< 2 Corinthians 2 >

1 For I determined this for myself, that I would not come to you again in sorrow.
Taani nam77antho hintteko biikke gada qofa qachchiday hinttena azzanthonna agganaassa.
2 For if I make you sorry, then who will make me glad but he who is made sorry by me?
Taani hinttena azzanthikokka ta azzanthida hinttefe hari tana ufayssanaw de7ey oonee?
3 And I wrote this very thing, so that, when I came, I would not have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy would be shared by all of you.
Taani hinttew he dabddaabbiya xaafiday, ta hinttena be7anaw biya wode tana ufayssanaw bessiya asan ta azzananaw koyonna gishossa. Ta ufayttiya wode hintte ubbayka ufayttanayssa ta ammanays.
4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears, not that you should be made sorry, but that you might know the love that I have so abundantly for you.
Taani daro waayeninne un77an qassi daro afuthan xaafiday, hinttena azzanthanaassa gidonnashin, taani hinttena ubbaa ay mela dosiyakko hinttena erisana melassa.
5 But if any has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow, not to me, but in part (that I not press too heavily) to you all.
Ase azzanthida oonikka de7ikko ta iya balaa darssanaw koyikkefe attin tana gidonnashin, hinttefe darota azzanthis.
6 Sufficient to such a one is this punishment which was inflicted by the many;
Hinttefe dariya asay he uraa seerida seeray iyaw gidana.
7 so that on the contrary you should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his excessive sorrow.
Hessa gisho, he uray daro azzanidi, ufayssi qanxonna mela hintte iya maaranawunne minthethanaw bessees.
8 Therefore I urge you to confirm your love toward him.
Hintte iya siiqeyssa zaari iyaw qonccisana mela ta hinttena woossays.
9 For to this end I also wrote, that I might know the proof of you, whether you are obedient in all things.
Ta he dabddaabbiya hinttew xaafiday, hintte paacettidi, ubbaban taw kiitettiyako eranaw koyida gishossa.
10 Now I also forgive whomever you forgive anything. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Messiah,
Hintte maariya uraa takka maarana. Taani maaranabay aybi de7ikkoka, Kiristtoosa sinthan hintte gisho gada maaras.
11 that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.
Taani hessa oothiday Xalahiya cimo oosuwa nu eriya gisho, xalahen cimettonna attana melassa.
12 Now when I came to Troas for the Good News of Messiah, and when a door was opened to me in the Lord,
Taani Kiristtoosa Wonggelaa sabbakanaw Xiro7aada bida wode, Goday yan taw ooso oge giigisidi wothis.
13 I had no relief for my spirit, because I did not find Titus, my brother, but taking my leave of them, I went out into Macedonia.
Shin taani ta ishaa Tito yan demmaboonna gisho ta wozanay shemppibeenna. Hessa gisho, yan de7iya asaa sarothada iya koyanaw Maqedooniya bas.
14 Now thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Messiah, and reveals through us the sweet aroma of his knowledge in every place.
Shin Kiristtoosa baggara ubba wode nuna xoonon kaalethiyanne shitto mela sawiya Kiristtoosabaa nu eriya timirttiya ubba bessi gathana mela oothiya Xoossaa galati gakko.
15 For we are a sweet aroma of Messiah to God, in those who are saved, and in those who perish;
Nuuni attiyaa asaa giddoninne dhayiya asaa giddon Kiristtoosa baggara Xoossaas imettida sawiya shitto mela.
16 to the one a stench from death to death; to the other a sweet aroma from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?
Dhayiya asaas hayqqoko efiya hayqo peeno; qassi attiyaa asaas de7okko efiya de7o sawo; yaatin, hessa mela oosuwas gidanay oonee?
17 For we are not, like so many, peddling the word of God. But as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, we speak in Messiah.
Nuuni Xoossaa qaala wodhe demmanaw koyidi walakkidi zal77iya daro asaa mela gidokko. Shin Xoossay kiittida suure asata mela Kiristtoosan de7idi Xoossaa sinthan qaala odoos.
