< 1 Peter 2 >

1 Putting away therefore all wickedness, and all deceit, and hypocrisy, and envy, and all slander,
Choncho, lekani zoyipa zonse, chinyengo chilichonse, chiphamaso, nsanje ndi kusinjirira kulikonse.
2 as newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby to salvation,
Monga makanda obadwa kumene amalirira mkaka, inunso muzilakalaka mkaka weniweni wauzimu, kuti mukule ndi kukufikitsani ku chipulumutso chanu,
3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good:
pakuti tsopano mwalawadi kuti Ambuye ndi wabwino.
4 coming to him, a living stone, though rejected by people but chosen by God, precious.
Pamene mukubwera kwa Iye, amene ndi Mwala wa moyo, umene anthu anawukana, koma Mulungu anawusankha kuti ndi wa mtengowapatali,
5 You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy cohanim, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Yeshua the Messiah.
inunso, mukhale ngati miyala ya moyo yoti Mulungu amangire nyumba yake yauzimu kuti mukhale ansembe opatulika, opereka nsembe zauzimu zovomerezeka ndi Mulungu mwa Yesu Khristu.
6 Because it is contained in Scripture, "Look, I am laying in Zion a stone, a chosen precious cornerstone, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame."
Pakuti mʼMalemba mwalembedwa kuti, “Taonani, ndikuyika mwala wa maziko mu Ziyoni, wosankhika ndi wamtengowapatali. Amene akhulupirira Iye sadzachititsidwa manyazi.”
7 For you who believe therefore is the honor, but for those who do not believe, "The stone which the builders rejected, has become the chief cornerstone,"
Tsono kwa inu okhulupirira, mwalawo ndi wamtengowapatali. Koma kwa amene sakhulupirira, “Mwala umene amisiri anawukana wasanduka mwala wa maziko,
8 and, "a stone to stumble over, and a rock to trip over." For they stumble at the word, being disobedient, to which also they were appointed.
ndi “Mwala wopunthwitsa anthu ndiponso thanthwe limene limagwetsa anthu.” Iwo amapunthwa chifukwa samvera uthenga, pakuti ichi ndiye chinali chifuniro cha Mulungu pa iwo.
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal cohanim, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
Koma inu ndinu anthu osankhidwa ndi Mulungu, ansembe achifumu, mtundu woyera mtima, anthu ake enieni a Mulungu, munasankhidwa kuti mulalikire za ntchito zamphamvu za Iye amene anakuyitanani kuti mutuluke mu mdima ndi kulowa mʼkuwunika kwake kodabwitsa.
10 who once were not a people, but now are God's people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Kale simunali anthu ake, koma tsopano ndinu anthu a Mulungu. Kale simunalandire chifundo, koma tsopano mwalandira chifundo.
11 Beloved, I urge you as foreigners and temporary residents, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
Okondedwa, ndikukupemphani, ngati alendo pansi pano, pewani zilakolako za uchimo, zimene zimachita nkhondo ndi moyo wanu.
12 having good behavior among the nations, so in that of which they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they see, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Khalani moyo wabwino pakati pa anthu osapembedza kuti ngakhale atakusinjirirani kuti mumachita zoyipa, iwowo akaona ntchito zanu zabwino, adzalemekeza Mulungu pa tsiku lomwe Iye adzatiyendere.
13 Subject yourselves to every human institution for the Lord's sake: whether to the king, as supreme;
Gonjerani maulamuliro onse chifukwa cha Ambuye. Kaya ndi mfumu, imvereni chifukwa ili ndi ulamuliro waukulu,
14 or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for praise to those who do well.
kaya ndi mabwanamkubwa, pakuti watumidwa ndi mfumu kuti alange onse amene amachita zoyipa ndi kuyamikira onse amene amachita zabwino.
15 For this is the will of God, that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people:
Pakuti Mulungu akufuna kuti pochita ntchito zabwino muthetse kuyankhula mosazindikira ndi mopusa.
16 as free, and not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but as slaves of God.
Mukhale monga mfulu, koma musagwiritse ntchito ufulu wanuwo ngati chophimbira zoyipa; mukhale monga atumiki a Mulungu.
17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
Chitirani ulemu aliyense, kondani abale okhulupirira, wopani Mulungu, ndipo chitirani mfumu ulemu.
18 Servants, be in subjection to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked.
Inu akapolo, gonjerani ambuye anu ndi kuwachitira ulemu, osati kwa iwo okha amene ndi abwino ndi omvetsa zinthu, komanso kwa amene ndi ankhanza.
19 For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God.
Pakuti ndi chinthu chokoma ngati munthu apirira mu zowawa zimene sizinamuyenera chifukwa chodziwa kuti Mulungu alipo.
20 For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God.
Kodi pali choti akuyamikireni ngati mupirira pomenyedwa chifukwa choti mwalakwa? Koma ngati mumva zowawa chifukwa chochita zabwino ndi kupirira, mwachita choyamikika pamaso pa Mulungu.
21 For to this you were called, because Messiah also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,
Munayitanidwa kudzachita zimenezi, chifukwa Khristu anamva zowawa chifukwa cha inu, anakusiyirani chitsanzo, kuti inu mutsatire mʼmapazi ake.
22 who "committed no sin, nor was deceit found in his mouth."
“Iye sanachite tchimo kapena kunena bodza.”
23 Who, when he was cursed, did not curse back. When he suffered, did not threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously;
Pamene anthu ankamuchita chipongwe, Iye sanabwezere chipongwe, pamene Iye ankamva zowawa, sanaopseze. Mʼmalo mwake, anadzipereka kwa Mulungu amene amaweruza molungama.
24 who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose wounds you were healed.
Iye mwini anasenza machimo athu mʼthupi lake pa mtanda, kuti ife tife kutchimo ndi kukhala ndi moyo potsata chilungamo, ndipo ndi mabala ake munachiritsidwa.
25 For you were going astray like sheep; but now have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Pakuti munali monga nkhosa zosochera, koma tsopano mwabwerera kwa mʼbusa ndi woyangʼanira miyoyo yanu.
