< Jacob 2 >

1 My brothers, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus (the) Messiah of glory with partiality.
Eigi ichil inaosa, eikhoigi Mapu Ibungo Jisu Christta, matik mangalgi Mapu Ibungobu thajaba mising oina, mapanthonggi mawong matou yenglaga nakhoina misingda lamchat chatpa khak touganu.
2 For if someone with a gold ring, in fine clothing, comes into your synagogue, and a poor person in filthy clothing also comes in;
Nakhoigi tinaphamda sanagi khudop siba amadi phajaba phijet setpa inakkhunba nupa ama aduga amotpa phi setpa lairaba nupa ama changlakpa thoklabadi,
3 and you pay special attention to the one who wears the fine clothing, and say, "Sit here in a good place;" but you tell the poor person, "Stand there," or "Sit by my footstool."
maduda nakhoina aphaba phi set chaba mi aduda henna ikai khumnaba uttuna mangonda asumna hairabadi, “Aphaba phamphamlang asida phambiyu,” aduga lairaba mi adudana, “Nahakti aduda lepu,” nattraga “Eigi khongnetpham manak asida phammu” haina hairabadi,
4 Have you not discriminated among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
adu oirabadi nakhoi nasen-gi narakta misak mimai yengba amadi phattaba wakhalna wayenbasing oiba nattra?
5 Listen, my beloved brothers. Did not God choose those who are poor in this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the Kingdom which he promised to those who love him?
Nungsiraba ichil inaosa, eina haibasi tabiyu! Taibangpangi mityengda lairabani haina singthanaba misingbu thajabada inakkhunnanaba amadi Ibungo mahakpu nungsibasingda pibigani wasakpikhiba Ningthou leibak adu phangnanaba Tengban Mapuna khandokpiba nattra?
6 But you have dishonored the poor person. Do not the rich oppress you, and personally drag you before the courts?
Adubu nakhoinadi lairabasingbu ikai khumnabide! Nakhoibu neihatpiba adu inakkhunbasingna nattra? Nakhoibu namduna wayelsangda chingduna puba adu makhoina nattra?
7 Do not they blaspheme the honorable name by which you are called?
Nakhoigi mapu oiriba mahakki aphaba minglen adubu thina ngangbasing adu makhoising asi nattra?
8 However, if you fulfill the royal law, according to the Scripture, "You are to love your neighbor as yourself," you do well.
Mapugi puyada yaoriba Ningthou leibakki wayel yathang haibadi, “Nangna nanggi keirol leikaibu nasamakkumna nungsiyu,” haiba adubu illabadi, nakhoina achumba adu tourabani.
9 But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors.
Adubu nakhoina misingbu makhoigi mapanthonggi matung-inna misak mimai yenglabadi, nakhoi pap toubani, aduga nakhoina Wayel Yathang thugaiba ama oina wayel yathangna nakhoibu aranba tahalli.
10 For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.
Kanagumba amana Wayel Yathang apumba ngakle hairaga, amakhak ngaktrabadi, wayel yathang apumba thugaibagi maral leirabani.
11 For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not commit murder." Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
12 So speak, and so do, as those who are to be judged by a law of freedom.
Eikhoibu ningtamhanbiba Wayel Yathang aduna wayen-gadaba misinggumna, nakhoina ngangsu ngang-u tousu tou.
13 For judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
Maramdi minungsi leitaba mahak adu Tengban Mapuna wayenba matamda minungsi utloi, Wayenbabudi minungsina ngammi.
14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him?
Eigi ichil inaosa, kanagumba mi amana mahakki thajaba lei hairaga, thabak yaodrabadi, maduda kari tongjaba leibage? Adugumba thajaba aduna makhoibu kanbiba ngamgadra?
15 And if a brother or sister is poorly clothed and may be lacking in daily food,
Kanagumba nachin nanao nattraga nachan nache ama setnaba phi amadi nongmagi channaba chara leitrabada,
16 and one of you tells them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled;" and yet you did not give them the things the body needs, what good is it?
nakhoi kanagumba amana makhoida asumna haibada, “Tengban Mapuna nakhoida yaipha thoujal pibiba oisanu! Lumna leiyu, ningthina cha-thakpiyu!” hairaga nakhoina makhoigi hakchanggi tangaiphadraba potchang adu pibidrabadi, madugi wadu hairubagi kanaba kari leibage?
17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.
Maduga chap manna thajabasuni, thabak yaodrabadi, madu asibani.
18 But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without works, and I by my works will show you my faith.
Adubu kanagumba mi amana haigani, “Nanggidi thajaba lei aduga eigi thabak lei.” Nahakki thajaba adu thabak yaodana eingonda utlu, aduga eigi thajaba adu eina nangonda eigi thabakna utke.
19 You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe, and shudder.
Tengban Mapu amakhak lei haiba asi nahakna thajei. Madu Aphabani! Lai phattabasingnasu madu thajei amasung kiduna thak thak nik-i.
20 But do you want to know, foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?
He apangba mi, thabak yaodaba thajabadi kanadabani haiba nahakna khangningbra?
21 Wasn't Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?
Eikhoigi ipa-ipu oiriba Abraham-bu achumba chatpa ama oina karamna singthanakhibage? Madu mahakki thabakki mapannani haibadi mahakna mahakki machanupa Isaac-pu latnapungda katkhiba matam adudani.
22 You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected;
Nahak uba ngamdabra? Mahakki thajaba adu mahakki thabaksingga loinna chatminnei; mahakki thabakki mapanna mahakki thajaba adu mapung phahalli.
23 and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "And Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness;" and he was called the friend of God.
“Abraham-na Tengban Mapubu thajei, aduga madu mangonda achumba chatpa ama oina singthanabire,” haiba Tengban Mapugi wahei adu thungle. Maram aduna mahakpu Tengban Mapugi marup haina koure.
24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
Mi amabu mahakki touriba thabakki mapanna achumba chatpa ama oina singthanei madu thajaba ngaktana natte haiba nakhoina ure.
25 In like manner was not Rahab the prostitute also justified by works, in that she received the messengers, and sent them out another way?
Matou adugumna oktabi Rahab-tasu oikhi. Mahakna toukhiba thabak adugi mapanna haibadi Israel-gi lanjabasing adu lousinbiba amadi makhoibu atoppa lambi amada nanthokpada mateng pangkhiba aduna mahakpu achumba chatpa oina singthanabikhi.
26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.
Maramdi thawai yaodraba hakchangna sibagum, thabak yaodaba thajaba adusu asibani.
