1 Thessalonians 1
1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the congregation of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah: Grace to you and peace.
Pablo, Silvano y Timoteo, a la iglesia de los tesalonicenses en Dios el Padre y en el Señor Jesucristo: Gracia y paz a ustedes.
2 We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers,
Alabamos a Dios en todo momento por ustedes, manteniéndolos en la memoria en nuestras oraciones;
3 remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, before our God and Father.
Teniendo siempre en mente su obra de fe y actos de amor y la fuerza de su esperanza en nuestro Señor Jesucristo, ante nuestro Dios y Padre;
4 We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,
Sabemos, mis hermanos, queridos por Dios, que han sido marcados por el propósito de Dios;
5 and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Ruach ha-Kodesh, and with much assurance. You know what kind of persons we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.
Porque nuestras buenas noticias vinieron a ustedes, no solo con palabras, sino con poder y en el Espíritu Santo, y en plena certidumbre; incluso cuando vieron cómo nos comportamos entre ustedes por amor a ustedes.
6 You became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Ruach ha-Kodesh,
Y nos tomaron a nosotros y al Señor como su ejemplo, después de que la palabra llegará a ustedes en gran tribulación, con gozo en el Espíritu Santo;
7 so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.
Para que se convirtieran en un ejemplo para todos aquellos que tienen fe en Cristo en Macedonia y Acaya.
8 For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out; so that we do not need to say anything.
Porque no solo la palabra del Señor fue divulgada en Macedonia y Acaya, sino que en todo lugar está clara su fe en Dios; de modo que nosotros no tengamos que decir nada.
9 For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you; and how you turned to God from idols, to serve a living and true God,
Porque ellos mismos dan la noticia de cómo nos recibieron; y cómo fueron transformados de los ídolos a la imagen de Dios, a la adoración de un Dios verdadero y viviente,
10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Yeshua, who delivers us from the wrath to come.
Esperando a su Hijo del cielo, que resucitó de los muertos, Jesús, nuestro Salvador, de la ira venidera.
