد که دلش امروز از یهوه خدای ما منحرف گشته، برودو خدایان این طوایف را عبادت نماید، مبادا درمیان شما ریشه‌ای باشد که حنظل و افسنتین بارآورد.

19 and it happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, "I shall have peace, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart, to destroy the moist with the dry."

۱۹ «و مبادا چون سخنان این لعنت را بشنود دردلش خویشتن را برکت داده، گوید: هر‌چند درسختی دل خود سلوک می‌نمایم تا سیراب و تشنه را با هم هلاک سازم، مرا سلامتی خواهد بود.

20 God will not be willing to forgive him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy will burn against that man, and every curse that is written in this book shall rest on him, and the LORD will blot out his name from under heaven.

۲۰ خداوند او را نخواهد آمرزید، بلکه در آن وقت خشم و غیرت خداوند بر آن شخص دودافشان خواهد شد، و تمامی لعنتی که در این کتاب مکتوب است، بر آن کس نازل خواهد شد، و خداوند نام او را از زیر آسمان محو خواهدساخت.

21 The LORD will set him apart to evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that is written in this book of the law.

۲۱ و خداوند او را از جمیع اسباطاسرائیل برای بدی جدا خواهد ساخت، موافق جمیع لعنتهای عهدی که در این طومار شریعت مکتوب است.

22 The generation to come, your children who shall rise up after you, and the foreigner who shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses with which the LORD has made it sick;

۲۲ و طبقه آینده یعنی فرزندان شما که بعد از شما خواهند برخاست، و غریبانی که از زمین دور می‌آیند، خواهند گفت: هنگامی که بلایای این زمین و بیماریهایی که خداوند به آن می‌رساند ببینند.

23 and that the whole land of it is sulfur, salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor bears, nor any grass grows in it, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:

۲۳ و تمامی زمین آن را که کبریت و شوره و آتش شده، نه کاشته می‌شود و نه حاصل می‌روید و هیچ علف در آن نمو نمی کندو مثل انقلاب سدوم و عموره و ادمه صبوئیم که خداوند در غضب و خشم خود آنها را واژگون ساخت، گشته است.

24 even all the nations shall say, "Why has the LORD done thus to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?"

۲۴ پس جمیع امتها خواهندگفت: چرا خداوند با این زمین چنین کرده است وشدت این خشم عظیم از چه سبب است؟

25 Then men shall say, "Because they forsook the covenant of the LORD, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt,

۲۵ آنگاه خواهند گفت: از این جهت که عهد یهوه خدای پدران خود را که به وقت بیرون آوردن ایشان از زمین مصر با ایشان بسته بود، ترک کردند.

26 and went and served other gods, and worshiped them, gods that they did not know, and that he had not given to them:

۲۶ و رفته، خدایان غیر را عبادت نموده، به آنهاسجده کردند، خدایانی را که نشناخته بودند وقسمت ایشان نساخته بود.

27 therefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring on it all the curse that is written in this book;

۲۷ پس خشم خداوندبر این زمین افروخته شده، تمامی لعنت را که دراین کتاب مکتوب است، بر آن آورد.

28 and the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as at this day."

۲۸ و خداوندریشه ایشان را به غضب و خشم و غیض عظیم، اززمین ایشان کند و به زمین دیگر انداخت، چنانکه امروز شده است.

29 The secret things belong to the LORD our God; but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

۲۹ چیزهای مخفی از آن یهوه خدای ماست و اما چیزهای مکشوف تا به ابد ازآن ما و فرزندان ما است، تا جمیع کلمات این شریعت را به عمل آوریم.
