Jeremiah 46

1 The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations.

2 Of Egypt: concerning the army of Pharaoh Necoh king of Egypt, which was by the river Perath in Carchemish, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon struck in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah.

ಈಜಿಪ್ಟನ್ನು ಕುರಿತದ್ದು: ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ, ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹ ನೆಕೋವಿನ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಯೂಫ್ರೇಟೀಸ್ ನದಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಿರುವ ಕರ್ಕೆಮೀಷಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವಾಗ ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು, ಆ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿಮಾಡಿದ್ದರ ವಿಷಯ:

3 "Prepare the buckler and shield, and draw near to battle.

“ಗುರಾಣಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಖೇಡ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ; ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿರಿ;

4 Harness the horses, and get up, you horsemen, and stand forth with your helmets; furbish the spears, put on the coats of mail.

ರಾಹುತರೇ, ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿರಿ; ವಾಹನಾಶ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿರಿ. ಎದ್ದು ಶಿರಸ್ತ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಈಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆರುಗು ಮಾಡಿರಿ; ಕವಚಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.

5 Why have I seen it? They are dismayed and are turned backward; and their mighty ones are beaten down, and have fled in haste, and do not look back: terror is on every side," says the LORD.

ಆಹಾ, ನಾನು ಕಂಡದ್ದೇನು? ಅವರು ದಿಗಿಲುಪಟ್ಟು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದ್ದನ್ನು, ಅವರ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳು ಪೆಟ್ಟುತಿಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಿಂದೆ ನೋಡದೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಸುತ್ತಲು ದಿಗಿಲು ಕವಿದಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

6 "Do not let the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape; in the north by the river Perath have they stumbled and fallen.

“ವೇಗಶಾಲಿಗಳು ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗದಿರಲಿ; ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಯು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಿರಲಿ; ಉತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೂಫ್ರೇಟೀಸ್ ನದಿಯ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಎಡವಿಬೀಳುವರು.

7 Who is this who rises up like the Nile, whose waters toss themselves like the rivers?

“ನೈಲ್ ನದಿಯಂತೆ ಕದಲುವ ನೀರುಗಳಂತಿದ್ದು ಪ್ರಳಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬರುವವನು ಯಾರು?

8 Egypt rises up like the Nile, and his waters toss themselves like the rivers: and he says, 'I will rise up, I will cover the earth; I will destroy cities and its inhabitants.'

ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ನೈಲ್ ನದಿಯ ಪ್ರಳಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಏರುತ್ತದೆ; ಅದರ ನೀರು ನದಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಕದಲುತ್ತವೆ; ‘ನಾನು ಏರುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ, ಅದರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಾಶಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ,’ ಎಂದು ಅವಳು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ.

9 Go up, you horses; and rage, you chariots; and let the mighty men go forth: Cush and Put, who handle the shield; and the Ludim, who handle and bend the bow.

ಕುದುರೆಗಳೇ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ; ಸಾರಥಿಗಳೇ ಓಡಾಡಿರಿ; ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಲಿ; ಗುರಾಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಕೂಷ್ಯರೂ, ಪೂಟ್ಯರೂ, ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಬಗ್ಗಿಸುವ ಲೂದ್ಯರೂ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಲಿ.

10 For that day is of the Lord, the LORD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour and be satiate, and shall drink its fill of their blood; for the Lord, the LORD of hosts, has a sacrifice in the north country by the river Perath.

ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇದು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ದೇವರ ದಿವಸವೇ. ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವ ದಿವಸವು, ಖಡ್ಗವು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ ಅವರ ರಕ್ತದಿಂದ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತವಾಗುವುದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಉತ್ತರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೂಫ್ರೇಟೀಸ್ ನದಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವರಾದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಬಲಿ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ.

11 Go up into Gilead, and take balm, virgin daughter of Egypt: in vain do you use many medicines; there is no healing for you.

“ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯೇ, ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತೈಲವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ. ನೀನು ಬಹಳ ಔಷಧವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಗುಣವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ!

12 The nations have heard of your shame, and the earth is full of your cry; for the mighty man has stumbled against the mighty, they are fallen both of them together."

ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾನಭಂಗವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಕೇಳಿವೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಕೂಗು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಿದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಯು ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಎಡವಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.”

13 The word that the LORD spoke to Jeremiah the prophet, how that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon should come and strike the land of Egypt.

ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಬಂದು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಹೊಡೆಯುವನೆಂಬುದರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯವು:

14 "Declare in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Memphis and in Tahpanhes: say, 'Stand forth, and prepare; for the sword has devoured around you.'

“ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿರಿ, ಮಿಗ್ದೋಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿ, ನೋಫಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ತಹಪನೇಸಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿ, ‘ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಾನಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಗಿ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಖಡ್ಗವು ನಿನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಸಂಹರಿಸುವುದು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ.

15 Why are your strong ones swept away? They did not stand, because the LORD pushed them.

ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರು ಏಕೆ ಬಡಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ? ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ನಿಲ್ಲಲಿಲ್ಲ.

16 He made many to stumble, yes, they fell one on another: and they said, 'Arise, and let us go again to our own people, and to the land of our birth, from the oppressing sword.'

ಅವರು ಪದೇಪದೇ ಎಡವುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹೌದು, ಒಬ್ಬರ ಮೇಲೊಬ್ಬರು ಬಿದ್ದರು. ‘ಅವರು ಉಪದ್ರವ ಪಡಿಸುವವರ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಸ್ವಂತ ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೂ, ನಾವು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ದೇಶದ ಬಳಿಗೂ ತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗೋಣ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

17 They cried there, 'Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he has let the appointed time pass by.'"

ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹನು ನಾಶವಾದನು; ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.

18 "As I live," says the King, "whose name is the LORD of hosts, surely like Tabor among the mountains, and like Carmel by the sea, so shall he come.

“ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೆಂದು ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಅರಸನು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ‘ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ,’ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಬೋರಿನಂತೆಯೂ, ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ಮೆಲಿನಂತೆಯೂ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಬರುವನು.

19 You daughter who dwells in Egypt, furnish yourself to go into captivity; for Memphis shall become a desolation, and shall be burnt up, without inhabitant.

ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ಯುವತಿಯಾದ ನಿವಾಸಿಯೇ, ಸೆರೆಯ ಸಾಮಾನುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸಿಕೋ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೋಫ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಹಾಳಾಗುವುದು; ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಲ್ಲದ ಬೀಡಾಗುವುದು.

20 Egypt is a very beautiful heifer; but a horsefly from the north is coming against her.

“ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ದೇಶವು ಬಹಳ ಅಂದವಾದ ಕಡಸಾಗಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಉತ್ತರದಿಂದ ತೊಣಚೆಯು ಬಂದೇ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ.

21 Also her hired men in the midst of her are like calves of the stall; for they also are turned back, they are fled away together, they did not stand: for the day of their calamity has come on them, the time of their visitation.

ಅದರೊಳಗಿರುವ ಅದರ ಸಂಬಳದವರು ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಕರುಗಳಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅವರು ಸಹ ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಏಕವಾಗಿ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರು ನಿಲ್ಲಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರ ಆಪತ್ತಿನ ದಿವಸವೂ, ಅವರ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯ ಕಾಲವೂ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂತು.

22 The sound of it shall go like the serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as wood cutters.

ಅದರ ಶಬ್ದವು ಸರ್ಪದಂತೆ ಹೊರಡುವುದು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ದಂಡಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ, ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕಡಿಯುವವರ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಿಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬರುವರು.

23 They shall cut down her forest, says the LORD, though it can't be searched; because they are more than the locusts, and are innumerable.

ಆದರೆ ಅಡವಿಯನ್ನು ಅದು ಶೋಧಿಸಕೂಡದ್ದಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕುವರು,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. “ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಮಿಡತೆಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.

24 The daughter of Egypt shall be disappointed; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the north."

ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ಮಗಳು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡುವಳು. ಉತ್ತರದ ಜನರ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬೀಳುವಳು.”

25 "The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, says: 'Look, I will punish Amon of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with her gods, and her kings; even Pharaoh, and those who trust in him:

ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ತೆಬೆಸ್ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಆಮೋನ್ ದೇವತೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಫರೋಹನನ್ನೂ, ಈಜಿಪ್ಟನ್ನೂ, ಅದರ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅದರ ಅರಸರನ್ನೂ, ಅಂತೂ ಫರೋಹನನ್ನೂ, ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡುವ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ದಂಡಿಸುವೆನು.

26 and I will deliver them into the hand of those who seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants; and afterwards it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old,' says the LORD.

ಅವರ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೂ ಹುಡುಕುವವರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಡುವೆನು. ಅದರ ತರುವಾಯ ಅದು ಪೂರ್ವದ ಕಾಲಗಳಂತೆ ನಿವಾಸವಾಗುವುದೆಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

27 'But do not be afraid, Jacob my servant, neither be dismayed, Israel: for, look, I will save you from afar, and your descendants from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.

“ಆದರೆ ನೀನು, ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬನೇ, ನೀನು ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ದಿಗ್ಭ್ರಮೆಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ದೂರದಿಂದಲೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋದ ದೇಶದಿಂದಲೂ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವೆನು; ಅವನನ್ನು ಭಯಪಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

28 Do not be afraid, O Jacob my servant,' says the LORD; 'for I am with you: for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have driven you; but I will not make a full end of you, but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.'"

ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬನೇ, ನೀನು ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. “ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ; ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡಿಸಿದೆನೋ, ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ನ್ಯಾಯದಿಂದಲೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಆದರೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.”
