< 1 Corinthians 14 >

1 Follow after love, and earnestly desire spiritual things, and especially that you may prophesy.
Nlimbile kukola unonyelo, iyoyo ni kusaka kwannope mituuka jine ja Mbumu jwa Akunnungu, nambo nnopennope, mpate ntuuka wa kwalalichila ŵandu utenga kutyochela kwa Akunnungu.
2 For the one who speaks in another language speaks not to people, but to God; for no one understands; but in the Ruach he speaks mysteries.
Mundu jwakuŵecheta chiŵecheto changamanyika jwelejo ngakuŵecheta ni ŵandu nambo akuŵecheta ni Akunnungu, pakuŵa ngapagwa mundu jwakumanyilila, jwelejo akuŵecheta kwa machili ga Mbumu jwa Akunnungu indu yesisiche.
3 But he who prophesies speaks to people for their encouragement, strengthening, and comfort.
4 He who speaks in another language edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the congregation.
Jwakuŵecheta chiŵecheto changamanyika akulilimbisya nsyene, nambo ajula jwakulalichila utenga kutyochela kwa Akunnungu akuulimbisya mpingo wa ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito.
5 Now I would like you all to speak in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy, and he is greater who prophesies than he who speaks with other languages, unless he interprets, that the congregation may be built up.
Uneji ngusaka ŵanyamwe wose mmechete iŵecheto yangamanyika, nambo nnopennope ngusaka ŵanyamwe nlalichile utenga kutyochela kwa Akunnungu. Pakuŵa mundu jwaali ni ntuuka wa kusala utenga kutyochela kwa Akunnungu akutenda yambone kumpunda jwakuŵecheta iŵecheto yangamanyika, iŵaga apali mundu jwine jwakukombola kwagopolela ŵandu ŵane chaŵechete cho, kuti mpingo wa ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito ukombole kugumbikwa.
6 But now, brothers, if I come to you speaking with other languages, what would I profit you, unless I speak to you either by way of revelation, or of knowledge, or of prophesying, or of teaching?
Sambano achalongo achinjangu, iŵaga ngwika kukwenu ni kuŵecheta iŵecheto yangamanyika, ana chinkole ichichi? Kusyene ngampoka ikaŵe nguntagulila kwalitala lya chiunukuko kutyochela kwa Akunnungu pane kwa umanyilisi pane kwa liloŵe lya Akunnungu pane kwa majiganyo?
7 Even things without life, giving a voice, whether pipe or harp, if they did not give a distinction in the sounds, how would it be known what is piped or harped?
Namose indu yangali umi ikwete liloŵe lyakwe, chindu mpela chitolito pane chityatya, iŵaga ngaikutyosya liloŵe lya kulekangana, mundu chalumanyilile chinauli lujimbo lwalukung'andikwa?
8 For if the trumpet gave an uncertain sound, who would prepare himself for war?
Lipenga lyasonaga pangamanyika usone wakwe, ŵaani ŵachaliŵiche chile kwaula kungondo?
9 So also you, unless you uttered by the tongue words easy to understand, how would it be known what is spoken? For you would be speaking into the air.
Ŵanyamwe iyoyo, mwaŵechetaga chiŵecheto changamanyika, ŵandu chaimanye chinauli inkuŵecheta yo? Pelepo nkuŵa mpela ŵandu ŵakuŵecheta ni mbungo.
10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none is without meaning.
Ipali iŵecheto yejinji pachilambo pano nombe iŵecheto yose ikwete mate.
11 If then I do not know the meaning of the sound, I would be to him who speaks a foreigner, and he who speaks would be a foreigner to me.
Iŵaga ngangombola kugamanyilila mate gakwe chiŵecheto chakuŵecheta mundu, chime jwannendo kwa mundu jwakuŵecheta, ni jwelejo kukwangu chaŵe jwannendo.
12 So also you, since you are zealous for spiritual things, seek that you may abound to the building up of the congregation.
Iyoyo peyo ni ŵanyamwe, pakuŵa nkulajila kwannope kupochela mituuka ja Mbumu jwa Akunnungu, nlimbile kwannope kukola mituuka jajikukamusya kuugumba mpingo wa ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito.
13 Therefore let him who speaks in another language pray that he may interpret.
Nipele ŵakuŵecheta chiŵecheto changamanyika, apopele kuti akombole kwagopolela ŵandu chaŵechete cho.
14 For if I pray in another language, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.
Pakuŵa pangupopela mchiŵecheto changamanyika, mbumu jangu ni jajikupopela, nambo lunda lwangu ngalukupanganya chachili chose.
15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
Ana sambano ndende uli? Chimbopele kwa mbumu jangu, nombe chimbopele kwa umanyilisi wangu, chinyimbe kwa mbumu jangu, nombe chinyimbe kwa umanyilisi wangu.
16 Otherwise if you bless with the spirit, how will he who fills the place of the unlearned say the "Amen" at your giving of thanks, seeing he does not know what you say?
Mwalapaga Akunnungu kwa mbumu jenu pe, Iwaga kwana mundu jwine jwangamanyilila chinkuŵecheta cho, chajitichisye chinauli “Eloo,” kwa kwatogolela Akunnungu iŵaga ngaimanya chinkuŵecheta?
17 For you truly give thanks well, but the other person is not built up.
Namuno nkukombola kwatogolela Akunnungu kwa usyene, nambo ngaikwakamuchisya mundu jwine.
18 I thank God I speak in tongues more than you all.
Ngwatogolela Akunnungu kuti uneji nguŵecheta iŵecheto yangamanyika kumpunda ŵanyamwe wose.
19 However in the congregation I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I might instruct others also, than ten thousand words in another language.
Nambo naŵaga pasikati ja mpingo wa ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito, mbaya mechete maloŵe nsano gagakumanyika kuti najiganye ŵane kupunda kuŵecheta maloŵe gamajinji nnope kwa iŵecheto yangamanyika.
20 Brothers, do not be children in thoughts, yet in malice be babies, but in thoughts be mature.
Achalongo achinjangu, nkaganisya mpela ŵanache achanandi, nambo mme mpela ŵanache achanandi mu igongomalo. Pankuganisya mmeje mpela ŵandu ŵakule.
21 In the law it is written, "By people of strange tongues and by the lips of strangers I will speak to this people; but even then they will not listen to me," says the Lord.
22 Therefore tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe, but to the unbelieving; but prophesying is for a sign, not to the unbelieving, but to those who believe.
23 If therefore the whole congregation is assembled together and all speak in tongues, and unlearned or unbelieving people come in, won't they say that you are crazy?
Nipele iŵaga mpingo wa ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito ukuchingangana pamo, ni kila mundu kuŵecheta chiŵecheto changamanyika, ni aŵala ŵandu ŵangamanyilila ni ŵangakulupila ajinjilaga mwelemo ngasasala kuti ŵanyamwe nli ŵampugwe?
24 But if all prophesy, and someone unbelieving or unlearned comes in, he is reproved by all, and he is judged by all.
Nambo iŵaga ŵandu wose nkulalichila utenga kutyochela kwa Akunnungu, ajinjilaga mundu jwangamanyilila pane jwangakulupilila yose ichapilikane chiyalosye ungalumbana wakwe nsyene ni aila yaipilikene chiyalamule.
25 And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed. So he will fall down on his face and worship God, declaring that God is among you indeed.
Yaisisiche mu ntima wakwe chiŵe yeunukukwe, nombejo chatindiŵale ni kwalamba Akunnungu achitiji, “Isyene Akunnungu ali pasikati jenu mwanya pelepa!”
26 What is it then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has another language, has an interpretation. Let all things be done to build each other up.
Ana tujile uli achalongo achinjangu?
27 If anyone speaks in another language, let it be two, or at the most three, and in turn; and let one interpret.
Iŵaga ŵandu akuŵecheta iŵecheto yangamanyika, aŵecheteje ŵaŵili pane ŵatatu, ngasapunda, nambo aŵecheteje jumojumo ni kuŵeje ni mundu jwakugopolela.
28 But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in the congregation, and let him speak to himself, and to God.
Nambo iŵaga ngapagwa mundu jwakwagopolela ŵandu chachiŵechetekwe cho, jwele jwakuŵecheta chiŵecheto changamanyika atame jii mu mpingo wa ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito, aŵechete ni nganisyo syakwe nsyene ni Akunnungu.
29 Let the prophets speak, two or three, and let the others discern.
Ŵandu ŵakusala utenga kutyochela kwa Akunnungu, asaleje ŵaŵili pane ŵatatu ni ŵane agapime agala gakugasala.
30 But if a revelation is made to another sitting by, let the first keep silent.
Nambo iŵaga apali mundu panchingangene po apochele utenga kutyochela kwa Akunnungu, juŵatandite kuŵecheta jula amyalale.
31 For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged.
Pakuŵa ŵanyamwe wose nkukombola kulalichila jumo jumo utenga umpegwilwe ni Akunnungu kuti kila mundu alijiganye ni kutulaswa ntima.
32 The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets,
33 for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. As in all the congregations of the kadoshim,
pakuŵa Akunnungu ngaŵa Akunnungu ŵakuwatanganya nambo ali Akunnungu ŵa chitendewele. Mpela yaikuti pakuŵa kwa mipingo jose ja ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito ŵaali ŵandu ŵa Akunnungu,
34 let the women keep silent in the congregations, for it has not been permitted for them to speak; but let them be in subjection, as the Law also says.
achakongwe amyalale mmipingo jose ja ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito pakusongangana. Ŵelewo ngakusachilwa kuŵecheta. Nambo akusachilwa ajitichisye, mpela igakuti kusala Malajisyo ga Ŵayahudi.
35 If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home, for it is shameful for a woman to chatter in the congregation.
Iŵaga akwete mausyo ga kuusya, akaausye achiŵankwawo kumusi, pakuŵa jili soni kwa achakongwe kuŵecheta chachilichose pa nsongangano wa ŵandu ŵakunkulupillila Kilisito.
36 What? Was it from you that the word of God went out? Or did it come to you alone?
Ana liloŵe lya Akunnungu lyatyosile kukwenu? Pane ana lyannyichilile mwanya pe?
37 If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him recognize the things which I write to you, that they are the commandment of the Lord.
Mundu jwalijose aliganisyaga kuti akwete ntuuka wa kusala utenga kutyochela kwa Akunnungu pane akwete Mbumu jwa Akunnungu, aimanyilile kuti ingulemba yi, ngulemba makanyo ga Ambuje.
38 But if someone does not recognize this, he is not recognized.
Nambo mundu agajalusyaga agaga, nombejo ajaluswe.
39 Therefore, my brothers, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.
Kwayele, achalongo achinjangu, nlajile kwannope kwalalichila ŵandu utenga kutyochela kwa Akunnungu ni ngasimwakanya ŵandu kuŵecheta chiŵecheto changamanyika.
40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
Nambo indu yose ipanganyikwe mwambone ni mwaukotopasyo.
