< Psalms 21 >
1 [For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] The king rejoices in your strength, LORD. How greatly he rejoices in your salvation.
Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Dawid dwom. Ao Awurade, ɔhene no anigye wɔ wʼahoɔden mu. Nʼani gye mmorosoɔ wɔ nkonimdie a wo ma no nti!
2 You have given him his heart's desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. (Selah)
Woama no deɛ nʼakoma pɛ; woamfa nʼabisadeɛ ankame no.
3 For you meet him with the blessings of goodness. You set a crown of fine gold on his head.
Wode nhyira a ɛdi mu hyiaa no na wode sikakɔkɔɔ amapa ahenkyɛ hyɛɛ no.
4 He asked life of you, you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever.
Ɔbisaa wo hɔ nkwa, na wode maa no, nna tentene a ɛnni awieeɛ.
5 His glory is great in your salvation. You lay honor and majesty on him.
Nkonimdie a woma no enti, nʼanimuonyam so; wode kɛseyɛ ne anidie adom no.
6 For you make him most blessed forever. You make him glad with joy in your presence.
Ampa ara, woama no nhyira a ɛnsa da na wo nsrahwɛ ama me ho ahosɛpɛ me.
7 For the king trusts in the LORD. Through the loving kindness of the Most High, he shall not be moved.
Ɔhene no de ne ho to Awurade so; Ɔsorosoroni no nokorɛ dɔ no enti, Ɔhene renhinhim.
8 Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find all those who hate you.
Wo nsa bɛka wʼatamfoɔ nyinaa; wo nsa nifa bɛsɔ wɔn a wɔkyiri woɔ mu.
9 You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. The LORD will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them.
Ɛberɛ a wobɛyi wo ho adi no wobɛyɛ wɔn sɛ fononoo a emu adɔ. Awurade firi nʼabufuhyeɛ mu bɛmene wɔn, na ne ogya no ahye wɔn.
10 You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from among the descendants of Adam.
Wobɛtɔre wɔn ase wɔ asase so, na wɔn asefoɔ afiri adasamma mu.
11 Though they intend evil against you, devising a wicked scheme, they will not succeed.
Ɛwom sɛ wɔbɔ pɔ tia wo na wɔyɛ nhyehyɛeɛ bɔne, nanso wɔrenni nkonim;
12 For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face.
ɛfiri sɛ wobɛma wɔasane wɔn akyi ɛberɛ a woatwe bɛmma akyerɛ wɔn so.
13 Be exalted, LORD, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power.
Yɛma wo so, Ao Awurade, wɔ wʼahoɔden mu; yɛbɛto nnwom na yɛakamfo wo kɛseyɛ.
