< Psalms 8 >

1 [For the Chief Musician; on an instrument of Gath. A Psalm by David.] LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth. You have put your glory upon the heavens.
David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. Woadzii ɖe gitit ƒe gbeɖiɖi nu. O Yehowa, míaƒe Aƒetɔ, aleke wò ŋkɔ ƒe gãnyenye yɔ anyigba katã dzi ale! Èɖo wò ŋutikɔkɔe anyi ɖe dziƒowo tame.
2 From the lips of children and infants you have established praise, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.
Èɖo kafukafu anyi ɖe ɖeviwo kple vi nonowo ƒe nu me le wò futɔwo ta be nàmia nu na futɔ kple hlɔ̃biala la.
3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have set in place;
Ne mekpɔ wò dziƒowo, siwo nye wò asinudɔwɔwɔwo, ne mekpɔ ɣleti kple ɣletiviwo, nu siwo nètsɔ ɖo wo nɔƒee la,
4 what is man, that you think of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
Nu kae nye amegbetɔ be wò ŋkuwo le eŋuti kple amegbetɔvi be nèléa be nɛ?
5 For you have made him a little lower than the angels. You have crowned him with glory and honor,
Èwɔe wòsɔ kple Mawu kloe, eye nètsɔ ŋutikɔkɔe kple bubu ɖɔ nɛ.
6 and you made him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:
Èwɔe be wòanye agbo ɖe wò asinudɔwɔwɔ dzi; eye nètsɔ nu sia nu de eƒe afɔ te.
7 all sheep and cattle, and also the wild animals,
Alẽhawo, nyihawo, gbemelãwo,
8 the birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
dziƒoxeviwo, ƒumelãwo kple nu siwo katã ƒua tsi le atsiaƒu me la le eƒe kpɔkplɔ te.
9 LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.
O Yehowa, míaƒe Aƒetɔ, aleke wò ŋkɔ ƒe gãnyenye yɔ anyigba katã dzi ale!
