< Mark 11 >
1 When they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
ⲁ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ⲉⲃⲏⲧⲫⲁⲅⲏ ⲙⲛ̅ⲃⲏⲑⲁⲛⲓⲁ. ϩⲁϩⲧⲉⲡⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲛ̅ϫⲟⲉⲓⲧ ⲁϥϫⲉⲩⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ
2 and said to them, "Go your way into the village that is opposite you. Immediately as you enter into it, you will find a young donkey tied, on which no one has yet sat. Untie him, and bring him.
ⲃ̅ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲕⲱⲙⲏ ⲉⲧϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲙ̅ⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁϩⲉ ⲉⲩⲥⲏϭ ⲉϥⲙⲏⲣ ⲉⲙⲡⲁⲧⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲣ̅ⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲓϫⲱϥ ⲃⲟⲗϥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲧϥ̅
3 If anyone asks you, 'Why are you doing this?' say, 'Because the Lord needs it,' and he will send it back here at once."
ⲅ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲗⲁⲁⲩ ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙ̅ⲙⲏⲧⲛ̅ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁⲣⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲁϫⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲧⲁϩⲉ ⲛⲁϥ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ϥⲛⲁⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲟⲩϥ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲙⲁ
4 They went away, and found a colt tied at the door outside in the open street, and they untied him.
ⲇ̅ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϩⲉ ⲉⲡⲥⲏϭ ⲉϥⲙⲏⲣ ⲉⲩⲣⲟ ϩⲙ̅ⲫⲓⲣʾ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲃⲟⲗϥ
5 Some of those who stood there asked them, "What are you doing, untying the young donkey?"
ⲉ̅ϩⲟⲓ̈ⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲃⲱⲗ ⲙⲡ̅ⲥⲏϭ.
6 They said to them just as Jesus had said, and they let them go.
ⲋ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲕⲁⲁⲩ.
7 They brought the young donkey to Jesus, and threw their garments on it, and Jesus sat on it.
ⲍ̅ⲁⲩⲛ̅ⲡⲥⲏϭ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲁⲩⲡⲣϣⲛⲉⲩϩⲟⲓ̈ⲧⲉ ϩⲓϫⲱϥ ⲁϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲓϫⲱϥ
8 Many spread their garments on the way, and others spread branches which they had cut from the fields.
ⲏ̅ⲕⲉⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲁⲩⲡⲣϣ̅ⲛⲉⲩϩⲟⲓ̈ⲧⲉ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϣⲱⲱⲧ ⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲕⲗⲁⲇⲟⲥ ϩⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲥⲱϣⲉ.
9 Those who went in front, and those who followed, shouted, "Hosanna. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
ⲑ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲧϩⲓϩⲏ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲏϩ ⲛ̅ⲥⲱϥ. ⲛⲉⲩϫⲓϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲱⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ ϥⲥⲙⲁⲙⲁⲁⲧ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡⲉⲧⲛⲏⲩ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ
10 Blessed is the kingdom of our father David. Hosanna in the highest."
ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ⲥⲙⲁⲙⲁⲁⲧ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟ ⲉⲧⲛⲏⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲛⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ. ⲱ̑ⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧϫⲟⲥⲉ
11 And he entered into the temple in Jerusalem. When he had looked around at everything, it being now evening, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ⲉⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲕⲧⲉⲓ̈ⲁⲧϥ̅ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲁ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅ ⲉⲁⲣⲟⲩϩⲉ ⲏⲇⲏ ϣⲱⲡⲉ. ⲁϥⲉ͡ⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲃⲏⲑⲁⲛⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ̅ⲡⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲥⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥ
12 The next day, when they had come out from Bethany, he was hungry.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲥⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ⲃⲏⲑⲁⲛⲓⲁ ⲁϥϩⲕⲟ
13 Seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came to see if perhaps he might find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲃⲱ ⲛ̅ⲕⲛ̅ⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲟⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲉϩⲉⲛϭⲱⲃⲉ ϩⲓⲱⲱⲥ. ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲙⲉϣⲁⲕ ⲉϥⲉϭⲛ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲥ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲉⲓ ⲙ̅ⲡϥ̅ϭⲛ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ϩⲓⲱⲱⲥ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁϭⲱⲃⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲧⲉ. ⲛⲉⲡⲥⲏⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲛ̅ⲧⲉ.
14 Jesus told it, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." and his disciples heard it. (aiōn )
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ϫⲓⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲛⲁⲩ ⲟⲩⲉⲙⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲉⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅. (aiōn )
15 They came to Jerusalem, and he entered into the temple, and began to throw out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of those who sold the doves.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ ⲁϥⲁⲣⲭⲉⲓ ⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧϯ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲧⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲧⲣⲁⲡⲉⲍⲁ ⲣ̅ⲣⲉϥϫⲓⲕⲟⲗⲩⲙⲃⲟⲛ. ⲁϥⲧⲁⲩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁ ⲛ̅ϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧϯϭⲣⲟⲟⲙⲡⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
16 He would not allow anyone to carry a container through the temple.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲉⲡϥ̅ⲕⲁⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲉϫⲓⲥⲕⲉⲩⲏ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ.
17 He taught, saying to them, "Is it not written, 'My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations?' But you have made it a den of robbers."
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛϥ̅ⲥⲏϩ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲏⲓ̈ ⲉⲩⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲏⲉⲓ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲛⲛ̅ϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ. ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲁⲁϥ ⲛ̅ⲥⲡⲏⲗⲁⲓⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲛⲉ.
18 The chief priests and the scribes heard it, and sought how they might destroy him. For they feared him, because all the crowd was astonished at his teaching.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉⲩⲥ ⲁⲩⲕⲱⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁⲑⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧϥ̅. ⲛⲉⲩⲣ̅ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ϩⲏⲧϥ̅. ⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅. ⲛⲉϥⲣ̅ϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲧⲉϥⲥⲃⲱ.
19 When evening came, they went out of the city.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉⲣⲟⲩϩⲉ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲁϥⲣ̅ⲡⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ
20 As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away from the roots.
ⲕ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲛ̅ⲕⲛ̅ⲧⲉ ⲁⲥϣⲟⲟⲩⲉ ϫⲓⲛⲛⲉⲥⲛⲟⲩⲛⲉ.
21 Peter, remembering, said to him, "Teacher, look. The fig tree which you cursed has withered away."
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲣ̅ⲡⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲃⲃⲉⲓ. ⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲛ̅ⲕⲛ̅ⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲕⲥϩⲟⲩⲱⲣⲥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲥϣⲟⲟⲩⲉ.
22 Jesus answered them, "Have faith in God.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅.
23 Truly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲧⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲡⲱⲱⲛⲉ ⲛⲅ̅ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲧⲉⲑⲁⲗⲁⲥⲥⲁ ⲛϥ̅ⲧⲙ̅ⲣ̅ϩⲏⲧ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥϩⲏⲧ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛϥ̅ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧϥ̅ϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ϥⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲁϥ.
24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ϯϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ϫⲉ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲁⲓⲧⲓ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅.
25 Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your wrongdoing.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲁⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲧⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲕⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲩⲛ̅ⲧⲏⲧⲛ̅ϥ ⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ. ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲉⲧϩⲛ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲏⲩⲉ ⲉϥⲉⲕⲱ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ·
26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your wrongdoing."
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅
27 They came again to Jerusalem, and as he was walking in the temple, the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders came to him,
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲩⲉ͡ⲓ ⲟⲛ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ. ⲁⲩϯⲡⲉⲩⲟⲓ̈ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉⲩⲥ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ
28 and they began saying to him, "By what authority do you do these things? And who gave you this authority to do these things?"

29 Jesus said to them, "I will also ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

32 If we should say, 'From people'"—they feared the crowd, for all held John to really be a prophet.

33 They answered and said to Jesus, "We do not know." Jesus said to them, "Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things."
