Psalms 11

1 [For the Chief Musician. By David.] In the LORD, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain."

برای رهبر سرایندگان. مزمور داوود. چرا به من که به خداوند پناه برده‌ام می‌گویید: «مثل پرنده به کوهها فرار کن

2 For, look, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrows on the strings, that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.

زیرا شریران در کمین عادلان نشسته‌اند و تیرهای خود را به کمان نهاده‌اند تا ایشان را هدف قرار دهند.

3 If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?

پایه‌های نظم و قانون فرو ریخته، پس عادلان چه می‌توانند بکنند؟»

4 The LORD is in his holy temple. The LORD is on his throne in heaven. His eyes look upon the poor. His eyes examine the descendants of Adam.

اما خداوند هنوز در خانهٔ مقدّس خود است، او همچنان بر تخت آسمانی خود نشسته است. خداوند انسانها را می‌بیند و می‌داند که آنها چه می‌کنند.

5 The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence his soul hates.

خداوند بدکاران و درستکاران را امتحان می‌کند. او از آدم بدکار و ظالم بیزار است.

6 On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

او بر بدکاران آتش و گوگرد خواهد بارانید و با بادهای سوزان آنها را خواهد سوزانید.

7 For the LORD is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright shall see his face.

خداوند عادل است و انصاف را دوست دارد و درستکاران در حضور او خواهند زیست.
