< Mark 14 >

1 It was now two days before the feast of the Passover and the unleavened bread, and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might seize him by deception, and kill him.
ⲁ̅ⲚⲈ ⲚⲒⲠⲀⲤⲬⲀ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲀⲦϢⲈⲘⲎ ⲢⲘⲈⲚⲈⲚⲤⲀ ⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨⲔⲰϮ ⲠⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲤⲀϦ ϪⲈ ⲠⲰⲤ ⲚⲦⲞⲨⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲬⲢⲞϤ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϦⲞⲐⲂⲈϤ
2 For they said, "Not during the feast, because there might be a riot of the people."
ⲃ̅ⲚⲀⲨϪⲰ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲠⲈ ϪⲈ ⲘⲠⲈⲚⲐⲢⲈⲚⲀⲒⲤ ϦⲈⲚⲠϢⲀⲒ ⲘⲎⲠⲞⲦⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨϢⲐⲞⲢⲦⲈⲢ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲖⲀⲞⲤ
3 While he was at Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he was reclining, a woman came having an alabaster jar of ointment of pure nard—very costly. She broke the jar, and poured it over his head.
ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤⲬⲎ ϦⲈⲚⲂⲎⲐⲀⲚⲒⲀ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲎⲒ ⲚⲤⲒⲘⲰⲚ ⲠⲒⲔⲀⲔⲤⲈϨⲦ ⲈϤⲢⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲀⲤⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨⲤϨⲒⲘⲒ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲘⲞⲔⲒ ⲚⲤⲞϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲚⲀⲢⲆⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲞⲦⲤ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲦⲒⲔⲎ ⲈⲚⲀϢⲈ ⲚⲤⲞⲨⲈⲚϤ ⲈⲀⲤϦⲞⲘϦⲈⲘ ⲘⲠⲒⲘⲞⲔⲒ ⲈⲀⲤϪⲞϢϤ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲦⲈϤⲀⲪⲈ.
4 But there were some who were indignant among themselves, and saying, "Why has this ointment been wasted?
ⲇ̅ⲚⲀⲢⲈ ϨⲀⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲬⲢⲈⲘⲢⲈⲘ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲢⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲞⲨ Ⲁ- ⲠⲀⲒⲦⲀⲔⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲀⲒⲤⲞϪⲈⲚ ϢⲰⲠⲒ
5 For this ointment might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii, and given to the poor." They grumbled against her.
ⲉ̅ⲚⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈϮ ⲘⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲤⲀⲠϢⲰⲒ ⲚⲦ ⲚⲤⲀⲐⲈⲢⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲞⲨⲦⲎ ⲒⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲚⲒϨⲎⲔⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨⲘⲂⲞⲚ ⲈⲢⲞⲤ ⲠⲈ.
6 But Jesus said, "Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for me.
ⲋ̅ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲬⲀⲤ ⲀϦⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϮϦⲒⲤⲒ ⲚⲀⲤ ⲞⲨϨⲰⲂ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲚⲀⲚⲈϤ ⲈⲦⲀⲤⲈⲢϨⲰⲂ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲚϦⲎⲦ.
7 For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want to, you can do them good; but you will not always have me.
ⲍ̅ⲚⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲚⲒϨⲎⲔⲒ ⲤⲈⲚⲈⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈⲈⲢⲠⲈⲐⲚⲀⲚⲈϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲆⲈ ϮⲚⲈⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲀⲚ.
8 She has done what she could. She has anointed my body beforehand for the burying.
ⲏ̅ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲤϬⲒⲦϤ ⲀⲤⲀⲒϤ ⲀⲤⲈⲢϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲐⲀϨⲤ ⲠⲀⲤⲰⲘⲀ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲤⲞϪⲈⲚ ⲈⲠϪⲒⲚⲔⲞⲤⲦ.
9 Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel may be preached throughout the whole world, that which this woman has done will also be spoken of for a memorial of her."
ⲑ̅ⲀⲘⲎⲚ ϮϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲦⲞⲨⲚⲀϨⲒⲰⲒϢ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲈⲨⲀⲄⲄⲖⲒⲞⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲦⲎⲢϤ ⲪⲎ ϨⲰϤ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲐⲀⲒ ⲀⲒϤ ⲈⲨⲈⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲨⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲚⲀⲤ.
10 Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went away to the chief priests, that he might deliver him to them.
ⲓ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲤ ⲠⲒⲤⲔⲀⲢⲒⲰⲦⲎⲤ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲒ ⲀϤϢⲈ ⲚⲀϤ ϨⲀ ⲚⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ.
11 They, when they heard it, were glad, and promised to give him money. He sought how he might conveniently deliver him.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲀⲨⲢⲀϢⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨϮ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚⲞⲨϨⲀⲦ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀϤⲔⲰϮ ⲠⲈ ϪⲈ ⲠⲰⲤ ϤⲚⲀⲦⲎⲒϤ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲈⲨⲔⲈⲢⲒⲀ
12 On the first day of unleavened bread, when they sacrificed the Passover lamb, his disciples asked him, "Where do you want us to go and make ready that you may eat the Passover?"
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲒϨⲞⲨⲒⲦ ⲚⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲀⲦϢⲈⲘⲎ ⲢϨⲞⲦⲈ ⲈⲨϢⲰⲦ ⲘⲠⲒⲠⲀⲤⲬⲀ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ϪⲈ ⲬⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲚⲦⲈⲚϢⲈ ⲈⲐⲰⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲤⲞⲂϮ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲔⲞⲨⲰⲘ ⲘⲠⲒⲠⲀⲤⲬ Ⲁ
13 He sent two of his disciples, and said to them, "Go into the city, and there you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water. Follow him,
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲞⲨⲰⲢⲠ ⲚⲚⲦⲈ ⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎ ⲦⲎⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲘⲀϢⲈ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈϮⲂⲀⲔⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϤⲚⲀⲈⲢⲀⲠⲀⲚⲦⲀⲚ ⲈⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈϤϤⲀⲒ ⲚⲞⲨϢⲞϢⲞⲨ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲘⲞϢⲒ ⲚⲤⲰϤ
14 and wherever he enters in, tell the master of the house, 'The Teacher says, "Where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?"'
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲦⲈϤⲚⲀϢⲈ ⲚⲀϤ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲀϪⲞⲤ ⲘⲠⲒⲚⲈⲂⲎⲒ ϪⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲠⲒⲢⲈϤϮⲤⲂⲰ ϪⲈ ⲀϤⲐⲰⲚ ⲠⲒⲘⲀⲚⲘⲦⲞⲚ ⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈϮⲚⲀⲞⲨⲰⲘ ⲘⲠⲒⲠⲀⲤⲬⲀ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲀⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ.
15 He will himself show you a large upper room furnished and ready. Make ready for us there."
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ϤⲚⲀⲦⲀⲘⲈ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲈⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲘⲘⲀ ⲈϤϬⲞⲤⲒ ⲈϤⲪⲞⲢϢ ⲈϤⲤⲈⲂⲦⲰⲦ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲈⲂⲦⲰⲦϤ ⲚⲀⲚ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ.
16 The disciples went out, and came into the city, and found things as he had said to them, and they prepared the Passover.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎ ⲦⲎⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲒ ⲈϮⲂⲀⲔⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨϪⲒⲘⲒ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲤⲈⲂⲦⲈ ⲠⲒⲠⲀⲤⲬⲀ
17 When it was evening he came with the twelve.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲢⲞⲨϨⲒ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲀϤⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲒⲂ.
18 And as they were reclining and eating, Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me—he who eats with me."
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲈⲨⲢⲞⲦⲈⲂ ⲆⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲞⲨⲰⲘ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲘⲎⲚ ϮϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲠⲈⲐⲚⲀⲦⲎ ⲒⲦ ϦⲀ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲐⲞⲨⲰⲘ ⲚⲈⲘⲎⲒ
19 And they began to be sorrowful, and to say to him one by one, "Surely not I?" And another said, "Surely not I?"
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲀⲨⲈⲢϨⲎⲦⲤ ⲚⲈⲢⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ϪⲈ ⲘⲎⲦⲒ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ
20 He said to them, "It is one of the twelve, he who dips with me in the dish.
ⲕ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲒⲂ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲈⲠ ⲦⲈϤϪⲒϪ ⲚⲈⲘⲎⲒ ϦⲈⲚϮϪⲎ.
21 For the Son of Man goes, even as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had not been born."
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ϪⲈ ⲠⲰⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲈⲚ ⲘⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ ϤⲚⲀϢⲈ ⲚⲀϤ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲤϦⲎⲞⲨⲦ ⲈⲐⲂⲎⲦϤ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲘⲠⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲞⲨⲚⲀϮ ⲘⲠϢⲎ ⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲚⲀⲚⲈⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ⲠⲈ ⲘⲠⲞⲨⲘⲀⲤϤ ⲠⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ.
22 As they were eating, he took bread, and when he had blessed, he broke it, and gave to them, and said, "Take; this is my body."
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲞⲨⲰⲘ ⲈⲦⲀϤϬⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲰⲒⲔ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲘⲞⲨ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲀϤⲪⲀϢϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤϮ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ϬⲒ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲀⲤⲰⲘⲀ.
23 He took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave to them. They all drank of it.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲈⲦⲀϤϬⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲀⲪⲞⲦ ⲀϤϢⲈⲠϨⲘⲞⲦ ⲀϤϮ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲤⲰ ⲚϦⲎⲦϤ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ.
24 He said to them, "This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲀⲤⲚⲞϤ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲆⲒⲀⲐⲎⲔⲎ ⲈⲦⲞⲨⲚⲀⲪⲞⲚϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲈⲠϪⲒⲚⲬⲰ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲚⲞⲂⲒ.
25 Truly I tell you, I will no more drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it anew in the Kingdom of God."
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲀⲘⲎⲚ ϮϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ⲚⲚⲀⲤⲰ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲞⲨⲦⲀϨ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲀⲒⲂⲰ ⲚⲀⲖⲞⲖⲒ ϢⲀ ⲠⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲦⲎ ϨⲞⲦⲀⲚ ⲀⲒϢⲀⲚⲤⲞϤ ⲘⲂⲈⲢⲒ ϦⲈⲚϮⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
26 When they had sung the hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲤⲘⲞⲨ ⲀⲨⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈⲠⲒⲦⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒϪⲰⲒⲦ
27 Jesus said to them, "All of you will fall away, for it is written, 'I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.'
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϪⲈ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲈⲢⲤⲔⲀⲚⲆⲀⲖⲒⲌⲈⲤⲐⲈ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲎⲒ ⲤⲤϦⲎⲞⲨⲦ ϪⲈ ϮⲚⲀϢⲀⲢⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲘⲀⲚⲈⲤⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲤⲈϪⲰⲢ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲈⲤⲰⲞⲨ.
28 However, after I am raised up, I will go before you into Galilee."
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲘⲈⲚⲈⲚⲤⲀ ⲐⲢⲒⲦⲰⲚⲦ ϮⲚⲀⲈⲢϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲈⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈϮⲄⲀⲖⲒⲖⲈⲀ.
29 But Peter said to him, "Although all will be offended, yet I will not."
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲔⲀⲚ ⲀⲨϢⲀⲚⲈⲢⲤⲔⲀⲚⲆⲀⲖⲒⲌⲈⲤⲐⲈ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲀⲚ.
30 Jesus said to him, "Truly I tell you, that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times."
ⲗ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲘⲎⲚ ϮϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲀⲔ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲘⲪⲞⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲀⲒⲈϪⲰⲢϨ ⲘⲠⲀⲦⲈ ⲞⲨⲀⲖⲈⲔⲦⲰⲢ ⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲤⲞⲠ ⲬⲚⲀϪⲞⲖⲦ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲚⲤⲞⲠ
31 But he insisted, "If I must die with you, I will not deny you." They all said the same thing.
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲀϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦϨⲞⲨⲞ ϪⲈ ⲔⲀⲚ ⲀⲤϢⲀⲚⲪⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲀⲘⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘⲀⲔ ⲚⲚⲀϪⲞⲖⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲆⲈ ⲞⲚ ⲚⲀⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ
32 They came to a place which was named Gethsemane. He said to his disciples, "Sit here, while I pray."
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲒ ⲈⲨⲒⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲠⲈϤⲢⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲄⲈⲐⲤⲎⲘⲀⲚⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ϪⲈ ϨⲈⲘⲤⲒ ϨⲀⲘⲚⲀⲒ ϨⲰⲤ ϮⲈⲢⲠⲢⲞⲤⲈⲨⲬⲈⲤⲐⲈ
33 He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲰⲖⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲒⲀⲔⲰⲂⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲒⲰⲀⲚⲚⲎⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲈⲢϨⲎ ⲦⲤ ⲚϢⲐⲞⲢⲦⲈⲢ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲈⲢⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚϨⲎⲦ.
34 He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here, and watch."
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲦⲀⲮⲨⲬⲎ ⲘⲞⲔϨ ϢⲀ ⲈϦⲢⲎⲒ ⲈⲪⲘⲞⲨ ⲞϨⲒ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲘⲀ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲢⲰⲒⲤ.
35 He went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass away from him.
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲒⲚⲒ ⲈⲦϨⲎ ⲚⲞⲨⲔⲞⲨϪⲒ ⲚⲀϤϨⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚϦⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲔⲀϨⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀϤⲈⲢⲠⲢⲞⲤⲈⲨⲬⲈⲤⲐⲈ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ ⲤⲒⲚⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀⲢⲞϤ.
36 He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire."
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲂⲂⲀ ⲪⲒⲰⲦ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲈϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ϦⲀⲦⲞⲦⲔ ⲘⲀⲢⲈ ⲠⲒⲀⲪⲞⲦ ⲤⲒⲚⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀⲢⲞⲒ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲈϨⲚⲎⲒ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲀⲚ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲈϨⲚⲀⲔ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ.
37 He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour?
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲒ ⲀϤϪⲈⲘⲞⲨ ⲈⲨⲚⲔⲞⲦ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲤⲒⲘⲰⲚ ⲔⲚⲔⲞⲦ ⲘⲠⲈⲔϢϪⲈⲘϪⲞⲘ ⲚⲢⲰⲒⲤ ⲚⲈⲘⲎⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ.
38 Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲢⲰⲒⲤ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲢⲒⲠⲢⲞⲤⲈⲨⲬⲈⲤⲐⲈ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲦⲈⲘⲒ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲠⲒⲢⲀⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲠⲒⲠⲚⲈⲨⲘⲀⲘⲈⲚ ϤⲢⲰⲞⲨⲦ ϮⲤⲀⲢⲜ ⲆⲈ ⲞⲨⲀⲤⲐⲈⲚⲎⲤ ⲦⲈ.
39 Again he went away, and prayed, saying the same words.
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲀⲖⲒⲚ ⲈⲦⲀϤϢⲈ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚⲀϤⲈⲢⲠⲢⲞⲤⲈⲨⲬ ⲈⲤⲐⲈ ⲀϤϪⲈ ⲠⲀⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲢⲰ
40 Again he came and found them sleeping again, for their eyes were very heavy, and they did not know what to answer him.
ⲙ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲒ ⲞⲚ ⲀϤϪⲈⲘⲞⲨ ⲈⲨⲚⲔⲞⲦ ⲚⲀⲢⲈ ⲚⲞⲨⲂⲀⲖ ⲄⲀⲢ ϨⲞⲢϢ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨⲈⲘⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈⲦⲞⲨⲚⲀⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚⲀϤ.
41 He came the third time, and said to them, "Sleep on now, and take your rest. It is enough. The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲘⲀϨⲄ ⲚⲤⲞⲠ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲚⲔⲞⲦ ϪⲈ ⲀⲤⲒ ⲚϪⲈϮⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ⲤⲈⲚⲀϮ ⲘⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈⲚⲈⲚϪⲒϪ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲢⲈϤⲈⲢⲚⲞⲂⲒ.
42 Arise, let us be going. Look, he who betrays me is near."
ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ⲦⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲘⲀⲢⲞⲚ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ⲀϤϦⲰⲚⲦ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲦⲎⲒⲦ.
43 Immediately, while he was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, came—and with him a crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders.
ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲀⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲈⲦⲒ ⲈϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲀϤⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲤ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲒⲂ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲤⲎϤⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚϢⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀ ⲚⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲠⲢⲈⲤⲂⲨⲦⲈⲢⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲤⲀϦ.
44 Now he who betrayed him had given them a sign, saying, "Whomever I will kiss, that is he. Seize him, and lead him away safely."
ⲙ̅ⲇ̅ϪⲈ ⲀϤϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲘⲎⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲪⲎ ⲈϮⲚⲀϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲪⲒ ⲈⲢⲰϤ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲠⲈ ⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϬⲒⲦϤ ⲀⲤⲪⲀⲖⲰⲤ
45 When he had come, immediately he came to him, and said, "Rabbi." and kissed him.
ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲒ ⲤⲀⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲀϤⲒ ϨⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲢⲀⲂⲂⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤϮⲪⲒ ⲈⲢⲰϤ.
46 They laid hands on him, and seized him.
ⲙ̅ⲋ̅ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲨⲈⲚ ⲚⲞⲨϪⲒϪ ⲈϪⲰϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ
47 But a certain one of those who stood by drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
ⲙ̅ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲞⲨ ⲀϤⲐⲈⲔⲈⲘ ϮⲤⲎϤⲒ ⲈⲀϤϮ ⲚⲞⲨϢⲀϢ ⲘⲪⲂⲰⲔ ⲘⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲰⲖⲒ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲘⲀϢϪ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ
48 Jesus answered them, "Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to seize me?
ⲙ̅ⲏ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲈⲦⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲎ ⲞⲨ ⲚⲤⲀⲞⲨⲤⲞⲚⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲤⲎϤⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚϢⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϨⲞⲒ
49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and you did not arrest me. But this is so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled."
ⲙ̅ⲑ̅ⲚⲀⲒⲬⲎ ϨⲀⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲘⲘⲎⲚⲒ ⲈⲒϮⲤⲂⲰ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲈⲢⲪⲈⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲞⲒ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϪⲰⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲄⲢⲀⲪⲎ
50 They all left him, and fled.
ⲛ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲬⲀϤ ⲀⲨⲪⲰⲦ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ
51 And a certain young man followed him, having a linen cloth thrown around himself, over his naked body. And they grabbed him,
ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨϦⲈⲖϢⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲞϢⲒ ⲚⲤⲰϤ ⲈϤϪⲎⲖ ⲚⲞⲨⲤⲨⲚⲆⲞⲚⲒⲞⲚ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲈϤⲂⲰϢ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ
52 but he left the linen cloth, and fled naked.
ⲛ̅ⲃ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤⲤⲰϪⲠ ⲚϮⲤⲨⲚⲆⲞⲚⲒⲞⲚ ⲀϤⲪⲰⲦ ⲈϤⲂⲎϢ.
53 They led Jesus away to the high priest. All the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes came together.
ⲛ̅ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨϬⲒ ⲚⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϨⲀ ⲚⲒⲀⲢⲬⲈⲒⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲠⲢⲈⲤⲂⲨⲦⲈⲢⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲤⲀϦ.
54 Peter had followed him from a distance, until he came into the court of the high priest. He was sitting with the officers, and warming himself in the light of the fire.
ⲛ̅ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲚⲀϤⲘⲞϢⲒ ⲚⲤⲰϤ ϨⲒⲪⲞⲨⲈⲒ ϢⲀ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϮⲀⲨⲖⲎ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀϤⲈⲢϢⲪⲎⲢ ⲚϨⲈⲘⲤⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒϨⲨⲠⲎ ⲢⲈⲦⲎⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤⲦϦⲘⲞⲘ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϦⲀⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲰⲒⲚⲒ
55 Now the chief priests and the whole council sought witnesses against Jesus to put him to death, and found none.
ⲛ̅ⲉ̅ⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲘⲀⲚϮϨⲀⲚ ⲦⲎⲢϤ ⲚⲀⲨⲔⲰϮ ⲚⲤⲀⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ϦⲀ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲈⲠϪⲒⲚϦⲞⲐⲂⲈϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨϪⲒⲘⲒ ⲀⲚ.
56 For many gave false testimony against him, and their testimony did not agree with each other.
ⲛ̅ⲋ̅ⲚⲀⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲚⲚⲞⲨϪ ϦⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨⲞⲒ ⲚϨⲨⲤⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ.
57 Some stood up, and gave false testimony against him, saying,
ⲛ̅ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲦⲰⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈϨⲀⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲀⲨⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲚⲚⲞⲨϪ ϦⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ
58 "We heard him say, 'I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.'"
ⲛ̅ⲏ̅ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲚ ⲀⲚⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ϮⲚⲀⲂⲰⲖ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲈⲢⲪⲈⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲠⲀⲒⲘⲞⲨⲚⲔ ⲚϪⲒϪ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ Ⲅ- ⲚⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲔⲈⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲚⲀⲐⲘⲞⲨⲚⲔ ⲚϪⲒϪ ϮⲚⲀⲔⲞⲦϤ
59 Even so, their testimony did not agree.
ⲛ̅ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲀⲤⲞⲒ ⲚϨⲨⲤⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ ⲚϪⲈⲦⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ.
60 The high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, "Have you no answer? What is it which these testify against you?"
ⲝ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲦⲰⲚϤ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲈⲐⲘⲎϮ ⲀϤϢⲈⲚ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲔⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϨⲖⲒ ⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ϦⲀⲢⲞⲔ.
61 But he stayed quiet, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?"
ⲝ̅ⲁ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲀϤⲬⲰ ⲚⲢⲰϤ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϨⲖⲒ ⲠⲀⲖⲒⲚ ⲀⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ϢⲈⲚϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲤⲘⲀⲢⲰⲞⲨⲦ
62 And Jesus said, "I am, and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of the sky."
ⲝ̅ⲃ̅ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈϤϨⲈⲘⲤⲒ ⲤⲀⲞⲨⲒⲚⲀⲘ ⲚϮϪⲞⲘ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒϬⲎⲠⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲪⲈ.
63 The high priest tore his clothes, and said, "What further need have we of witnesses?
ⲝ̅ⲅ̅ⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲪⲰϦ ⲚⲚⲈϤϨⲂⲰⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲞⲚ ⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢⲬⲢⲒⲀ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲘⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ.
64 You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?" They all condemned him to be worthy of death.
ⲝ̅ⲇ̅ⲀⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲈⲠⲒϪⲈⲞⲨⲀ ⲞⲨ ⲈⲐⲞⲨⲞⲚϨ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲀⲨⲢⲔⲀⲦⲀⲔⲢⲒⲚⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϪⲈ ϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲈⲚⲞⲬⲞⲤ ⲈⲪⲘⲞⲨ.
65 Some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to beat him with fists, and to tell him, "Prophesy." And the officers took him and beat him.
ⲝ̅ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲈⲢϨⲎⲦⲤ ⲚϪⲈϨⲀⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲈϨⲒⲐⲀϤ ϦⲈⲚϨⲢⲀϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϨⲰⲂⲤ ⲘⲠⲈϤϨⲞ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϮⲔⲈϨ ⲚⲀϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲢⲒⲠⲢⲞⲪⲎⲦⲈⲨⲒⲚ ⲚⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲚⲒⲘ ⲠⲈⲦⲀϤϨⲒⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲢⲞⲔ ϮⲚⲞⲨ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲒϨⲨⲠⲎⲢⲈⲦⲎⲤ ⲀⲨϬⲒⲦϤ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲀⲖⲰϪ.
66 Now as Peter was in the courtyard below, one of the servant girls of the high priest came,
ⲝ̅ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲚϦⲢⲎⲒ ϦⲈⲚϮⲀⲨⲖⲎ ⲀⲤⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨⲒ ⲚⲚⲒⲂⲰⲔⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬ ⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ
67 and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked at him, and said, "You were also with the Nazarene, Jesus."
ⲝ̅ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀⲤⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲈϤⲦϦⲘⲞⲘ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀⲤϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲠⲈϪⲀⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ϨⲰⲔ ⲚⲀⲔⲬⲎ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲒⲚⲀⲌⲰⲢⲈⲞⲤ.
68 But he denied it, saying, "I neither know nor understand what you are saying." And he went out into the forecourt, and a rooster crowed.
ⲝ̅ⲏ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲰⲖ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲚϮⲈⲘⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲚϮⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲚⲐⲞ ⲠⲈⲦⲈϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲦⲤⲀⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲀⲨⲖⲎ
69 And the servant girl saw him, and began again to tell those who stood by, "This is one of them."
ⲝ̅ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀⲤⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈϮⲬⲈϮ ⲠⲈϪⲀⲤ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲞⲨⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ.
70 But he again denied it. After a little while again those who stood by said to Peter, "You truly are one of them, for you are a Galilean, and your accent shows it."
ⲟ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲞⲚ ⲀϤϪⲰⲖ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲈⲚⲈⲚⲤⲀ ⲞⲨⲔⲞⲨϪⲒ ⲠⲀⲖⲒⲚ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲀⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲖⲎⲐⲰⲤ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲔⲈ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲄⲀⲖⲒⲖⲈⲞⲤ.
71 But he began to curse, and to swear, "I do not know this man of whom you speak."
ⲟ̅ⲁ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤⲈⲢϨⲎⲦⲤ ⲚⲈⲢⲀⲚⲀⲐⲈⲘⲀⲦⲒⲌⲒⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲰⲢⲔ ϪⲈ ϮⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
72 And immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Peter remembered the word, how that Jesus said to him, "Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times." When he thought about that, he wept.
ⲟ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨⲀⲖⲈⲔⲦⲰⲢ ⲘⲪⲘⲀϨⲤⲞⲠⲂ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲪⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲠⲀⲦⲈ ⲞⲨⲀⲖⲈⲔⲦⲰⲢ ⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲤⲞⲠⲂ ⲬⲚⲀϪⲞⲖⲦ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲄ ⲚⲤⲞⲠ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤϨⲒⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲀϤⲢⲒⲘⲒ.
