Lamentations 3

1 I am the man that has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.

൧ഞാൻ അവന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ വടികൊണ്ട് കഷ്ടത കണ്ട പുരുഷനാകുന്നു.

2 He has led me and caused me to walk in darkness, and not in light.

൨അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ വെളിച്ചത്തിലല്ല, ഇരുട്ടിലത്രേ നടക്കുമാറാക്കിയത്.

3 Surely against me he turns his hand again and again all the day.

൩അതേ, അവിടുത്തെ കരം ഇടവിടാതെ എന്റെ നേരെ തിരിക്കുന്നു.

4 My flesh and my skin he has made old; he has broken my bones.

൪എന്റെ മാംസവും ത്വക്കും അവിടുന്ന് ജീർണ്ണമാക്കി, എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ തകർത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

5 He has built against me, and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.

൫അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ ആക്രമിച്ച്, കയ്പും പ്രയാസവും ചുറ്റുമതിലാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

6 He has made me to dwell in dark places, like those that have been long dead.

൬പണ്ടേ മരിച്ചവനെപ്പോലെ അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ ഇരുട്ടിൽ പാർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു

7 He has walled me in, so I can't escape; he has made my chains heavy.

൭പുറത്തു പോകുവാൻ കഴിയാതവണ്ണം അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ വേലികെട്ടിയടച്ച് എന്റെ ചങ്ങലയെ ഭാരമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8 Yes, when I cry, and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.

൮ഞാൻ കൂകി നിലവിളിച്ചാലും അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന തടുത്തുകളയുന്നു.

9 He has walled up my ways with cut stone; he has made my paths crooked.

൯വെട്ടുകല്ലുകൊണ്ട് അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ വഴി അടച്ച്, എന്റെ പാതകളെ വളയുമാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

10 He is to me as a bear lying in wait, as a lion in hiding.

൧൦അവിടുന്ന് എനിക്ക് പതിയിരിക്കുന്ന കരടിയെപ്പോലെയും മറഞ്ഞുനില്‍ക്കുന്ന സിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെയും ആകുന്നു.

11 He has obstructed my path, and torn me in pieces; he has made me desolate.

൧൧അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ വഴികളെ തെറ്റിച്ച് എന്നെ കടിച്ചുകീറി ശൂന്യമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

12 He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.

൧൨അവിടുന്ന് വില്ലു കുലച്ച് എന്നെ അമ്പിന് ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

13 He has caused the arrows of his quiver to pierce my inward parts.

൧൩തന്റെ ആവനാഴിയിലെ അമ്പുകളെ അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ അന്തരംഗങ്ങളിൽ തറപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

14 I have become a laughingstock to all peoples, and their song all the day.

൧൪ഞാൻ എന്റെ സർവ്വജനത്തിനും പരിഹാസവും ഇടവിടാതെ അവരുടെ പാട്ടും ആയിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

15 He has filled me with bitterness, he has given me in full measure wormwood.

൧൫അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ കൈപ്പുകൊണ്ട് നിറച്ച്, കാഞ്ഞിരംകൊണ്ട് മത്തുപിടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

16 He has also broken my teeth with gravel; he has pressed me down in the dust.

൧൬അവിടുന്ന് കല്ലുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ പല്ല് തകർത്ത്, എന്നെ വെണ്ണീരിൽ ഇട്ടുരുട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

17 You have removed my soul far away from peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.

൧൭അങ്ങ് എന്റെ പ്രാണനിൽ നിന്ന് സമാധാനം നീക്കി; ഞാൻ സുഖം മറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

18 And I said, "My strength and my hope has perished from the LORD."

൧൮എന്റെ മഹത്വവും യഹോവയിലുള്ള എന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയും പൊയ്പ്പോയല്ലോ എന്ന് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

19 Remember my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.

൧൯അങ്ങ് എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയും അരിഷ്ടതയും കാഞ്ഞിരവും കയ്പും ഓർക്കേണമേ.

20 My soul considers them, and is depressed.

൨൦എന്റെ പ്രാണൻ എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ എപ്പോഴും അവയെ ഓർത്ത് ഉരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

21 But this I call to my mind; therefore I have hope:

൨൧ഇത് ഞാൻ ഓർക്കും; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ പ്രത്യാശിക്കും.

22 The LORD's faithful love does not cease; his compassion does not fail.

൨൨നാം നശിച്ചുപോകാതിരിക്കുന്നത് യഹോവയുടെ ദയ ആകുന്നു; അവിടുത്തെ കരുണ തീർന്ന് പോയിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ;

23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

൨൩അത് രാവിലെതോറും പുതിയതും അവിടുത്തെ വിശ്വസ്തത വലിയതും ആകുന്നു.

24 "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him."

൨൪യഹോവ എന്റെ ഓഹരി എന്ന് എന്റെ ഉള്ളം പറയുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ അങ്ങയിൽ പ്രത്യാശവക്കുന്നു.

25 The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.

൨൫തന്നെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവർക്കും തന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവനും യഹോവ നല്ലവൻ.

26 It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

൨൬യഹോവയുടെ രക്ഷക്കായി മിണ്ടാതെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നത് നല്ലത്.

27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke while he is young.

൨൭ബാല്യത്തിൽ നുകം ചുമക്കുന്നത് ഒരു പുരുഷന് നല്ലത്.

28 Let him sit alone and keep silence when he is disciplining him.

൨൮അവിടുന്ന് അത് അവന്റെമേൽ വച്ചിരിക്കുക കൊണ്ട് അവൻ ഏകനായി മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.

29 Let him put his mouth to the dust, there may yet be hope.

൨൯അവൻ തന്റെ മുഖം പൊടിയോളം താഴ്ത്തട്ടെ; പക്ഷേ പ്രത്യാശ ശേഷിക്കും.

30 Let him give his cheek to him who strikes him; let him be filled with insults.

൩൦തന്നെ അടിക്കുന്നവന് അവൻ കവിൾ കാണിക്കട്ടെ; അവൻ വേണ്ടുവോളം നിന്ദ അനുഭവിക്കട്ടെ.

31 For the LORD will not reject forever.

൩൧കർത്താവ് എന്നേക്കും തള്ളിക്കളകയില്ലല്ലോ.

32 For though he may cause grief, yet he will have compassion according to the abundance of his loving kindness.

൩൨അവിടുന്ന് ദുഃഖിപ്പിച്ചാലും തന്റെ മഹാദയയ്ക്ക് ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവിടുത്തേയ്ക്ക് കരുണ തോന്നും.

33 For he is not predisposed to bring affliction or suffering to human beings.

൩൩മനസ്സോടെയല്ലല്ലോ അവിടുന്ന് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ ദുഃഖിപ്പിച്ച് വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്.

34 To crush under foot all the prisoners of the earth;

൩൪ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലബദ്ധന്മാരെയും കാല്കീഴിട്ട് മെതിക്കുന്നതും

35 to deprive a man of justice before the face of the Most High,

൩൫അത്യുന്നതന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ മനുഷ്യന്റെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നതും

36 to subvert a man in his cause, the LORD does not approve.

൩൬അവന്റെ നീതി നിഷേധിക്കുന്നതും കർത്താവ് കാണുകയില്ലയോ?

37 Who can speak a thing and have it come to pass, unless the LORD has commanded it?

൩൭കർത്താവ് കല്പിക്കാതെ ആര് പറഞ്ഞിട്ടാകുന്നു വല്ലതും സംഭവിക്കുന്നത്?

38 Doesn't both calamity and good come out of the mouth of the Most High?

൩൮അത്യുന്നതനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വായിൽനിന്ന് നന്മയും തിന്മയും പുറപ്പെടുന്നില്ലയോ?

39 Why does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

൩൯ജീവനുള്ള മനുഷ്യൻ നെടുവീർപ്പിടുന്നതെന്ത്? ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് നെടുവീർപ്പിടട്ടെ.

40 Let us examine and search our ways, and return to the LORD.

൪൦നാം നമ്മുടെ നടപ്പ് ആരാഞ്ഞ് ശോധനചെയ്ത് യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്ക് തിരിയുക.

41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands to God in the heavens.

൪൧നാം കൈകളെയും ഹൃദയത്തെയും സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്ക് ഉയർത്തുക.

42 We have transgressed and have rebelled, and you have not forgiven.

൪൨ഞങ്ങൾ അതിക്രമം ചെയ്ത് മത്സരിച്ചു; അങ്ങ് ക്ഷമിച്ചതുമില്ല.

43 You have covered yourself with anger and pursued us; you killed without sparing.

൪൩അങ്ങ് കോപം പുതച്ച് ഞങ്ങളെ പിന്തുടർന്ന്, കരുണ കൂടാതെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

44 You have covered yourself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass through.

൪൪ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കടക്കാതവണ്ണം അങ്ങ് സ്വയം മേഘംകൊണ്ട് മറച്ചു.

45 You have made us rubbish and refuse in the midst of the peoples.

൪൫അങ്ങ് ഞങ്ങളെ ജനതകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ചവറും എച്ചിലും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

46 All our enemies have opened their mouth wide against us.

൪൬ഞങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ വായ് പിളർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

47 Fear and the pit have come on us, devastation and destruction.

൪൭പേടിയും കണിയും ശൂന്യവും നാശവും ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

48 Streams of tears run down from my eyes because of the destruction of the daughter of my people.

൪൮എന്റെ ജനത്തിൻപുത്രിയുടെ നാശംനിമിത്തം എന്റെ കണ്ണിൽ നിന്ന് ജലനദികൾ ഒഴുകുന്നു.

49 My tears flow and do not cease, without respite,

൪൯യഹോവ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്ന് നോക്കി കടാക്ഷിക്കുവോളം

50 until the LORD looks down and sees from heaven.

൫൦എന്റെ കണ്ണ് ഇടവിടാതെ ഒഴുകുന്നു; നിലയ്ക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

51 My eyes bring my soul grief, because of all the daughters of my city.

൫൧എന്റെ നഗരത്തിലെ സകലസ്ത്രീജനത്തെയും കുറിച്ച് ഞാൻ കാണുന്നത് എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

52 They have chased me relentlessly like a bird, those who are my enemies without cause.

൫൨കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളായവർ എന്നെ ഒരു പക്ഷിയെപ്പോലെ വേട്ടയാടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

53 They have cut off my life in a pit, and have cast a stone on me.

൫൩അവർ എന്റെ ജീവനെ കുഴിയിൽ ഇട്ട് നശിപ്പിച്ച്, എന്റെ മേൽ കല്ല് എറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

54 Waters flowed over my head; I said, 'I am finished.'

൫൪വെള്ളം എന്റെ തലയ്ക്കുമീതെ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകി; ഞാൻ നശിച്ചുപോയി എന്ന് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

55 I called on your name, LORD, out of the depths of the pit.

൫൫യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ ആഴമുള്ളകുഴിയിൽ നിന്ന് അവിടുത്തെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

56 You heard my voice; do not hide your ear at my sighs, to my cry.

൫൬‘എന്റെ നെടുവീർപ്പിനും എന്റെ നിലവിളിക്കും ചെവി പൊത്തിക്കളയരുതേ’ എന്ന എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന അങ്ങ് കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

57 You drew near in the day that I called on you; you said, "Do not be afraid."

൫൭ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ച നാളിൽ അങ്ങ് അടുത്തുവന്ന്: “ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.

58 LORD, you have taken up the case for my soul; you have redeemed my life.

൫൮കർത്താവേ, അങ്ങ് എന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം നടത്തി, എന്റെ ജീവനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

59 You have seen, LORD, the wrong done to me; judge my case.

൫൯യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ അനുഭവിച്ച അന്യായം അങ്ങ് കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം തീർത്ത് തരേണമേ.

60 You have seen all their vengeance and all their plots against me.

൬൦അവർ ചെയ്ത സകലപ്രതികാരവും എനിക്ക് വിരോധമായുള്ള അവരുടെ സകലനിരൂപണങ്ങളും അങ്ങ് കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

61 You have heard their insults, LORD, and all their plots against me.

൬൧യഹോവേ, അവരുടെ നിന്ദയും എനിക്ക് വിരോധമായുള്ള അവരുടെ സകലനിരൂപണങ്ങളും

62 The lips of those that rose up against me, and their plots against me all day long.

൬൨എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ വാക്കുകളും ഇടവിടാതെ എനിക്ക് വിരോധമായുള്ള ആലോചനകളും അങ്ങ് കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

63 Look their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their mocking song.

൬൩അവരുടെ ഇരിപ്പും എഴുന്നേല്പും നോക്കേണമേ; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ പാട്ടായിരിക്കുന്നു.

64 You will render to them what they deserve, LORD, according to the work of their hands.

൬൪യഹോവേ, അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്ക് തക്കവണ്ണം അവർക്ക് പകരം ചെയ്യേണമേ;

65 You will give them hardness of heart as your curse to them.

൬൫അങ്ങ് അവർക്ക് ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം വരുത്തും; അങ്ങയുടെ ശാപം അവർക്ക് വരട്ടെ.

66 You will pursue them in anger, and destroy them from under the heavens of the LORD.

൬൬അങ്ങ് അവരെ കോപത്തോടെ പിന്തുടർന്ന്, യഹോവയുടെ ആകാശത്തിൻ കീഴിൽനിന്ന് നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.
