1 Chronicles 11

1 Then all Israel gathered together to David at Hebron, saying, "Look, we are your bone and your flesh.

तब सब इस्राईली हबरून में दाऊद के पास जमा' होकर कहने लगे, देख हम तेरी ही हड्डी और तेरा ही गोश्त हैं।

2 In times past, even when Saul was king, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. The LORD your God said to you, 'You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall rule over my people Israel.'"

और गुज़रे ज़माने में उस वक़्त भी जब साऊल बादशाह था, तू ही ले जाने और ले आने में इस्राईलियों का रहबर था; और ख़ुदावन्द तेरे ख़ुदा ने तुझे फ़रमाया, “तू मेरी क़ौम इस्राईल की गल्लेबानी करेगा, और तू ही मेरी क़ौम इस्राईल का सरदार होगा।”

3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.

ग़रज़ इस्राईल के सब बुज़ुर्ग हबरून में बादशाह के पास आये, और दाऊद ने हबरून में उनके साथ ख़ुदावन्द के सामने 'अहद किया; और उन्होंने ख़ुदावन्द के कलाम के मुताबिक़ जो समुएल की ज़रिए' फ़रमाया था, दाऊद को मम्सूह किया ताकि इस्राईलियों का बादशाह हो।

4 David and all Israel went to Jerusalem (that is, Jebus); and the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, were there.

और दाऊद और तमाम इस्राईली येरूशलेम को गए यबूस यही है, और उस मुल्क के बाशिंदे यबूसी वहाँ थे।

5 The inhabitants of Jebus said to David, "You shall not come in here." Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion, that is, the City of David.

और यबूस के बाशिंदों ने दाऊद से कहा कि तू यहाँ आने न पाएगा तोभी दाऊद ने सिय्यून का क़िला' ले लिया, यही दाऊद का शहर है।

6 David said, "Whoever strikes the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain." Joab the son of Zeruiah went up first, and was made chief.

और दाऊद ने कहा, “जो कोई पहले यबूसियों को मारे वह सरदार और सिपहसालार होगा।” और योआब बिन ज़रोयाह पहले चढ़ गया और सरदार बना।

7 David lived in the stronghold; therefore they called it the City of David.

और दाऊद क़िले' में रहने लगा, इसलिए उन्होंने उसका नाम दाऊद का शहर रख्खा।

8 He built the city all around, from the Millo even around; and Joab repaired the rest of the city.

और उसने शहर को चारों तरफ़ या'नी मिल्लो से लेकर चारों तरफ़ बनाया और योआब ने बाक़ी शहर की मरम्मत की।

9 David grew greater and greater; for the LORD of hosts was with him.

और दाऊद तरक़्क़ी पर तरक़्क़ी करता गया, क्यूँकि रब्ब — उल — अफ़वाज उसके साथ था।

10 Now these are the chief of the warriors whom David had, who gave him strong support in his kingdom, together with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.

और दाऊद के सूर्माओं के सरदार यह हैं, जिन्होंने उसकी हुकूमत में सारे इस्राईल के साथ उसे मज़बूती दी ताकि जैसा ख़ुदावन्द ने इस्राईल के हक़ में कहा था उसे बादशाह बनाएँ।

11 This is the number of the warriors whom David had: Jeshbaal the son of Hachmoni, leader of the Three. And he wielded his spear against eight hundred and killed them at one time.

दाऊद के सूर्माओं का शुमार यह है: यसुबि'आम बिन हकमूनी जो तीसों का सरदार था। उने तीन सौ पर अपना भाला चलाया और उनको एक ही वक़्त में क़त्ल किया।

12 After him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the Three warriors.

उसके बाद अखूही दोदो का बेटा एलियाज़र था जो उन तीनों सूर्माओं में से एक था।

13 He was with David at Pas Dammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where there was a plot of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.

वह दाऊद के साथ फ़सदम्मीम में था जहाँ फ़िलिस्ती जंग करने को जमा' हुए थे। वहाँ ज़मीन का टुकड़ा जौ से भरा हुआ था, और लोग फ़िलिस्तियों के आगे से भागे।

14 And he took his stand in the midst of the plot, and defended it, and killed the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great victory.

तब उन्होंने उस ज़मीन क्व टुकड़े के बीच में खड़े हो कर उसे बचाया और फ़िलिस्तियों को क़त्ल किया और ख़ुदावन्द ने बड़ी फ़तह देकर उनको रिहा बख़्शी।

15 And three of the Thirty chief men went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam; and the army of the Philistines were camped in the Valley of Rephaim.

और उन तीसों सरदारों में से तीन, दाऊद के साथ थे उस चट्टान पर या'नी 'अदूल्लाम के मुग़ारे में उतर गए, और फ़िलिस्तियों की फ़ौज रिफ़ाईम की वादी में ख़ेमाज़न थी।

16 David was then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.

और दाऊद उस वक़्त गढ़ी में था और फ़िलिस्तियों की चौकी उस वक़्त बैतलहम में थी।

17 And David had a craving and said, "Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate."

और दाऊद ने तरस कर कहा, “ऐ काश कोई बैतलहम के उस कुँए का पानी जो फाटक के क़रीब है, मुझे पीने को देता!”

18 The Three broke through the army of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it out to the LORD,

तब वह तीनों फ़िलिस्तियों की सफ़ तोड़ कर निकल गए और बैतलहम के उस कुँए में से जो फाटक के क़रीब है पानी भर लिया और उसे दाऊद के पास लाये लेकिन दाऊद ने न चाहा कि उसे पिए बल्कि उसे ख़ुदावन्द के लिए तपाया।

19 and said, "My God forbid it me, that I should do this. Shall I drink the blood of these men who have put their lives in jeopardy?" For they risked their lives to bring it. Therefore he would not drink it. The Three warriors did these things.

और कहने लगा कि ख़ुदा न करे कि मैं ऐसा करूँ। क्या मैं इन लोगों का ख़ून पियूँ जो अपनी जानों पर खेले हैं? क्यूँकि वह जानबाज़ी कर के उसको लाये हैं। तब उसने न पिया। वह तीनों सूर्मा ऐसे ऐसे काम करते थे।

20 And Abishai, the brother of Joab, was leader of the Thirty. And he wielded his spear against three hundred and killed them, and had a name beside the Three.

और योआब का भाई अबीशै तीनों का सरदार था। उसने तीन सौ पर भाला चलाया और उनको मार डाला। वह इन तीनों में मशहूर था।

21 He was the most illustrious of the Thirty, and he became their leader. However, he did not attain to the Three.

यह तीनों में उन दोनों से ज़्यादा ख़ास था और उनका सरदार बना, लेकिन उन पहले तीनों के दर्जे को न पहुँचा।

22 Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was a valiant man of Kabzeel, who performed great deeds. He killed the two of Ariel of Moab. He also went down and killed a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow.

और बिनायाह बिन यहूयदा' एक क़बज़िएली सूर्मा था जिसने बड़ी बहादुरी के काम किये थे; उसने मोआब के अरिएल के दोनों बेटों को क़त्ल किया, और जाकर बर्फ़ के मौसम में एक गढ़े के बीच एक शेर को मारा।

23 He killed an Egyptian, a man of great stature, seven feet five inches tall; and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and grabbed the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and killed him with his own spear.

और उसने पाँच हाथ के एक क़दआवर मिस्री को क़त्ल किया हालाँकि उस मिस्री के हाथ में जुलाहे के शहतीर के बराबर एक भाला था, लेकिन वह एक लाठी लिए हुए उसके पास गया और भाले को उस मिस्री के हाथ से छीन कर उसी के भाले से उसको क़त्ल किया।

24 Benaiah the son of Jehoiada did these things, and had a name among the Three warriors.

यहुयदा के बेटे बिनायाह ने ऐसे ऐसे काम किये और वह उन तीनों सूर्माओं में नामी था।

25 Look, he was more honored than the Thirty, but he did not attain to the Three. And David set him over his guard.

वह उन तीसों से मु'अज़्ज़िज़ था, लेकिन पहले तीनों के दर्जे को न पहुँचा। और दाऊद ने उसे मुहाफ़िज़ सिपाहियों का सरदार बनाया।

26 Also the warriors of the armies: Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,

और लश्करों में सूर्मा यह थे: योआब का भाई 'असाहेल और बैतलहमी दोदो का बेटा इल्हनान,

27 Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite, Helez the Paltite,

और सम्मोत हरूरी, ख़लिसफ़लूनी,

28 Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Anathothite,

तक़ू'अ, 'इक़्क़ीस, का बेटा 'ईरा, अबी'अज़र 'अन्तोती,

29 Sibbekai the Hushathite, Zalmon the Ahohite,

सिब्बकी हुसाती, 'एली अखूही,

30 Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite,

महरी नतूफ़ाती, हलिद बिन बा'ना नतूफ़ाती,

31 Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah of the people of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,

बनी बिनयमीन के जिब'आ के रीबी का बेटा इत्ती, बिनायाह फ़िर'आतोनी,

32 Hiddai of Nahale Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,

जा'स की नदियों का बाशिंदा हूरी, अबीएल 'अरबाती,

33 Azmaveth the Bahurimite, Eliahba the Shaalbinite,

'अज़मावत बहरूमी, इलीयाब सा'लबूनी,

34 Jashen the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shamma the Hararite,

बनी हशीम जिज़ूनी, हरारी शजी का बेटा यूनतन,

35 Ahiam the son of Sakar the Hararite, Eliphelet the son of Ahasbai the Maacathite,

और हरारी सक्कार का बेटा अख़ीआम, इलिफ़ाल बिन ऊर,

36 Eliam the son of Ahithopel the Gilonite,

हिफ़्र मकीराती, अखि़याह फ़लूनी,

37 Hezrai the Carmelite, Paarai the Archite,

हसरू कर्मिली, नग़री बिन अज़बी,

38 Igal the son of Nathan, from the elite troops of the Hagrites,

नातन कला भाई यूएल, मिबख़ार बिन हाजिरी,

39 Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, the armor bearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah,

सिलक़ 'अम्मूनी, नहरी बैरोती जो योआब बिन ज़रोयाह का सिलाहबरदार था,

40 Ira the Jattirite, Gareb the Jattirite,

'ईरा ईत्री, जरीब इतरी,

41 Uriah the Hethite, Zabad the son of Ahlai,

ऊरिय्याह हित्ती, ज़बद बिन अख़ली,

42 Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a chief of the Reubenites, and thirty with him,

सीज़ा रुबीनी का बेटा 'अदीना रूबीनियों का एक सरदार जिसके साथ तीस जवान थे,

43 Hanan the son of Maacah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite,

हनान बिन मा'का, यहूसफ़त मितनी,

44 Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jeiel the sons of Hotham the Aroerite,

'उज़्ज़ियाह 'इस्ताराती, ख़ूताम 'अरो'ईरी के बेटे समा'अ और य'ईएल,

45 Jediael the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite,

यदी'एलबिन सिमरी और उसका भाई यूख़ा तीसी,

46 Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,

इलीएल महावी, और इलनाम के बेटे यरीबी और यूसावियाह, और यितमा मोआबी,

47 Eliel, and Obed, and Jaasiel the Mezobaiah.

इलीएल, और 'ओबेद, और या'सीएल मज़ूबाई।
