< 1 Peter 2 >

1 Putting away therefore all wickedness, and all deceit, and hypocrisy, and envy, and all slander,
2 as newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby to salvation,
Muwananganayi na vana vang'enya vevavelekiwi hinu chevinogela mavele, magono goha munogela lilovi la Chapanga, ngati mwana cheinogela mavele muni ndava ya lenilo mupatayi kukula na kusanguliwa.
3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good:
Ngati chegijova Mayandiku Gamsopi, “Mmanyili nyenye mwavene kuvya BAMBU ndi mbwina.”
4 coming to him, a living stone, though rejected by people but chosen by God, precious.
Hinu, mumhambila BAMBU!
5 You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy cohanim, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Yeshua the Messiah.
Nyenye mewa ngati maganga mumi mkajengeka na kuvya nyumba ya chimpungu ndi yati mhengela ngati vateta vamsopi, kuwusila luteta lwa chimpungu lwa kumganisa Chapanga kwa njila ya Yesu Kilisitu
6 Because it is contained in Scripture, "Look, I am laying in Zion a stone, a chosen precious cornerstone, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame."
Mundu mwakumsadika mwenuyo yati ikola lepi soni.”
7 For you who believe therefore is the honor, but for those who do not believe, "The stone which the builders rejected, has become the chief cornerstone,"
Kwa nyenye mwamwisadika liganga lenilo lina utopesa uvaha nambu kwa vala vangasadika, ngati Mayandiku Gamsopi chegijova, “Liganga levabelili vajengaji, hinu ndi livili liganga leliganikiwa neju kuliku gangi.”
8 and, "a stone to stumble over, and a rock to trip over." For they stumble at the word, being disobedient, to which also they were appointed.
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal cohanim, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
Nambu nyenye ndi vandu mwemuhaguliwi na Chapanga, muvi vamteta va Unkosi, vandu va likabila la Msopi, vandu va Chapanga mwene, mwemuhaguliwi kulikokosa lihengu livaha la Chapanga mweavakemili kuhuma muchitita, muyingila mulumuli lwaki lwa kulangasa.
10 who once were not a people, but now are God's people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Kadeni apo nyenye mwavili lepi vandu va Chapanga, nambu hinu ndi vandu vaki, magono ago mwangahengelwa lipyana la Chapanga, nambu hinu muhengiwi lipyana laki.
11 Beloved, I urge you as foreigners and temporary residents, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
Valongo vangu, nikuvayupa nyenye ngati vayehi na vajumbaji pamulima apa! Mleka mnogo winu uhakau wemuvelekiwi nawu weubelana na mpungu winu.
12 having good behavior among the nations, so in that of which they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they see, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Mutama bwina pagati ya vandu vangammanya Chapanga, hati ngati vakuvakupakisa mukiti uhakau, pevakugawona matendu ginu, na Chapanga peibwelayi yati vakumulumba ligono peibwela kuvahamula vandu.
13 Subject yourselves to every human institution for the Lord's sake: whether to the king, as supreme;
Hinu, muvayidakila vandu vana uhotola ndava ya BAMBU. Mumyidakila nkosi mweavichilongosi mkulu neju,
14 or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for praise to those who do well.
kuvayidakila vakulu vevahaguliwi nayu, kuvahamula vandu vala vevikita uhakau na kuvalumba vandu vala vevikita gabwina.
15 For this is the will of God, that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people:
Ndava muni Chapanga igana mukita gabwina, kupitila nyenye muvakita vandu vayimu vakotoka kujova mambu vangagamanya.
16 as free, and not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but as slaves of God.
Mtama ngati vandu vevalekekiswi, nambu mkoto kuuhengela ulekekeswa winu ngati ukupakiswa wa kukitila uhakau, nambu mtama ngati vatumisi va Chapanga.
17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
Muvatopesa vandu voha, muvagana valongo vinu vevakumsadika Kilisitu, mumtopesa neju Chapanga na mumtopesa nkosi.
18 Servants, be in subjection to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked.
Nyenye vavanda, muvatopesa vakulu vinu kwa utopesa woha. Lepi vala vabwina ndu na vapoli, ndi mewa vevavili na ligoga.
19 For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God.
Muni ngati mkangamala mvinisu wa mang'ahiso gangaganikiwa ndava muni mmanyili kuvya Chapanga igana chenicho, ndi Chapanga yati akuvamotisa.
20 For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God.
Wu, yati mwipata njombi yoki mkakangamala ndava ya kutoviwa ndava ya kubuda kwemhengili? Nambu hati ngati msindimala mang'ahiso pamonga mkitili gabwina, Chapanga yati akuvamotisa.
21 For to this you were called, because Messiah also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,
Genago goha ndi gemwakemeliwi, muni Kilisitu mwene ang'ahiki ndava yinu, na akulangisi cheuganikiwa kuhenga, muni mkita ngati mwene cheakitili.
22 who "committed no sin, nor was deceit found in his mouth."
Mwene ambudili lepi Chapanga, mewa ahotwili lepi kujova udesi.
23 Who, when he was cursed, did not curse back. When he suffered, did not threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously;
Vandu pevamligili mwene ayangwili lepi liligu. Peang'aiswi mwene avakitili lepi vamyogopa, ndi ayivikili huvalila yaki kwa Chapanga, mhamula mihalu mweihamula kwa uchakaka.
24 who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose wounds you were healed.
Nyenye mlamiswi.
25 For you were going astray like sheep; but now have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Ndava nyenye mwavili ngati limbelele leliyagili, nambu hinu mumuwuyili Mdimaji na Mlonda wa mipungu yinu.
