Psalms 10
1 Why do you stand far off, LORD? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
Dlaczego, PANIE, stoisz z daleka? [Dlaczego] ukrywasz się w czasie niedoli?
2 In arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak. They are caught in the schemes that they devise.
Niegodziwy w swej pysze prześladuje ubogiego, niech niegodziwi uwikłają się w zamysły, które uknuli.
3 For the wicked boasts of his heart's cravings, and he blesses the greedy, scorning the LORD.
Bo niegodziwy chełpi się pragnieniem swej duszy, a chciwiec błogosławi [sobie i] znieważa PANA.
4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek. All his thoughts are "There is no God."
Niegodziwy przez pychę, którą po sobie pokazuje, nie szuka [Boga]; całe jego myślenie to że nie ma Boga.
5 His ways are firm at all times. Your judgments are turned aside. As for all his adversaries, he sneers at them.
Jego drogi zawsze są ciężkie, twoje sądy są zbyt daleko od niego, parska na wszystkich swoich wrogów.
6 He says in his heart, "I shall not be shaken. From generation to generation I shall not experience calamity."
Mówi w swoim sercu: Nie zachwieję się, nie [zaznam] zła po wszystkie pokolenia.
7 His mouth is full of cursing and bitterness and oppression. Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.
Jego usta pełne są przekleństw, zdrady i podstępu, pod jego językiem krzywda i nieprawość.
8 He lies in wait near the villages. From ambushes, he murders the innocent. His eyes are secretly set against the helpless.
Siedzi w zasadzkach wsi, w ukryciach zabija niewinnego, jego oczy wypatrują ubogiego.
9 He lurks in secret as a lion in his ambush. He lies in wait to catch the helpless. He catches the helpless, when he draws him in his net.
Czyha w kryjówce jak lew w swej jaskini; czatuje, by schwytać ubogiego, porywa go i wciąga w swe sieci.
10 The helpless are crushed. They collapse. They fall under his strength.
Schyla się, zniża się, od jego mocy padają ubodzy.
11 He says in his heart, "God has forgotten. He hides his face. He will never see it."
Mówi w swym sercu: Bóg zapomniał, zakrył swoje oblicze, nigdy nie zobaczy.
12 Arise, LORD. God, lift up your hand. Do not forget the helpless.
Powstań, PANIE Boże, podnieś swą rękę; nie zapominaj o ubogich.
13 Why does the wicked person condemn God, and say in his heart, "You will not seek (an accounting)."
Dlaczego niegodziwy znieważa Boga? Mówi w swym sercu: Nie będziesz się upominał.
14 But you do see trouble and grief. You consider it to take it into your hand. You help the victim and the fatherless.
Lecz ty widzisz utrapienie i patrzysz na krzywdę, aby za nie odpłacić twą ręką. Na ciebie się zdaje ubogi, ty jesteś pomocnikiem sierocie.
15 Break the arm of the wicked. As for the evil man, seek out his wickedness until you find none.
Złam ramię niegodziwego i złego, dochodź jego nieprawości, aż jej już nie będzie.
16 The LORD is King forever and ever. The nations have perished from his land.
PAN [jest] Królem na wieki wieków, z jego ziemi zniknęły narody.
17 LORD, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,
Usłyszałeś pragnienia pokornych, PANIE, utwierdzisz ich serca, nakłonisz swego ucha;
18 to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more.
Aby bronić sieroty i udręczonego, aby śmiertelny człowiek nie gnębił już na ziemi.
