< 1 Corinthians 8 >

1 Now concerning things sacrificed to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
Houjik lai murtida katluraba potki maramda nakhoina hanglakpa wahanggi maramda: Hoi, eikhoi pumnamakki khangba lei haiba eikhoina khang-i. Adubu khangbana chaothokhalli, adubu nungsibana semgatli.
2 But if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he does not yet know as he ought to know.
Karigumba khara khang-i haina khanjaba makhoising aduna makhoina khangpham thokpa adu youna tasengna khangdri.
3 But if anyone loves God, the same is known by him.
Adubu Tengban Mapubu nungsijaba mahak adubudi Tengban Mapuna khangbi.
4 Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no God but one.
Adu oirabadi lai murtida katluraba pot chabagi matangdadi: Lai murtidi tasengna taibangpanda leiba natte amasung Tengban Mapu amakhak lei haibasi eikhoina khang-i.
5 For though there are things that are called "gods," whether in the heavens or on earth; as there are many "gods" and many "lords;"
Atiya amadi malem asida laini haina kounabasing leirabasu aduga asigumba laising amadi mapusing yamna leirabasu,
6 yet to us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Yeshua the Messiah, through whom are all things, and we live through him.
Eikhoigidi Tengban Mapu ama haibadi Ipa adu lei. Pot pumnamakpu sembiba mapu adu mahakni aduga eikhoina mahakkidamak lei. Aduga Ibungo amakhak lei, mahakti Jisu Christtani. Mahakki mapanna pot pumnamak sembi aduga mahakki mapanna eikhoina hingbani.
7 However, not all have this knowledge. But some, being so accustomed to idols until now, eat as of a thing sacrificed to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
Adubu mi khudingmakna achumba asi khangde. Mi kharadi lai murti latlakpagi heinabi leirakpana houjik phaoba makhoina lai murtida katluraba pot chaba matamda lai murtida katluraba pot chabagum khalli. Aduga makhoigi achum aran khangba pukning adu sonbagi maramna makhoibu chinjak aduna maanghalle haina phaojei.
8 But food will not commend us to God. For neither, if we do not eat, are we the worse; nor, if we eat, are we the better.
Adumakpu chinjakna eikhoiga Tengban Mapuga leinaba mari adu phagat-hanba natte. Eikhoina chadraga karisu mangjaba leite aduga charaga tongjaba karisu leite.
9 But be careful that by no means does this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak.
Adumakpu, nakhoigi naning tamba adu pangthokpada thajaba sonbasing adubu papta tahandanaba cheksillu.
10 For if someone sees you who have knowledge sitting in an idol's temple, won't his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat things sacrificed to idols?
Maramdi lousing adu leiriba nahakna lai murtigi sangda chaba adu achum aran khangnaba pukning sonba mahakna urabadi mahakpu nahakna lai murtida katpa pot chananaba thougatpa oiroidra?
11 And through your knowledge, he who is weak perishes, the brother for whom the Messiah died.
Adu oirabadi nahakki lousing adugi maramna mahakkidamak Christtana sibikhiba nahakki asonba nachin nanao adubu manghalloidra?
12 Thus, sinning against the brothers, and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Messiah.
Aduga matou asumna nahakna nachin nanaosinggi mathakta pap touraba amadi makhoigi achum aran khangnaba pukning adubu sokhallabadi nahakna Christtagi maiyokta pap tou-i.
13 Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat forevermore, that I do not cause my brother to stumble. (aiōn g165)
Maram aduna eina chariba pot aduna eigi ichil inaobu papta tahallabadi, eina mahakpu papta tahandanaba ei keidounungdasu sa sukcha chararoi. (aiōn g165)
