< Psalms 6 >
1 [For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments, upon the eight-stringed lyre. A Psalm by David.] LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger, neither discipline me in your wrath.
Kwa mwimbishaji. Kwa ala za nyuzi za muziki. Mtindo wa sheminithi. Zaburi ya Daudi. Ee Bwana, usinikemee katika hasira yako, wala usiniadhibu katika ghadhabu yako.
2 Be gracious to me, LORD, for I am frail. LORD, heal me, for my bones are trembling.
Unirehemu Bwana, kwa maana nimedhoofika; Ee Bwana, uniponye, kwa maana mifupa yangu ina maumivu makali.
3 And my soul is greatly troubled. But you, LORD, how long?
Nafsi yangu ina uchungu mwingi. Mpaka lini, Ee Bwana, mpaka lini?
4 Return, LORD. Deliver my soul. Save me because of your lovingkindness.
Geuka Ee Bwana, unikomboe, uniokoe kwa sababu ya fadhili zako.
5 For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol, who shall give you thanks? (Sheol )
Hakuna mtu anayekukumbuka akiwa amekufa. Ni nani awezaye kukusifu akiwa kuzimu? (Sheol )
6 I am weary with my groaning. Every night I drench my bed; I melt my couch with my tears.
Nimechakaa kwa kulia kwa huzuni; usiku kucha nafurikisha kitanda changu kwa machozi; nimelowesha viti vyangu vya fahari kwa machozi.
7 My eye wastes away because of grief. It grows old because of all my adversaries.
Macho yangu yamedhoofika kwa kuhuzunika, yamedhoofika kwa sababu ya adui zangu wote.
8 Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping.
Kaeni mbali nami, ninyi nyote mtendao mabaya, kwa maana Bwana amesikia kulia kwangu.
9 The LORD has heard my plea. The LORD has accepted my prayer.
Bwana amesikia kilio changu kwa huruma, Bwana amekubali sala yangu.
10 May all my enemies be ashamed and greatly terrified. May they turn back, suddenly ashamed.
Adui zangu wote wataaibika na kufadhaika, watarudi nyuma kwa aibu ya ghafula.
