Revelation 12
1 A great sign was seen in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
Apareceu no céu algo bem incomum. Foi uma mulher, cujo [aspecto e ]roupa [brilhavam como ][MET] o sol. A lua estava debaixo dos pés dela. Ela tinha na cabeça uma coroa [feita ]de doze estrelas.
2 She was with child. She screamed out in pain, laboring to give birth.
Ela estava grávida. Então, por estar prestes a dar à luz [o seu filho], ela gritou pelas dores do parto que sofria.
3 Another sign was seen in heaven. Look, a great fiery red serpent, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven crowns.
Outra coisa pouco comum também apareceu no céu. Foi um imenso dragão vermelho. Tinha sete cabeças e dez chifres. Em cada uma das cabeças havia uma coroa real.
4 His tail drew one third of the stars of the sky, and threw them to the earth. The serpent stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child.
A cauda do dragão arrastou um terço das estrelas do céu, jogando-as para a terra. O dragão mesmo se postou diante da mulher que estava para dar à luz [o filho], para poder devorar o recém- nascido na hora do parto.
5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with an iron scepter. Her child was caught up to God, and to his throne.
Ela deu à luz um filho, o qual [é destinado ]a governar todas as nações com [plena autoridade como se empregasse ][MET] uma vara de ferro, [para obrigá-las a obedecer ][MET]. [Deus ]arrebatou o filho dela e o levou [para reinar do ]seu trono.
6 The woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that there they may nourish her one thousand two hundred sixty days.
A mulher fugiu até um lugar deserto. Lá ela tem um lugar que Deus mandou seus anjos prepararem para ela, para que [seus anjos ]possam cuidar dela durante 1.260 dias.
7 There was war in the sky. Michael and his angels made war on the serpent. The serpent and his angels made war.
Houve uma batalha no céu. Miguel e os anjos que ele [comandava ]lutaram contra o dragão. O dragão e os anjos que ele [comandava ]tentaram repelir a [Miguel e seus anjos. ]
8 They did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any more in heaven.
Mas o dragão não venceu a batalha, portanto ao dragão e seus anjos não foi permitido permanecerem {[Deus ]não permitiu que o dragão e seus anjos permanecessem} mais tempo no céu.
9 The great serpent was thrown down, the ancient serpent, he who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
O grande dragão foi expulso {[Miguel e seus anjos ]expulsaram o grande dragão} [do céu. ]O dragão é a velha serpente, [aquele ]que se chama Diabo e Satanás. É ele quem engana [as pessoas por toda ]a terra. Ele foi jogado {[Miguel e seus anjos ]o jogaram} para a terra, e com ele seus anjos foram expulsos {expulsaram seus anjos} para a terra.
10 I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now is come the salvation, the power, and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah; for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.
Ouvi [alguém ]no céu bradar em voz alta, dizendo: Agora nosso Deus salvou [seu povo ]por seu poder e Ele governa [todos os povos! ] Agora seu Messias, que é o governante [supremo nomeado ]por Deus, tem autoridade [de governar todos os povos], pois aquele que acusa nossos irmãos crentes foi expulsou [do céu ]{[nosso Deus ]expulsou [do céu ]aquele que acusa nossos irmãos crentes}! É o dragão quem os acusa dia e noite diante de nosso Deus, [alegando que eles pecaram e são dignos de castigo. ]
11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony. They did not love their life, even to death.
[Nossos irmãos crentes ]o derrotaram porque [eles confiavam em Cristo], aquele [que parece um ]cordeiro [sacrificial ]que [morreu e derramou ]seu sangue [na cruz, ] e porque falavam [de Cristo ]às demais pessoas. Mesmo que eles quisessem permanecer vivos, [estavam dispostos a deixar que as pessoas ]os matassem [por terem dito a verdade sobre Ele. ]
12 Therefore rejoice, heavens, and you who dwell in them. Woe to the land and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a short time."
Portanto, todos vocês, [anjos, ]que moram [MTY] no céu, alegrem-se! Mas coisas terríveis acontecerão a vocês, [habitantes da ][MTY] terra e do mar, pois o diabo desceu até vocês! Ele está agindo de uma forma muito irada, pois sabe que lhe resta pouco tempo [para fazer mal aos seres humanos”.]
13 When the serpent saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child.
Ao se dar conta o dragão de que foi jogado {[os anjos ]o tinham jogado} para a terra, ele passou a perseguir a mulher que tinha dado à luz um filho.
14 Two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, so that she might be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
Mas duas asas foram dadas {[o anjo de Deus ]deu duas asas} à mulher, asas como [MET] de uma enorme águia, para que ela pudesse voar a um lugar deserto. É um lugar que [Deus ]preparou para ela. Nesse lugar ela foi alimentada {[os anjos de Deus ]alimentaram a mulher} durante três anos e meio. A serpente, [ou seja, o dragão, ]não conseguiu chegar até ela.
15 The serpent spewed water out of his mouth after the woman like a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream.
A serpente derramou água da boca, como um rio na direção da mulher, na tentativa de arrastá-la com a água.
16 The earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river which the serpent spewed out of his mouth.
Mas a terra ajudou a mulher, [pois ]abriu a boca e engoliu o rio que tinha jorrado da boca do dragão.
17 The serpent grew angry with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
Então o dragão ficou muito zangado com a mulher. Portanto ele saiu para lutar contra as pessoas que são como o restante da prole dela. São estas as pessoas que obedecem aos mandamentos de Deus e falam de Jesus às demais pessoas.
