Luke 15
1 Now all the tax collectors and sinners were coming close to him to hear him.
౧తరువాత ఒకసారి పన్నులు వసూలు చేసేవారూ, పాపులూ అనేకమంది ఆయన ఉపదేశం వినడానికి ఆయన దగ్గరికి వచ్చారు.
2 The Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, "This man welcomes sinners, and eats with them."
౨పరిసయ్యులూ, ధర్మశాస్త్ర పండితులూ అది చూసి, “ఈ మనిషి పాపులను దగ్గరికి రానిస్తూ వారితో కలసి భోజనం చేస్తున్నాడు” అని సణుక్కున్నారు.
3 He told them this parable.
౩అందుకాయన వారికి ఈ ఉపమానం చెప్పాడు,
4 "Which one of you, if you had one hundred sheep, and lost one of them, would not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one that was lost, until he found it?
౪“మీలో ఏ మనిషికైనా వంద గొర్రెలు ఉండి వాటిలో ఒకటి తప్పిపోతే అతడు మిగిలిన తొంభై తొమ్మిది గొర్రెలను అడవిలో వదిలి, వెళ్ళి ఆ తప్పిపోయిన గొర్రె దొరికేంత వరకూ వెదకడా?”
5 When he has found it, he carries it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
౫అది దొరికినప్పుడు సంతోషంతో దాన్ని తన భుజాల మీద వేసుకుని ఇంటికి వచ్చి తన స్నేహితులనూ, ఇరుగుపొరుగు వారినీ పిలిచి
6 When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.'
౬‘మీరు నాతో కలిసి సంతోషించండి. ఎందుకంటే తప్పిపోయిన నా గొర్రె దొరికింది’ అని వారితో చెబుతాడు కదా.
7 I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.
౭అలాగే పశ్చాత్తాపం అక్కరలేని తొంభై తొమ్మిది మంది నీతిమంతుల విషయంలో కలిగే సంతోషం కంటే పశ్చాత్తాపం పొందే ఒక్క పాపి విషయమై పరలోకంలో ఎక్కువ సంతోషం కలుగుతుంది.
8 Or what woman, if she had ten drachma coins, if she lost one drachma coin, would not light a lamp, sweep the house, and seek diligently until she found it?
౮“ఒకామెకు పది వెండి నాణాలు ఉండి వాటిలో ఒకటి పోతే ఆమె దాని కోసం దీపం వెలిగించి ఇల్లంతా ఊడ్చి పోయిన నాణెం దొరికే వరకూ జాగ్రత్తగా వెదకదా?
9 When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found the drachma which I had lost.'
౯అది దొరికినప్పుడు తన స్నేహితురాళ్ళనూ ఇరుగుపొరుగు వారినీ పిలిచి, ‘నేను పోగొట్టుకున్న నాణెం దొరికింది కాబట్టి నాతో కలసి సంతోషించండి’ అంటుంది కదా.
10 Even so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting."
౧౦అలాగే పశ్చాత్తాపం పొందే పాపిని గురించి దేవుని దూతల సముఖంలో సంతోషం కలుగుతుందని మీకు చెబుతున్నాను” అన్నాడు.
11 He said, "A certain man had two sons.
౧౧ఆయన ఇంకా ఇలా అన్నాడు, “ఒక మనిషికి ఇద్దరు కొడుకులు ఉన్నారు.
12 The younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of your property.' He divided his livelihood between them.
౧౨వారిలో చిన్నవాడు ‘నాన్నా, ఆస్తిలో నా వాటా నాకు పంచి ఇవ్వు’ అన్నాడు. తండ్రి తన ఆస్తిని వారికి పంచి ఇచ్చాడు.
13 Not many days after, the younger son gathered all of this together and traveled into a far country. There he wasted his property with riotous living.
౧౩కొద్ది రోజుల తరువాత చిన్న కొడుకు తనకున్నదంతా కూడగట్టుకుని దూర దేశానికి ప్రయాణమై వెళ్ళాడు. అక్కడ తన డబ్బంతా దుర్వ్యసనాలపై విచ్చలవిడిగా ఖర్చు చేశాడు.
14 When he had spent all of it, there arose a severe famine in that country, and he began to be in need.
౧౪అంతా ఖర్చయిపోయాక ఆ దేశంలో తీవ్రమైన కరువు వచ్చింది. అతనికి ఇబ్బందులు మొదలైనాయి.
15 He went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed pigs.
౧౫దాంతో అతడు వెళ్ళి ఆ దేశంలో ఒక వ్యక్తి దగ్గర పనికి కుదిరాడు. ఆ వ్యక్తి అతనిని తన పందులు మేపడానికి తన పొలాల్లోకి పంపించాడు.
16 And he wanted to fill himself with the carob pods that the pigs ate, but no one gave him any.
౧౬అతడు ఆ పందులు తినే పొట్టుతో తన కడుపు నింపుకోవాలని ఆశ పడ్డాడు. కానీ అతనికి ఎవరూ ఏమీ ఇవ్వలేదు.
17 But when he came to himself he said, 'How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough to spare, and I'm dying here with hunger.
౧౭అతనికి బుద్ధి వచ్చింది. అతడిలా అనుకున్నాడు, ‘నా తండ్రి దగ్గర ఎంతోమంది కూలి వాళ్ళకు ఆహారం పుష్కలంగా ఉంది. నేనేమో ఇక్కడ ఆకలికి చచ్చిపోతున్నాను.
18 I will get up and go to my father, and will tell him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight.
౧౮నేను లేచి నా తండ్రి దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళిపోతాను. నాన్నా, నేను పరలోకానికి విరోధంగానూ నీ దృష్టిలోనూ పాపం చేశాను.
19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants."'
౧౯ఇక నుండి నీ కొడుకు అనిపించుకోవడానికి నాకు ఏ అర్హతా లేదు. నన్ను నీ కూలీల్లో ఒకడిగా పెట్టుకో అని చెబుతాను.’ ఇలా అనుకుని అతడు లేచి తన తండ్రి దగ్గరికి వచ్చాడు.
20 "He arose, and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
౨౦అతడింకా దూరంగా ఉండగానే తండ్రి అతణ్ణి చూసి కనికరపడి, పరుగెత్తుకుంటూ వెళ్ళి కౌగలించుకుని ముద్దు పెట్టుకున్నాడు.
21 The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'
౨౧అప్పుడు ఆ కొడుకు తండ్రితో, ‘నాన్నా, నేను పరలోకానికి విరోధంగానూ నీ దృష్టిలోనూ పాపం చేశాను. ఇక నుండి నీ కొడుకునని చెప్పుకోడానికి నాకు ఏ యోగ్యతా లేదు’ అన్నాడు.
22 "But the father said to his servants, 'Quickly, bring out the best robe, and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet.
౨౨“అయితే తండ్రి తన సేవకులతో, “శ్రేష్ఠమైన బట్టలు తెచ్చి ఇతనికి తొడగండి. ఇతని చేతికి ఉంగరం పెట్టి, కాళ్ళకు చెప్పులు తొడగండి.
23 Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat, and celebrate;
౨౩కొవ్విన దూడను తెచ్చి వధించండి. మనం తిని సంబరాలు చేసుకుందాం.
24 for this, my son, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.' They began to celebrate.
౨౪నా ఈ కొడుకు చనిపోయి మళ్ళీ బతికాడు. తప్పిపోయి దొరికాడు’ అని చెప్పాడు. అప్పుడు వారంతా సంబరాలు చేసుకోవడం మొదలు పెట్టారు.
25 "Now his elder son was in the field. As he came near to the house, he heard music and dancing.
౨౫“ఆ సమయంలో అతని పెద్ద కొడుకు పొలంలో ఉన్నాడు. అతడు ఇంటిని సమీపిస్తుండగా సంగీతం, నాట్యధ్వని అతనికి వినిపించాయి.
26 He called one of the servants to him, and asked what was going on.
౨౬ఒక సేవకుణ్ణి పిలిచి, ‘ఏం జరుగుతోంది?’ అని అడిగాడు.
27 He said to him, 'Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and healthy.'
౨౭ఆ పనివాడు అతనితో, ‘నీ తమ్ముడు వచ్చాడు. అతడు తన దగ్గరికి క్షేమంగా తిరిగి వచ్చినందుకు నీ తండ్రి కొవ్విన దూడను వధించాడు’ అని చెప్పాడు.
28 But he was angry, and would not go in. Therefore his father came out, and pleaded with him.
౨౮దాంతో పెద్ద కొడుక్కి కోపం వచ్చి ఇంట్లోకి వెళ్ళలేదు. అతని తండ్రి బయటకు వచ్చి అతణ్ణి లోపలికి రమ్మని బతిమాలాడు.
29 But he answered his father, 'Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed a commandment of yours, but you never gave me a goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.
౨౯కాని అతడు, ‘ఇదిగో విను, ఇన్నేళ్ళ నుండి నీకు సేవలు చేస్తున్నాను. ఏనాడూ నీ మాట జవదాటలేదు. అయినా నా స్నేహితులతో కలసి సంబరం చేసుకోడానికి నువ్వు నాకు ఒక్క మేకపిల్లను కూడా ఇవ్వలేదు.
30 But when this, your son, came, who has devoured your living with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.'
౩౦కానీ నీ ఆస్తిని వేశ్యలకు ఖర్చు చేసిన నీ చిన్న కొడుకు రాగానే వాడి కోసం కొవ్విన దూడను వధించావు’ అంటూ నిష్టూరంగా మాట్లాడాడు.
31 "He said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.
౩౧అందుకతని తండ్రి, ‘నాయనా, నువ్వెప్పుడూ నా దగ్గరే ఉన్నావు. నావన్నీ నీవే.
32 But it was appropriate to celebrate and be glad, for this brother of yours was dead and is alive; and he was lost, and is found.'"
౩౨మనం సంతోషంగా పండగ చేసుకోవాల్సిందే. ఎందుకంటే నీ తమ్ముడు చనిపోయి బతికాడు, తప్పిపోయి దొరికాడు’ అని చెప్పాడు.”
