< Psalms 4 >

1 [For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. A Psalm by David.] Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness. You set me free in my distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer.
Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Wɔto wɔ sankuhoma so. Dawid dwom. Sɛ mesu frɛ wo a, gye me so, Ao, me tenenee Onyankopɔn. Ma me ahomegyeɛ wɔ mʼahohia mu; hunu me mmɔbɔ na tie me mpaeɛbɔ.
2 You sons of man, how long will you shame my honor, love what is worthless, chase after a lie? (Selah)
Ao mmarima, ɛnkɔsi da bɛn na mo bɛdane mʼanimuonyam ahohora? Ɛnkɔsi da bɛn na mobɛdɔ nneɛma hunu na moadi ahoni huhuo akyi?
3 But know that the LORD works wonders for his godly one; the LORD will hear when I call to him.
Hunu sɛ Awurade ayi deɛ ɔwɔ nyamesu ama ne ho; Awurade bɛtie, sɛ mesu mefrɛ no a.
4 Be angry, but do not sin. Ponder in your heart, but be at rest on your bed. (Selah)
Mo bo fu a, monnyɛ bɔne; sɛ modeda mo mpa so a, monyɛ komm na monhwehwɛ mo akoma mu.
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
Mommɔ afɔdeɛ a ɛfata na momfa mo werɛ nhyɛ Awurade mu.
6 Many say, "Who will show us any good?" LORD, lift up the light of your face upon us.
Nnipa bebree bisa sɛ: “Hwan na ɔbɛtumi ayɛ yɛn adɔeɛ?” Ao Awurade, ma wʼanim hann no nhyerɛn yɛn so.
7 You have put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and wine and oil abound.
Wode anigyeɛ mmorosoɔ ahyɛ mʼakoma ma asene ɛberɛ a wɔn aburoo ne nsã foforɔ abu so no.
8 In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me live in safety.
Mɛtɔ hɔ, na mada asomdwoeɛ mu, ɛfiri sɛ, wo nko ara, Ao Awurade, na woma metena asomdwoeɛ mu.
