< Psalms 69 >
1 [For the Chief Musician. To the tune of "Lilies." By David.] Save me, God, for the waters have come up to my neck.
Dawid dwom. Ao Onyankopɔn, gye me nkwa na nsuo no abɛdeda me kɔn mu.
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold. I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
Meremem wɔ atɛkyɛ a emu dɔ mu, wɔ baabi a me nan nnya siberɛ. Maduru subunu mu na nsuo abu afa me so.
3 I am weary with my crying. My throat is dry. My eyes fail, looking for my God.
Mafrɛ mabrɛ sɛ mepɛ mmoa. Me mene mu awe. Mʼani so ayɛ kusuu, na merehwehwɛ me Onyankopɔn.
4 Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head. Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty. I have to restore what I did not take away.
Wɔn a wɔtane me kwa no dɔɔso sene me tiri so nwi; wɔn a wɔtane me kwa no dɔɔso, wɔn a wɔhwehwɛ sɛ wɔbɛsɛe me no. Wɔhyɛ me sɛ mennane deɛ menwiaaɛ no mma.
5 God, you know my foolishness. My sins aren't hidden from you.
Ao Onyankopɔn, wonim me kwasea a mayɛ; mʼafɔdie nhintaa wo.
6 Do not let those who wait for you be put to shame because of me, LORD of hosts. Do not let those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, God of Israel.
Mma wɔn a wɔde wɔn ho to wo so no anim ngu ase ɛsiane me enti, Ao Awurade, Asafo Awurade; mma wɔn a wɔhwehwɛ wo no anim ngu ase me enti, Ao Israel Onyankopɔn.
7 Because for your sake I suffer insults. Shame has covered my face.
Wo enti wobu me animtiaa, na aniwuo akata mʼanim.
8 I have become a stranger to my brothers, a foreigner to my mother's children.
Mete sɛ ɔhɔhoɔ wɔ me nuanom mu, mete sɛ ɔmamfrani wɔ me maame mmammarima mu,
9 For the zeal of your house consumes me. The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.
na wo fie ho mmɔdemmɔ hyɛ me so, wɔn a wɔbɔ wo ahohora no animtiabuo abɛda me so.
10 When I wept and I fasted, it brought me insults.
Sɛ metwa adwo na medi mmuada a wɔbɔ me ahohora;
11 When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword to them.
sɛ mefira ayitoma a nnipa de me yɛ aseredeɛ.
12 Those who sit in the gate talk about me. I am the song of the drunkards.
Wɔn a wɔtete ɛpono no ano no sere me, na akɔwensafoɔ de me din to dwom.
13 But as for me, my prayer is to you, LORD, in an acceptable time. God, in the abundance of your loving kindness, answer me in the truth of your salvation.
Nanso mɛbɔ wo mpaeɛ, Ao Awurade, wɔ wʼadom berɛ mu; wɔ wʼadɔeɛ kɛseɛ no enti, Ao Onyankopɔn, fa wo nokorɛ nkwagyeɛ no gye me so.
14 Deliver me out of the mire, and do not let me sink. Let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.
Yi me firi atɛkyɛ no mu, mma memmem wɔ mu; gye me firi wɔn a wɔtane me no nsam, ne nsu bunu mu.
15 Do not let the flood waters overwhelm me, neither let the deep swallow me up. Do not let the pit shut its mouth on me.
Mma nsuo nnyiri mfa me anaa ebunu mmene me anaa amena nkata me so.
16 Answer me, LORD, for your loving kindness is good. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, turn to me.
Ao Awurade, gye me so firi wʼadɔeɛ a ɛyɛ no mu; wʼadom enti, dane bɛhwɛ me.
17 Do not hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress. Answer me speedily.
Mfa wʼanim nhinta wo ɔsomfoɔ; gye me so ntɛm, na mewɔ ɔhaw mu.
18 Draw near to my soul, and redeem it. Ransom me because of my enemies.
Twi bɛn me na gye me; gye me nkwa, mʼatamfoɔ enti.
19 You know how I am insulted, and my shame, and my disgrace. My adversaries are all before you.
Wonim sɛdeɛ wɔkasa tia me, gu mʼanim ase na wɔtiatia mʼanim; wʼani tua mʼatamfoɔ nyinaa.
20 Insults have broken my heart, so that I am in despair. I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; for comforters, but I found none.
Kasatia ahyɛ mʼakoma so ama mayɛ sɛ obi a ɔnni ɔboafoɔ; mepɛɛ awerɛkyekyerɛ nanso mannya bi, mepɛɛ ɔwerɛkyekyefoɔ, nanso manhunu bi.
21 They also gave me gall for my food. In my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink.
Wɔde bɔnwoma guu mʼaduane mu, osukɔm dee me no, wɔmaa me nsã nwononwono.
22 Let their table before them become a snare, and a retribution, and a trap, and a stumbling block.
Ma wɔn didipono a ɛsi wɔn anim nyi wɔn sɛ afidie; ma ɛnyɛ akatua ne afidie mma wɔn.
23 Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can't see, and make their backs weak continually.
Ma wɔn ani so nyɛ wɔn kusuu na wɔanhunu adeɛ, na ma wɔn akyi nkuntunu afebɔɔ.
24 Pour out your indignation on them. Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them.
Hwie wʼabufuhyeɛ gu wɔn so; na ma wʼabofuo huuhuuhu no mmra wɔn so.
25 Let their habitation be desolate, and let no one dwell in their tents.
Ma wɔn atenaeɛ nyɛ amamfo; mma obiara ntena wɔn ntomadan mu.
26 For they persecute him whom you have wounded. They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt.
Wɔtaa wɔn a wopira wɔn no, wɔka wɔn a wopira wɔn no amanehunu ho asɛm.
27 Charge them with crime upon crime. Do not let them come into your righteousness.
Fa amumuyɛ mu amumuyɛ ho soboɔ bɔ wɔn; mma wɔnnya wo nkwagyeɛ mu kyɛfa.
28 Let them be blotted out of the Book of Life, and not be written with the righteous.
Pepa wɔn din firi nkwa nwoma no mu, mfa wɔn din nka ateneneefoɔ deɛ ho.
29 But I am in pain and distress. Let your salvation, God, protect me.
Mewɔ ɔyea ne ahohiahia mu; Ao Onyankopɔn, ma wo nkwagyeɛ no mmɔ me ho ban.
30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
Mede dwomtoɔ bɛyi Onyankopɔn din ayɛ na mede aseda ahyɛ no animuonyam.
31 It will please the LORD better than an ox, or a bull that has horns and hoofs.
Yei bɛsɔ Awurade ani yie asene nantwie, asene nantwinini a ɔtua mmɛn na ɔwɔ tɔte.
32 The humble will see it and rejoice. You who seek after God, let your heart live.
Mmɔborɔni bɛhunu na nʼani agye, mo a mohwehwɛ Onyankopɔn no akoma bɛnya nkwa.
33 For the LORD hears the needy, and doesn't despise his captive people.
Awurade tie wɔn a adeɛ ahia wɔn, na ɔmmu ne nkurɔfoɔ nneduafoɔ animtiaa.
34 Let heaven and earth praise him; the seas, and everything that moves in them.
Ma ɔsoro ne asase nkamfo no, ɛpo ne deɛ ɛkeka ne ho wɔ mu nyinaa,
35 For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah. They shall settle there, and own it.
ɛfiri sɛ Onyankopɔn bɛgye Sion nkwa na wakyekyere Yuda nkuropɔn no bio. Afei nnipa bɛtena mu na ayɛ wɔn dea;
36 The children also of his servants shall inherit it. Those who love his name shall dwell in it.
Nʼasomfoɔ asefoɔ na wɔbɛfa hɔ, na wɔn a wɔdɔ ne din no bɛtena hɔ. Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ.
