Mark 8
1 In those days, when there was a large crowd, and they had nothing to eat, he called the disciples to himself, and said to them,
ⲁ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲞⲚ ⲈϤϢⲞⲠ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲈϤⲞϢ ϨⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲠⲈⲦⲞⲨⲚⲀⲞⲨⲞⲘϤ ⲀϤⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲚⲒⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ
2 "I have compassion on the crowd, because they have stayed with me now three days, and have nothing to eat.
ⲃ̅ϪⲈ ϮϢⲈⲚϨⲎⲦ ϦⲀ ⲠⲀⲒⲘⲎϢ ϪⲈ ⲒⲤ Ⲅ- ⲚⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲤⲈⲞϨⲒ ϨⲀⲢⲞⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲠⲈⲦⲞⲨⲚⲀⲞⲨⲞⲘϤ
3 If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, and some of them have come a long way."
ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲀⲒϢⲀⲚⲬⲀⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈⲠⲞⲨⲎⲒ ⲚⲀⲦⲞⲨⲰⲘ ⲤⲈⲚⲀⲂⲰⲖ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒ ⲠⲒⲘⲰⲒⲦ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲀⲨϨⲒⲪⲞⲨⲈⲒ ⲠⲈ.
4 His disciples answered him, "From where could one satisfy these people with bread here in a deserted place?"
ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲒⲘ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲐⲰⲚ ϨⲀ ⲘⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲤⲒ ⲚⲰⲒⲔ ϨⲒ ⲠϢⲀϤⲈ.
5 He asked them, "How many loaves do you have?" They said, "Seven."
ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀϤϢⲒⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲎⲢ ⲚⲰⲒⲔ ⲚⲦⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ Ⲍ-.
6 He commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them, and gave them to his disciples to serve, and they served the crowd.
ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤϨⲞⲚϨⲈⲚ ⲚⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲘⲠⲒⲘⲎϢ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲤⲈⲢⲰⲦⲈⲂ ϨⲒϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲔⲀϨⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤϬ ⲒⲘⲠⲒⲌ ⲚⲰⲒⲔ ⲀϤϢⲈⲠϨⲘⲞⲦ ⲀϤⲪⲀϢⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤϮ ⲚⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨⲬⲰ ϦⲀⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲬⲰ ⲚⲀϨⲢⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲘⲎϢ
7 They had a few small fish. Having blessed them, he said to serve these also.
ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲔⲞⲨϪⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲂⲦ ⲚⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲤⲘⲞⲨ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲀϤϪⲞⲤ ⲈⲐⲢⲞⲨⲬ ⲰⲚⲚⲀⲒⲔⲈⲬⲰⲞⲨⲚⲒ ⲚⲀϨⲢⲀⲨ.
8 They ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets of broken pieces that were left over.
ⲏ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲞⲨⲰⲘ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲤⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲰⲖⲒ ⲚⲚⲒϨⲞⲨⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲖⲀⲔϨ ⲌⲘⲂⲒⲢ
9 Now they were about four thousand. Then he sent them away.
ⲑ̅ⲚⲀⲨⲒⲢⲒ ⲚⲆ ⲚϢⲞ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲬⲀⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ.
10 Immediately he entered into the boat with his disciples, and came into the region of Dalmanutha.
ⲓ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲀⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲀϤⲀⲖⲎⲒ ⲈⲠⲒϪⲞⲒ ⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲚⲒⲤⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲆⲀⲖⲘⲀⲚⲞⲨⲐⲀ.
11 The Pharisees came out and began to question him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, and testing him.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲪⲀⲢⲒⲤⲈⲞⲤ ⲀⲨⲈⲢϨⲎⲦⲤ ⲚⲔⲰϮ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ ⲈⲨⲔⲰϮ ⲚⲤⲀⲞⲨⲘⲎⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲪⲈ ⲈⲨⲈⲢⲠⲒⲢⲀⲌⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
12 He sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation."
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤϤⲒⲀϨⲞⲘ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲈϤⲠⲚⲈⲨⲘⲀⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲀϦⲞ ⲠⲀⲒϪⲰⲞⲨ ϤⲔⲰϮ ⲚⲤⲀⲞⲨⲘⲎ ⲒⲚⲒ ⲀⲘⲎⲚ ϮϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚ ⲤⲈⲚⲀϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲘⲎⲒⲚⲒ ⲘⲠⲀⲒϪⲰⲞⲨ.
13 And he left them, and got into the boat again, and went to the other side.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲬⲀⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲀϤⲀⲖⲎⲒ ⲀϤϢⲈ ⲈⲘⲎⲢ
14 Now they forgot to take bread; and they did not have more than one loaf in the boat with them.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲈⲢⲠⲰⲂϢ ⲈϬⲒ ⲰⲒⲔ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲈⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϨⲖⲒ ⲚⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ ϨⲒ ⲠⲒϪⲞⲒ ⲈⲂⲎⲖ ⲈⲞⲨⲰⲒⲔ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ
15 He warned them, saying, "Watch out; guard yourselves against the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod."
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀϤϨⲞⲚϨⲈⲚ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲀⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀ ⲠϢⲈⲘⲎⲢ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲪⲀⲢⲒⲤⲈⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠϢⲈⲘⲎⲢ ⲚⲎⲢⲰⲆⲎⲤ
16 And they began discussing among themselves that they had no bread.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨⲘⲞⲔⲘⲈⲔ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲢⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲰⲒⲔ ⲚⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ.
17 He, perceiving it, said to them, "Why do you reason that it's because you have no bread? Do you not perceive yet, neither understand? Are your hearts hardened?
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲈⲘⲒ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲀϦⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲘⲞⲔⲘⲈⲔ ϪⲈ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲰⲒⲔ ⲚⲦⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲀⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲘⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲔⲀϮ ⲀⲚ ϤⲐⲎⲘ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚϨⲎⲦ
18 Having eyes, do you not see? Having ears, do you not hear? Do you not remember?
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϨⲀⲚⲂⲀⲖ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲨ ⲘⲂⲞⲖ ⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϨⲀⲚⲘⲀϢϪ ⲈⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲀⲚ
19 When I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" They told him, "Twelve."
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲘⲠⲒⲈ ⲚⲰⲒⲔ ⲈⲦⲀⲒⲪⲀϢⲞⲨ ⲈϨⲢⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲈ ⲚϢⲞ ϪⲈ ⲀⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲖ ⲞⲨⲎⲢ ⲚⲔⲞⲦ ⲚⲖⲀⲔϨ ⲈⲨⲘⲈϨ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲒⲂ.
20 "When the seven loaves fed the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" And they said, "Seven."
ⲕ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲒⲌ ⲈϨⲢⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲆ ⲚϢⲞ ϪⲈ ⲀⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲖ ⲞⲨⲎⲢ ⲘⲂⲒⲢ ⲈⲨⲘⲈϨ ⲚⲖⲀⲔϨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ Ⲍ-.
21 He asked them, "Do you not yet understand?"
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲠⲰⲤ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲔⲀϮ ⲀⲚ.
22 He came to Bethsaida. They brought a blind man to him, and begged Jesus to touch him.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲒ ⲈⲂⲎⲐⲤⲀⲒⲆⲀ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚⲞⲨⲂⲈⲖⲖⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨϮϨⲞ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤϬⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ
23 He took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village. When he had spit on his eyes, and laid his hands on him, he asked him if he saw anything.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲚⲦϪⲒϪ ⲘⲠⲒⲂⲈⲖⲖⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲈⲚϤ ⲤⲀⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲠⲒϮⲘⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤϨⲒⲐⲀϤ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲈϤⲂⲀⲖ ⲀϤⲬⲀ ⲚⲈϤϪⲒϪ ϨⲒϪⲰϤ ⲚⲀϤϢⲒⲚⲒ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲔⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲞϤ.
24 He looked up, and said, "I see people; they look like trees walking."
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲚⲀⲨ ⲘⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲀϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ϮⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚϨⲀⲚϢϢⲎ ⲚⲈⲨⲘⲞϢⲒ.
25 Then again he laid his hands on his eyes. He made him look up, and was restored, and saw everything clearly.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲒⲦⲀ ⲞⲚ ⲀϤⲬⲀ ⲚⲈϤϪⲒϪ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲈϤⲂⲀⲖ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲚⲀⲨ ⲘⲂⲞⲖ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲞⲨϪⲀⲒ ⲀϤⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲠⲦⲎⲢϤ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲰⲚϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ.
26 He sent him away to his house, saying, "Do not enter into the village."
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲞⲨⲞⲢⲠϤ ⲈⲠⲈϤⲎⲒ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲠⲈⲢϢⲈ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲠⲒϮⲘⲒ.
27 Jesus went out, with his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that I am?"
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎ ⲦⲎⲤ ⲈⲚⲒϮⲘⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲔⲈⲤⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲒⲖⲒⲠⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲘⲰⲒⲦ ⲚⲀϤϢⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎ ⲦⲎⲤ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ. ϪⲈ ⲀⲢⲈ ⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲚⲒⲘ.
28 And they said to him, saying, "John the Baptist, and others say Elijah, but others: one of the prophets."
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲨϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲒⲰⲀⲚⲚⲎⲤ ⲠⲒⲢⲈϤϮⲰⲘⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲬⲰⲞⲨⲚⲒ ϪⲈ ⲎⲖⲒⲀⲤ ϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲬⲰⲞⲨⲚⲒ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲠⲢⲞⲪⲎ ⲦⲎⲤ.
29 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered and said to him, "You are the Messiah."
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲚⲀϤϢⲒⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲚⲒⲘ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲬⲤ
30 He commanded them that they should tell no one about him.
ⲗ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲈⲠⲒⲦⲒⲘⲀⲚ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲤⲈϢⲦⲈⲘϪⲞⲤ ⲚϨⲖⲒ ⲈⲐⲂⲎⲦϤ.
31 He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲈⲢϨⲎⲦⲤ ⲚϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ϨⲰϮ ⲚⲦⲈⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ ϬⲒ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲚϦⲒⲤⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϢⲞϢϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲚⲒⲠⲢⲈⲤⲂⲨⲦⲈⲢⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲤⲀϦ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϦⲞⲐⲂⲈϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲈⲚⲈⲚⲤⲀ Ⲅ- ⲚⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲦⲰⲚϤ.
32 He spoke to them openly. Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲠⲀⲢⲢⲎ ⲤⲒⲀ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲀϤⲈⲢϨⲎⲦⲤ ⲚⲈⲢⲈⲠⲒⲦⲒⲘⲀⲚ ⲚⲀϤ.
33 But he, turning around, and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and said, "Get behind me, Satan. For you have in mind not the things of God, but the things of humans."
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲪⲞⲚϨϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲈⲠⲒⲦⲒⲘⲀⲚ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲀϢⲈ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲤⲀⲪⲀϨⲞⲨ ⲘⲘⲞⲒ ⲠⲤⲀⲦⲀⲚⲀⲤ ϪⲈ ⲬⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲚⲀ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲚⲀ ⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ.
34 He called the crowd to himself with his disciples, and said to them, "If anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲠⲒⲘⲎϢ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲐⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲈⲒ ⲤⲀⲘⲈⲚϨⲎⲒ ⲘⲀⲢⲈϤϪⲞⲖϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲰⲖⲒ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲤⲦⲀⲨⲢⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲞⲨⲀϨϤ ⲚⲤⲰⲒ
35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the gospel will save it.
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲪⲎ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲈⲚⲞϨⲈⲘ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲮⲨⲬⲎ ⲈϤⲈⲦⲀⲔⲞⲤ ⲪⲎ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲦⲀⲔⲞ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲮⲨⲬⲎ ⲈⲐⲂⲎⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲠⲒⲈⲨⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲒⲞⲚ ⲈϤⲈⲚⲀϨⲘⲈⲤ.
36 For what does it profit a person to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲞⲨ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲠⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲚⲀϪⲈⲘϨⲎⲞⲨ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲀϤϢⲀⲚϪⲈⲘϨⲎⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲦⲎⲢϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈϤϮⲞⲤⲒ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲮⲨⲬⲎ.
37 Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ⲪⲎ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲠⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲚⲀⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲦϢⲈⲂⲒⲰ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲮⲨⲬⲎ.
38 For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."
