< Psalms 8 >

1 [For the Chief Musician; on an instrument of Gath. A Psalm by David.] LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth. You have put your glory upon the heavens.
Dawid dwom. Ao Awurade, yɛn Awurade, wo din kɛseyɛ ada adi ewiase afanan nyinaa. Wode wʼanimuonyam atimtim ɔsoro nohoa,
2 From the lips of children and infants you have established praise, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.
mmɔfra ne nkɔkoaa mpo de wɔn ano kamfo wo, wʼatamfoɔ nti; na wode bɔ atamfoɔ ne weretɔfoɔ ano.
3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have set in place;
Sɛ mehwɛ wo soro, wo nsateaa ano adwuma; ɔsrane ne nsoromma a wode obiara asi nʼafa a,
4 what is man, that you think of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
onipa ne hwan a wokae no, na onipa ba nso ne hwan a wʼani ku ne ho?
5 For you have made him a little lower than the angels. You have crowned him with glory and honor,
Wobɔɔ no ma ɔyɛɛ akumaa kakra sene abɔfoɔ na wode wʼanimuonyam ne anidie abɔ no abotire.
6 and you made him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:
Woyɛɛ no sodifoɔ maa wo nsa ano adwuma wode nneɛma nyinaa ahyɛ ne nan ase:
7 all sheep and cattle, and also the wild animals,
nnwankuo ne nantwikuo nyinaa ne wiram mmoa nso,
8 the birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
ewiem nnomaa ne ɛpo mu mpataa, deɛ ɛnenam ɛpo mu akwan so nyinaa.
9 LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.
Ao, Awurade, yɛn Awurade, wo din yɛ kɛseɛ wɔ asase nyinaa so! Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Wɔto no sɛdeɛ wɔto “Ɔba no wuo”.
