< 1 Kings 11 >

1 Now king Solomon loved women, and he took many foreign women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites;
Farao babaa no akyi no, ɔhene Salomo dɔɔ ananafoɔ mmaa bebree a na wɔyɛ Moabfoɔ, Amonfoɔ, Edomfoɔ, Sidonfoɔ ne Hetifoɔ.

3 He had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred secondary wives; and his wives turned away his heart.
Na ɔwɔ yerenom ahanson ne mpenafoɔ ahasa. Na ampa ara wɔtwee ne ɔkra firii Awurade ho.
4 For it happened, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods; and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
Ɛberɛ a Salomo bɔɔ akɔkoraa no, wɔtwee nʼakoma kɔɔ anyame afoforɔ so, na wamfa ne ho anto Awurade, ne Onyankopɔn so, sɛdeɛ nʼagya Dawid yɛeɛ no.
5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
Salomo dii Sidonfoɔ nyamebaa Astoret ne Amonfoɔ nyame Molek a na wɔkyiri no no akyi.
6 Solomon did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and did not completely follow after the LORD, as did David his father.
Enti, Salomo yɛɛ bɔne wɔ Awurade ani so. Wanni Awurade akyi, sɛdeɛ nʼagya Dawid yɛeɛ no.
7 Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, on the mountain that is before Jerusalem, and for Milcom the abomination of the people of Ammon.

9 The LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from the LORD, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice,
Na Awurade bo fuu Salomo, ɛfiri sɛ, nʼakoma adane afiri Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, a wada ne ho adi akyerɛ no mprenu no ho.

Ɔbɔɔ Salomo kɔkɔ sɛ ɔnni anyame foforɔ akyi, nanso Salomo anni Awurade ahyɛdeɛ so.
11 Therefore the LORD said to Solomon, "Because this is done by you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.
Enti, Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Salomo sɛ, “Esiane sɛ woanni mʼapam so, na woapo me mmara enti, ampa ara, mɛte ahemman no afiri wo ho, na mede ama wʼasomfoɔ no mu baako.

14 The LORD raised up an adversary to Solomon, Hadad the Edomite. He was of the royal line in Edom.

23 God raised up an adversary to him, Rezon the son of Eliada, who had fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah.

27 This was the reason why he lifted up his hand against the king: Solomon built Millo, and repaired the breach of the City of David his father.
